Cardiff road closures for Lana Del Ray at Principality Stadium

The American singer-songwriter will kick off her UK and Ireland tour in Cardiff, along with support act London Grammar.
To ensure concert-goers can get to and from Principality Stadium safely, there will be a number of road closures in place around the stadium and in Cardiff city centre.
Some of these road closures will be in place from as early as 7am on Monday and will run until as late as 12am on Tuesday (June 24).

These road closures will be in place on Monday (June 23) for Lana Del Ray's show at Principality Stadium, according to Visit Cardiff:
From 7am
In order to protect queuing fans, the following roads will be closed from 7am:
Scott Road
Park Street
Full city centre road closure from 3pm
The following roads will be closed as part of the full city centre road closure, which will take place between 3pm and midnight:
Kingsway (North Road junction to Duke Street junction)
Cowbridge Road East (Cathedral Road junction to Westgate Street junction)
Tudor Street (Clare Road junction to Wood Street junction - access for residents and traders will be permitted via Fitzhammon Embankment)
Plantagenet Street and Beauchamp Street (Despenser Place junctions to Tudor Street junction - access for residents and traders will be permitted
Station Terrace and Guildford Street (Newport Road junction to Churchill Way junction) will be accessible for buses only
The following roads will be closed in their entirety:
Duke Street
Castle Street
High Street
Saint Mary Street
Caroline Street
Wood Street
Central Square
Westgate Street
Quay Street
Guildhall Place
Golate
Park Street
Havelock Street
Scott Road

Other road closures
Access to part of the Civic Centre will be managed throughout the day, with access only allowed for event parking, limited commuter parking, loading and access to private car parks.
Roads affected by this include:
King Edward VII Avenue
Museum Avenue
City Hall Road
College Road
Gorsedd Gardens Road
Traffic on the M4
Motorists heading to the Lana Del Ray concert at Principality Stadium on Monday (June 23) are being urged to plan their journey ahead of time as the M4 is expected to be "very busy".

Parking in Cardiff for Lana Del Ray concert
For those planning on driving to the Lana Del Ray concert at Principality Stadium, there are a number of parking options available.
There is event day parking available, according to Visit Cardiff, at:
Civic Centre (£20 or £30 for coaches, open 8am until midnight)
Sophia Gardens (£20 or £30 for coaches, open 8am until midnight)
Other parking options within the Cardiff city centre include:
North Road Car Parks (open 24 hours)
St David's Shopping Centre (closes at 8pm)
Castle Mews (open 24 hours)
John Lewis (closes at 12.05am)
Capitol Shopping Centre (closes at midnight)
NCP - Adam Street, Dumfries Place and Greyfriars Road (open 24 hours)

There are more parking options available (at the time of writing) a little further out, according to Principality Parking, at:
Llandaff Rugby Club, The Old Mill, Western Ave, Cardiff, CF5 2AZ
Canton Rugby Club, Lawrenny Avenue, Cardiff, CF11 8BR
Maindy Road, Cardiff, CF24 4HQ
You can book your spot at these three car parks by heading to the Principality Parking website.
Park and ride facilities
There is also a park-and-ride facility available at Vindico Arena on International Drive in the Sports Village, Cardiff Bay (CF11 0JS).
The park-and-ride service will cost £15 (cash only).
The first bus departs the site at 11am with the last bus back from the city centre at midnight.
The car park is open from 9am until "soon after" the last bus arrives back.

Trains
Transport for Wales (TfW) and Great Western Railway (GWR) will operate additional services and increase the number of train carriages used to manage the "expected increase" in passenger numbers.
A queuing system will also be in place outside Cardiff Central Station from 10pm.
Visit Cardiff said: "Those looking to travel by train are warned to check the time of their last train home, and to allow plenty of time."

Cardiff Queen Street Station will also close at 10pm (unless customers have accessible requirements or are travelling to Cardiff Bay).
