PhysicsWallah to provide Rs 300 crore learning tools in Telangana
Ed-tech platform PhysicsWallah has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Education of Telangana to offer educational products worth Rs 300 crore across the academic years 2025–2029. As part of the initiative, PhysicsWallah will deliver live classes, localised content, online educational resources including videos, articles and exercises, and access to AI tutors that can assist with doubts. According to the company, the partnership will benefit students from Grades 9–12 in the state. For students in Classes 11 and 12, the content will be aligned with NEET and JEE preparation, while Class 9 and 10 students will have access to foundational resources to support academic performance, the company said in a statement. In 2025, over 5 lakh (5,09,403) students appeared for the Class 10 exams and nearly 10 lakh (9,96,971) students appeared for intermediate examinations under the Telangana State Board. Speaking about the collaboration, Prateek Maheshwari, Co-founder of PhysicsWallah, said, 'We are proud to support the Government of Telangana in attempting to make learning accessible to students preparing for milestones like NEET and JEE. This initiative is an example of our shared attempt to equity in public education.' A statement from the Chief Minister's Office read, 'The decision to seek the help of noted organisations was taken in line with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's idea of improving educational standards in the state. NGOs roped in to provide tech learning solutions in Telangana schools
HYDERABAD: In a major step towards transforming public education, the Education department has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with several prominent national and international NGOs to provide advanced EdTech-based learning solutions free of cost to students in government schools. The MoUs were signed in the presence of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. With the vision of enhancing the quality of education in the state, the government has entered into collaborations with six reputed organisations to introduce cutting-edge educational technologies in public schools. These include EkStep Foundation, led by Nandan Nilekani, Prajwala Foundation, headed by Sunitha Krishnan, Physics Wallah, led by Alakh Pandey, Khan Academy, PiJam Foundation, founded by Shoaib Dar and Educate Girls, led by Safeena Husain. Revolutionary change The Chief Minister's Office said: 'Enchanted by the welfare and development programmes implemented by the People's Government, these organisations came forward and joined hands with the government. The decision to seek the help of noted organisations was taken in line with the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's idea of improving educational standards in the state. The state government strongly believes that partnering with India's renowned organisations will bring a revolutionary change in the education sector in the country.' The EkStep Foundation is currently working in 540 schools with an artificial intelligence-based platform. Now, the organisation will offer services in more than 5,000 primary schools in 33 districts. The organisation helps with Telugu and English languages as well as Maths basics from Class 3 to 5. Physics Wallah will provide coaching to Inter students in preparing for NEET, JEE and CLAT exams. It will also provides free training to students from the school level for competitive exams.

Hyderabad: The Telangana govt on Sunday signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with six NGOs, including Nandan Nilekani's EkStep Foundation and Alakh Pandey's Physics Wallah, to provide govt school students across the state free AI-powered learning platform and coaching for competitive exams such as NEET, JEE and CLAT. The MoUs were signed between the department of education and the NGOs in the presence of chief minister A Revanth Reddy. Apart from EkStep Foundation and Physics Wallah the govt will collaborate with Sunitha Krishnan's Prajwala Foundation, Khan Academy, Shoaib Dar's Pi Jam Foundation and Safina Hussain's Educate Girls. CM Revanth Reddy said the MoU aims to introduce technology-enabled teaching solutions, entirely free of cost. "This initiative is part of the state govt's vision to enhance access to quality education for underprivileged students. By partnering with reputed organisations, we hope to bring about transformative change in education. We are laying the foundation for a knowledge-driven future," he said. "These partnerships reflect our commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind in this digital age. The govt firmly believes that collaborating with India's leading educational organisations will bring about a revolutionary improvement in educational standards both within the state and across the country," he added. Under the agreement, the EkStep Foundation will expand its AI-driven learning platform from 540 schools to more than 5,000 primary schools across all 33 districts. The platform offers multilingual foundational learning in Telugu, English and Mathematics for pupils in Classes 3 to 5. Physics Wallah will provide free, high-quality coaching for competitive examinations including NEET, JEE, and CLAT to govt students at the Intermediate level, with an emphasis on early preparation during school years. Khan Academy will deliver curriculum-aligned, video-based instruction in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects for classes 6 to 10, enabling students to learn at their own pace. The Prajwala Foundation will implement comprehensive child safety and protection programmes aimed at students from classes 6 to 12. The Pi Jam Foundation will offer training in coding and computational thinking for students in classes 1 to 10, fostering digital literacy and problem-solving skills from an early age. Educate Girls, which has already facilitated the enrolment of over 16,000 out-of-school children in Telangana, will continue to focus on improving literacy among girls.
