Fazl asks why PM was not present in NA
ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Monday lamented the absence of the prime minister, the foreign minister and the defence minister from the National Assembly session.
Talking to media outside the Parliament House, the JUI chief said that the country was going through a critical situation. 'India is trying to create a problem but the Pakistan's defence is strong and the entire nation is standing in one row', said the JUI chief, adding that they were expecting a resolution; however, the prime minister, the foreign minister and the defence minister were not present in the house.
'To whom will they convey their views', said Maulana, adding that India has challenged them and the government should take the Parliament into confidence regarding the preparations. He said that they boycotted the proceedings of the Parliament, adding that the army does not fight the war alone, the entire nation is together. He said that everything else should be left behind for the sake of the country's unity.
He said that India was talking about war, while the Modi government was not getting public support. It is the government's job to call an all-parties' conference, said the JUI chief while replying to a question, adding that if they call an all-parties' conference, there will be talk of division. If it is deemed, to call an all-parties' conference, then they will contact former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he added.
He said that Modi has suffered a clear defeat in Kashmir. Modi is sectarian, wants to divide Muslims by creating riots, the JUI chief added.

K-P budget to be approved only after Imran's nod, says CM's aide
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister's Advisor on Information Barrister Dr Saif has said that the provincial budget will not be approved without consultation with Patron-in-Chief Imran Khan. He noted that people voted for the vision of the Patron-in-Chief therefore all key decisions, including the budget, should reflect the public mandate. Speaking to the media, Dr Saif warned that people would not tolerate any disrespect to their democratic mandate. He further cautioned that any attempt to impose an emergency in the province would be short-lived, adding, "A fake government will not survive even a day." The advisor clarified that the authority to dissolve the provincial assembly rested with the Chief Minister, who could exercise it at his discretion. He reiterated that the people of K-P voted for the ideology of Imran Khan thus all significant decisions must be made in consultation with him. He urged the federal government to refrain from "petty tactics". He accused the federal government of relentlessly trying to undermine the K-P government, adding that the people of the province were being punished for supporting the Patron-in-Chief. "Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa is a vital unit of the federation, and weakening it is tantamount to weakening Pakistan itself," said Saif. He warned that any conspiracy against the province would have serious repercussions. Under the vision of the Patron-in-Chief and the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the province is witnessing rapid development, which is hard to digest by the federal government. He termed K-P a stronghold of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), adding the movement for the release of the Patron-in-Chief will gain full momentum from the province. He alleged that false cases had been registered to confine the Patron-in-Chief, but assured that all such fabricated cases would soon be dismissed.

PPP delegation meets Fazl
ISLAMABAD: A delegation of senior leaders of Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Saturday, met with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and discussed Budget-2025-26 and the political situation of the country. The PPP delegation comprised Khursheed Ahmad Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira, and Chaudhry Manzoor. Haroon Mehmood, Mufti Abrar Ahmed participated in the meeting. JI urges govt to convene emergency OIC summit on ME
LAHORE: Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has urged the government to immediately convene an emergency summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Islamabad, in light of the deteriorating situation in the Middle East. Speaking at Mansoora on Friday, he stated that the recent acts of aggression in Gaza and Iran are being carried out under the patronage of the United States — a country he described as an enemy of the Muslim world. He stressed that the Muslim Ummah, along with peace-loving nations, must urgently adopt a joint strategy to counter US-Israeli aggression. 'After wreaking havoc in Iraq and Afghanistan, the US now appears determined to replicate the same destruction in Iran,' said Rehman. 'It [the US] continues to support India's blatant human rights violations in occupied Kashmir. Without Washington's backing, Israel holds no power — and yet, despite overwhelming international support for a ceasefire in Gaza, the US vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution aimed at ending the conflict. This is a deliberate push toward global warfare.' The JI chief reaffirmed that the people of Pakistan stand firmly with the people of Iran. He called on governments of Muslim countries to reject fear of American pressure and boldly represent the sentiments of the Ummah. Criticizing Islamabad's silence, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman noted that despite clear threats of an expanding war — including Israel's attacks on Iran and the US signalling deeper military involvement — the government has failed to take concrete steps. 'The entire Muslim world is looking to Pakistan for leadership,' he said. 'Islamabad must rise to the occasion and play a decisive role on the issues of Gaza and Iran. If the flames of war continue to spread, it will not only engulf the Middle East but also South Asia and beyond — a catastrophe that will be impossible to contain.'
