And now Winston, played by funnyman Paul Riley, 55, has been immortalised in a new artwork.
Now Still Game fans can catch a glimpse of their favourite grumpy man all over again - as he's been painted on a wall next to Queen Street.
Local artist Tef captured the telly pensioner's signature grimace in a piece that has been praised by punters and co-stars alike.
He shared a video of his work on social media with the caption "Stevieee" - a nod to Winston's comical rivalry with Stevie the bookie, played by Matt Costello.
Gavin Mitchell, 60, who plays Bobby the Barman, was quick to praise the mural.
He posted a series of emojis to signify the famous "two prints p***k" catchphrase that's synonymous with the series.
One fan said: "Love this!! We need an Isa one next."
Another supporter wrote: "This is class - we need the full set."
A dedicated viewer added: "Looks like the face he's making when he's on the back of the bus in the Dial-a-Bus episode."
And an impressed follower quipped: "My dog is named after Winston.
"I need to find this so I can take a picture of it with my dog."

Sadly vandals defaced the mural shortly after it was completed.
Terf hit headlines last month when he painted another mural of a comedy character.
He paid tribute to comic Brian 'Limmy' Limond by spraying his sketch show character Dee-Dee onto the side of a building next to Yoker Ferry.
It's a nod to a popular episode of the programme where he goes on a mysterious adventure to the Glasgow district.

BBC statement about Gaza: Doctors Under Attack

BBC News is determined to report all aspects of the conflict in the Middle East impartially and fairly. Over a year ago we commissioned Gaza: Doctors Under Attack, a documentary about the plight of medics in Gaza, from an independent production company, Basement Films. We paused production of this film in April, having made a decision that we could not broadcast the film while a review into a separate Gaza documentary was ongoing. With both films coming from independent production companies, and both about Gaza, it was right to wait for any relevant findings – and put them into action – before broadcasting the film. However, we wanted the doctors' voices to be heard. Our aim was to find a way to air some of the material in our news programmes, in line with our impartiality standards, before the review was published. For some weeks, the BBC has been working with Basement Films to find a way to tell the stories of these doctors on our platforms. Yesterday it became apparent that we have reached the end of the road with these discussions. We have come to the conclusion that broadcasting this material risked creating a perception of partiality that would not meet the high standards that the public rightly expect of the BBC. Impartiality is a core principle of BBC News. It is one of the reasons that we are the world's most trusted broadcaster. Therefore, we are transferring ownership of the film material to Basement Films. Contrary to some reports, since we paused production of Gaza: Doctors Under Attack in April, it has not undergone the BBC's final pre-broadcast sign-off processes. Any film broadcast will not be a BBC film. The BBC has produced powerful coverage of this conflict. Alongside breaking news and ongoing analysis, we have produced award winning documentaries such as Life and Death in Gaza, and Gaza 101. We have also investigated allegations of abuse of Palestinian prisoners and Israel's attacks on Gaza's hospitals. Just today we are running a powerful piece of longform journalism that captures the final two weeks inside a Gaza hospital before it was forced to close. We want to thank the doctors and contributors and we are sorry we could not tell their stories. The BBC will continue to cover events in Gaza impartially.

Meghan will see sex assault claims against best pal Tyler Perry as SO toxic – watch her drop him, experts slam

Earlier this week Tyler Perry was sued for sexual assault and harassment by fellow actor Derek Dixon, which Perry's team has denied as "a scam". Now, royal experts believe Meghan will turn her back on her former friend amidst a sexual assault claim. Speaking on The Sun's Royal show, expert Samara Gill has suggested that the allegations against Perry could damage the Sussexes' brand. Samara said: "There's nothing very Christian about a sexual assault claim and I think it's just one other damaging thing to add to their now-war chest of things that have been a problem for them." She added: "I think it shows the type of people that Meghan likes to surround herself with and I think it is damaging to their brand yet again because he was meant to be their closest friend." Samara also pointed out that the couple had made the most of Perry's wealth - including his home, and his plane - when they left the royal family in 2020. Now though, she thinks the couple will be keen to distance themselves from the alleged abuser. She added: "Just watch how quickly they go." Samara criticised the couple's hypocrisy, as they cut off toxicity "even though they're the ones who are really toxic." It's part of a pattern of behaviour that Samara said reflects their eagerness to use people before throwing them aside. Meghan's kids will be SO angry when they grow up & realise how they were used by her Perry previously let the couple stay in his $18 million LA home after they left the UK in 2020. At the time, he spoke on Today with Hoda and Jenna about his decision to let them stay at the lavish property. Perry said: "It was a very difficult time for them. What I know about the two of them, and I wish the world knew, how much these two people love each other." More recently, Tyler appeared in the Meghan's new Netflix show. Earlier this week Tyler Perry was sued for sexual assault and harassment by fellow actor Derek Dixon. The lawsuit claims $260 million in damages for harassment that occurred over several years. Dixon alleges that Perry repeatedly sent sexually suggestive texts, despite Dixon making it clear he wasn't interested. This later progressed to Perry groping Dixon in July 2021, the lawsuit alleges. Finally, Dixon filed a complaint with the Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission in June 2024, before leaving his role in The Oval. Matthew Boyd, an attorney for Perry, gave the following statement to PEOPLE. He said: "This is an individual who got close to Tyler Perry for what now appears to be nothing more than setting up a scam. "But Tyler will not be shaken down and we are confident these fabricated claims of harassment will fail."

The slip-on, ballet-style flat comes with a lightly gripped sole and a diamond cut out design. You can also choose from five colours: white, charcoal, pink, green and orange. At just a tenner, it is a fraction of the price of a £85 designer version by Ancient Greek Sandals spotted on Net-a-Porter. This pricey alternative also comes in a range of colours and is 'made for the beach with their rubbery, washable PVC.' The George at Asda affordable lookalike has already caught the attention of fashion TikTokers. One creator shared her find in-store, saying Asda is 'pulling through again,' sparking over 20,000 likes. Abby, who posts under @abbybella3, shared: 'I need to share with you girls what I've just bought. I am so happy with them. 'You girls are all gonna be like, 'What the f*** has she bought now?'' She revealed she had the expensive Net-a-Porter pair on her wish list for ages, but they had been out of stock and she also questioned the price. I cannot wait to style them.' People were quick to comment and say they wanted to snap up a pair. One wrote: 'I'm running to Asda for the orange ones if they've got them cos WOW!' Another added: 'Much prefer them over crocs'. How Asda has upped it's game By Fabulous' Fashion Director Tracey Lea Sayer Take a whizz round the aisles in Asda it is hard not to notice how good the George at Asda clothing range is at the minute. Add into the mix their recent collaboration with fashion designer Roksanda, celebrating 40 years of London Fashion Week, which is full of the designer's signature colour blocking dresses, oversized Borg fleeces and bold stripe co-ords, it is easy to see why the brand is on fire! All proceeds from the range go to The British Fashion Council to help promote young designers, so a win win! There also seems to be a return to quality in the clothing range. 'Style Stories' with fashion influencer Erica Davies is a capsule collection of Autumn must-haves which delivered not only on style, but on great pocket friendly prices starting from £7. Gorgeous quilted jackets, slogan sweats and a chocolate faux sheepskin flying jacket are among my faves. Plus, George at Asda has just been crowned with the Best Kidswear in our Fabulous Fashion awards voted for by the Fabulous readers. Click to buy enables you to shop the whole range online or you can just have a browse while you do the weekly shop. You are welcome!
