Previously, Parth Samthaan also admitted that he had doubts about taking on the role of ACP Ayushman in CID 2.
Parth Samthaan has revealed that he was approached by a fan to solve a murder case after he starred as ACP Ayushman in the show CID 2. In a recent interview, the actor shared that the fan messaged him on Instagram and asked him to solve his mother's murder case.
'Bahot log iss show ko seriously lete hai. Mujhe DM aaya tha 'I think mere mom ka murder ka case aap hie solve kar sakte ho. Aap apna please contact dijiye, aap hie mere last hope ho'. Aise log bhi hai (Many people take this show seriously. I got a DM saying 'I think only you can solve my mom's murder case. Please give me your contact number, you are my last hope'. There are people like this too)," Parth told Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa on their podcast.
For the unversed, Parth Samthaan recently featured in CID 2 as ACP Ayushmaan. However, his role in the show was only for a few weeks. He marked his exit from the show after ACP Pradyuman aka Shivaji Satam's return.
Previously, in an interview, Parth admitted that he had doubts about taking on the role of ACP Ayushman. The actor was speaking to Hindustan Times when he said, 'Initially, I rejected the role of ACP Pradyuman, because I don't relate to it. But the makers asked me to reconsider. I was also hesitant due to the show's long-standing cast and the fact that they'd have to address me as 'sir' on screen. It felt a bit unusual and awkward."
Parth then also explained that it was obvious for fans to be upset. He also admitted that he never expected trolling to be this intense. Parth mentioned that replacing a 'legend" was not easy and agreed that he had a big responsibility.
'It's a huge responsibility. I recently shot with Shivaji Sir, and it was a fantastic experience. At 75, his energy and dedication are incredible. He's been consistent in his role for over two decades, and that's truly commendable," Parth told India Forums.
'Honestly, I didn't expect the trolling to be this intense. I understand where it's coming from. Even I have been a fan of Shivaji Sir and the original characters. If I were in the viewers' place, I'd probably feel the same seeing someone new step into such a loved role," the actor added.

Sitaare Zameen Par worldwide box office collection day 1: Aamir Khan film beats Kesari Chapter 2, falls behind Sikandar

Sitaare Zameen Par worldwide box office collection day 1: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan made his return to the screen after three years with Sitaare Zameen Par, following the failure of Laal Singh Chaddha. Despite receiving positive reviews from audiences, the film had a slow start at the box office. It has surpassed the collection of Akshay Kumar's Kesari Chapter 2 but still trails behind Salman Khan's Sikandar. (Also Read: Salman Khan jokes Aamir Khan first offered Sitaare Zameen Par to him: 'Tab iska paperwork pe kaam chal raha tha') Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par takes a slow start at the box office. According to Sacnilk, Aamir's film earned ₹ 10.7 crore on day one of its release at the domestic box office. With ₹ 12.85 crore India gross and ₹ 7.15 crore overseas collection, the film's total worldwide collection now stands at ₹ 20 crore. The numbers are slightly underwhelming for an Aamir Khan film, especially considering his last release Laal Singh Chaddha, which failed commercially, still opened to ₹ 11.70 crore in India and ₹ 23.85 crore worldwide. However, the film has managed to surpass the day one haul of Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday's film Kesari Chapter 2, which collected ₹ 15 crore worldwide. Yet, it fell behind Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 ( ₹ 25.70 crore) and Salman Khan's Sikandar ( ₹ 26 crore). The film is expected to see a jump in numbers owing to the positive audience response. About Sitaare Zameen Par The sports comedy-drama is a spiritual sequel to Aamir's 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film stars Aamir as a basketball coach who is tasked with training a team of neurodivergent people for a tournament. The film also features Genelia D'Souza. The film introduces 10 debutant actors: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Simran Mangeshkar, and Aayush Bhansali. The ensemble cast also includes Dolly Ahluwalia, Gurpal Singh, Brijendra Kala, and Ankita Sehgal. An excerpt from Hindustan Times' review of Sitaare Zameen Par reads, 'The first half is slow and tests your patience. Aamir being angry with his new role, getting to know his special team, then struggling in his marriage with Sunita (Genelia Deshmukh) — there's a lot that eats up screen time and feels like lazy writing. There's the occasional laugh — pretty much what one saw in the trailer. The intermission point too isn't on a high. You settle into your seats after this, ready for a yawn-fest. But this is exactly when Sitaare Zameen Par miraculously finds its groove.'

Virat Kohli, Genelia D'Souza's 'Aeroplane Sex' Ad Was Too 'Controversial', Got Banned From TV

Many argued that the portrayal of Virat Kohli and Genelia D'Souza engaging in such behaviour was disrespectful to aviation professionals. Virat Kohli and Genelia D'Souza once starred in an advertisement for a watch brand, which was deemed too suggestive for Indian television. It was banned by the authorities for its 'adult content'. The video featured Genelia as an airhostess, enticing 'pilot' Virat to have sex with her during the course of the flight. 'Pilot' Virat gives in, risking the lives of the passengers. The advertisement suggested that the autopilot mode was introduced by airlines as the crew wanted to indulge in sexual relations. A glimpse of the clip has resurfaced on Reddit, reminding fans about the video. It was shared with the caption, 'The ad of Genelia and Virat was so controversial that it got banned within its release." Have a look here: One person wrote, 'Abhi dekha, ban hone jaisa tha." Another wrote, 'How did Genelia agree to this, considering the family she was about to get married into?" Another person wrote, referring to Ranbir Kapoor's character in Animal, 'Did it earlier than Ranvijay." Someone else added, 'Genelia was such a smoke show. Is still very beautiful." Referring to Virat's recent comment about the Instagram algorithm, another wrote, 'Now I have reached the conclusion that Virat bhau hi aapna Instagram chalate hai." The video was also reportedly banned as it showed people's lives being put at risk for humour. Many argued that the portrayal of a pilot and an airhostess engaging in such behaviour was disrespectful to aviation professionals and sent the wrong message to younger audiences. While the advertisement was banned from being aired on Indian television, it is still available on YouTube. Have a look here: Virat and Genelia featured in a series of provocative ads for the brand. In another video, the duo is seen emerging one after the other from a fitting room, dishevelled and exchanging flirty glances, implying that they had engaged in a sexual encounter inside. The ad hinted at carefree, nonchalant attitudes toward relationships and societal norms. While many viewers found the ad humorous and in line with modern culture, others criticised it for being too risqué for mainstream television. Complaints quickly poured in from viewers who considered the ad indecent and inappropriate, especially for younger audiences. Many argued that the commercial promoted casual sex and undermined Indian cultural values. Despite the backlash, the controversy did little to affect the careers of either Kohli or D'Souza. Kohli continued to grow into a global cricket icon, while Genelia remained a popular actress and public figure. First Published:
