Ariana Grande's grandmother Marjorie Grande, known as 'Nonna', dies at 99
Ariana Grande's grandmother Marjorie Grande, known to fans as "Nonna," has died. She was 99.
"We are devastated to share that the beloved matriarch of our family has passed away," Grande's mother, Joan Grande, wrote in a statement shared to her Instagram Story. Ariana re-posted the image to her own Story, sharing the news with her 375 million followers.
"Marjorie (Nonna) Grande passed peacefully in her home and was surrounded by her family and loved ones for every moment of her last few weeks. We thank you for your love, support and for respecting our privacy as we grieve and celebrate her beautiful, extraordinary life."
Ariana has spoken lovingly and often of her Nonna. At the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, Ariana told a reporter her grandmother was the second person, after her mother, she'd called after learning of her "Wicked" nomination.
Marjorie Grande had a cameo in the last track off Ariana's most recent album, "Eternal Sunshine." In "Ordinary Things (feat. Nonna)," Marjorie advises her granddaughter, "Never go to bed without kissing goodnight. It's the worst thing to do. Don't ever, ever do that. And if you can't, and if you don't feel comfortable doing it, you're in the wrong place. Get out."
Ariana explained in a March 2024 episode of The Zach Sang Show, "The album starts with a question and ends with an answer from a person that I love and trust so implicitly. I cherish what my family has to share with me."

'Shrinking' star Segel, 45, popped the question to girlfriend and 'So You Think You Can Dance' alumna Radomski, 34, she revealed on Wednesday on Instagram. Radomski shared a carousel of photos from the outdoor proposal, including photos of the actor kneeling as he asks for her hand in marriage. 'FOREVER YES,' Radomski said in her caption, adding emojis of a ring and a heart. Radomski, whose credits also include 'Once Upon a Hollywood' and TV series 'Chasing 8s' and 'Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty,' and Segel were first spotted together in October 2023 during a date night at Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights. The duo made their romance red-carpet official at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, when Segel was nominated for his work in Apple TV+'s 'Shrinking.' The pair continued hitting the red carpet later that year as part of the awards circuit, which included the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards and high-profile parties. Months before their engagement, 'How I Met Your Mother' star Segel and Radomski appeared again at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards. 'Nothing makes me happier than to stand by your side and see your light shine so bright!!!' Radomski said of Segel in an Instagram post shared in October amid the Season 2 premiere of 'Shrinking. Cynthia Erivo Misses Her First No. 1 By One Space
Cynthia Erivo's I Forgive You debuts at No. 2 on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart, marking ... More her highest solo U.K. chart position yet. LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - FEBRUARY 16: Cynthia Erivo attends the EE BAFTA British Academy Film Awards at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, in London, on February 16, 2025. (Photo by Stringer/Anadolu via Getty Images) Cynthia Erivo's name appeared on music charts around the world late last year, thanks to her starring role in the musical blockbuster film Wicked, in which she played Elphaba. The second installment in the series, Wicked: For Good, is set for release in just a few months, in the fall of 2025, and it will surely become another box office smash. In between movie projects, Erivo has released a new solo album, one that has nothing to do with the Broadway title and instead, simply showcases her voice and talent as a vocalist. I Forgive You debuts on multiple charts in the United Kingdom this week, earning Erivo a very special career win by bringing her to heights she's never reached on her own before. Erivo almost landed her first No. 1 album in the U.K. this week, but misses out by just one spot. I Forgive You launches in the runner-up position on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart. She comes in behind Lotus by Little Simz. That set, from the homegrown favorite, brings Little Simz back to the peak position on the genre-specific ranking for the fourth time. I Forgive You also launches inside the top 10 on another tally, the Official Album Downloads chart. On that list, which is focused only on pure purchases from platforms like iTunes, Erivo's latest kicks off its time at No. 10 on the download roster. Erivo scores her second solo placement on three of the five rankings on which I Forgive You debuts this week. The new project outpaces her previous effort, Ch.1 Vs. 1, on every list where it finds a home, bringing her to a new career peak on multiple rosters. I Forgive You opens at No. 13 on the Official Albums Sales chart and at No. 14 on the Official Physical Albums ranking. Erivo earns her first-ever appearance on the Official Vinyl Albums ranking this week. I Forgive You launches at No. 23 on the roster dedicated to the top-selling titles on wax in the U.K. As her new solo album debuts, one of Erivo's biggest hits — a Wicked classic — is also a bestseller again. 'Defying Gravity,' her collaboration with co-star Ariana Grande, returns to both the Official Vinyl Singles and Official Physical Singles charts, ranking inside the top 40 on the tallies once more.

Halsey and Lauren Jauregui Perform 'Strangers' Together for the First Time in 7 Years
In case you needed an update, Halsey and Lauren Jauregui are far from strangers. The singers, who both openly identify as bisexual, reunited to perform their 2017 hit, 'Strangers,' for the first time in 7 years during Halsey's For My Last Trick Tour stop at Chicago's Huntington Bank Pavilion on June 17. As proven by clips of their performance, there is truly no better way to celebrate Pride month—and, of course, fans went wild on social media once they surfaced. 'ARE U JOKING,' one fan wrote, while another added, 'Can't believe i'd live to see the day that they would sing this live together again.' This marks their first joint performance of the song since June 2018, when the Fifth Harmony alum kickstarted her solo career opening for Halsey on her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour. The song, which details the push-and-pull of a shifty relationship dynamic between two women, became an instant classic in the LGBTQ+ community when it was released. At the time, Halsey shared why she tapped Lauren for the track during an interview on The Zach Sang Show, saying, 'Lauren is a friend of mine and she is openly bisexual, and so am I. Our fans, really this past year, have just really expressed so much support and so much love and indication that they relate to us and that they are happy to us be outspoken about it.' 'I just love that Lauren and I are two women who have a mainstream pop presence doing a love song for the LGBT community,' Halsey said at the time. 'It's rare to see it from a girl's perspective.' The About-Face founder, who's non-binary and uses both she/her and they/them pronouns, also revealed that 'Strangers' was the first song in which she openly used female pronouns. 'It is the first song that I ever wrote where I openly used female pronouns and I have songs that are about women that I have been with but I was 19 and I tried to keep [my debut album] Badlands gender neutral,' she said. She continued, 'I was thinking to myself, 'If I want this song to be believable, it needs to be real.' So I'm not going to put a girl on this song to sing who's straight. I'm just not going to do it. So I reached out to Lauren, she came in and cut the vocal and it sounds awesome.' We can fully confirm it still holds up all these years later.
