Dixon third company to come up in electronics hub

Noida: Dixon Technologies has secured 22.5 acres in YEIDA's electronics manufacturing cluster (EMC) in Sector 10 near the upcoming Noida International Airport, becoming the third company to join the hub. Officials said on Friday that Dixon has received a letter of intent (LoI) for setting up its manufacturing unit for mobile phones, consumer electronics, telecom equipment, lighting products, and white goods. YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh informed Dixon Technologies that their proposal was approved in-principle. However, the final allotment was subject to clearance from the Invest UP Empowered Committee and adherence to state policy guidelines and regulatory norms. Recently, approvals were issued to two other firms — Ascent-K Circuit and Aurionpro ToshiAutomatic Systems — for units under the central govt's EMC 2.0 scheme. The land allotment in the 206 acre cluster gained strong traction from top industrial players, officials said. YEIDA officials said the land acquisition process was ongoing, and provisional LoIs were issued in line with policy clearances. "With Dixon joining the cluster, officials expect the EMC in Sector 10 to emerge as a key electronics manufacturing hub in north India, catalysing further investment and job creation in the region," the CEO added. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Utendorf: GEERS sucht 700 Testhörer für Hörgeräte ohne Zuzahlung GEERS Undo The EMC 2.0 in Sector 10 received in-principle approval from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) during the 7th Project Review Committee meeting held on April 11. Havells India Ltd has been designated as the anchor unit and is allotted 50 acres within the cluster. Dixon Technologies operates 12 plants in Noida and one in Greater Noida, managed by its subsidiaries and joint ventures. The company operates dedicated manufacturing units for phones for Xiaomi, Motorola and Nokia, besides earphones and headphones under Boat Lifestyle. In 2023, Dixon Technologies signed an MoU with the UP govt during the UP Global Investors Summit, with Sunil Vachani, chairman of Dixon Technologies, announcing plans for additional units for manufacturing and designing electronic products in Noida. Dixon's Greater Noida plant, sprawling over 20 acres in Ecotech 8, manufactures refrigerators. Collaborating with a Japanese company Rexxame, Dixon operates another Noida plant focusing on manufacturing PCBs for air conditioners.

Toyota Land Cruiser LC 300 Hybrid revealed: Most powerful LC ever with 475 hp!

Japanese Automaker Toyota has revealed the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 Hybrid in the Australian markets. The SUV features a new petrol-hybrid powertrain delivering a combined output of 457 hp, making it the most powerful Land Cruiser ever. The Japanese automaker has also refreshed the Land Cruiser 300 with subtle design enhancements and features. The new Land Cruiser 300 Hybrid is scheduled to launch in Australia in the first half of 2026, with other markets to follow. There is no confirmation on when TKM ( Toyota Kirloskar Motor ) will bring the LC 300 petrol hybrid to India. Talking about the new hybrid powertrain, the new Hybrid LC gets a newly developed 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine , coupled with an electric motor in a parallel hybrid setup. Together, this configuration delivers a combined output of 457 hp and 790 nm of torque. It comes paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and also gets 4x4. The same engine also does the job in the Lexus LX 700h luxury SUV. In addition to the new petrol-hybrid powertrain, the Land Cruiser 300 hybrid features a few subtle design revisions when compared to the regular model. It features a redesigned front bumper and a slightly enlarged air intake, along with HEV-specific badging on the boot lid. These cosmetic tweaks are limited to the hybrid model, as the GR Sport variant, despite sharing the same hybrid powertrain retains its original exterior design. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Ductless Air Conditioners Are Selling Like Crazy [See Why] Keep Cool Click Here Undo VinFast VF7, VF6 Review: Good for India or not?| TOI Auto Moving inside, the changes are minimal. The most notable update is a revised digital instrument cluster that includes hybrid-specific displays and graphics. The infotainment system also sees an upgrade, now featuring a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen. In the boot area, it now gets a 1,500-watt power outlet. Talking about the model available in India, it's available in two variants - ZX and GR-S, priced from Rs 2.31 crores (ex-showroom). The SUV is powered by a 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 diesel engine, generating 309 hp and 700 Nm of peak torque. This powerhouse is mated to a 10-speed automatic torque converter transmission, sending power to all four wheels via a full-time 4WD system. Oil tumbles, stocks rebound after Trump Middle east pause

Stock markets ticked higher on Friday while oil skirted close to its biggest daily drop since April after President Donald Trump pushed back a decision on US military involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict. Rising risks from the Middle East have loomed large on the world's top indexes again this week. Europe's main bourses all rose between 0.5 per cent-1 per cent after similar gains across Asia, although it was touch and go whether it would be enough to prevent a second straight weekly loss for MSCI's main world index. Israel bombed targets in Iran, and Iran fired missiles at Israel overnight as the week-old war continued although Friday's markets moves, which also included a modest drop in the dollar, showed an element of relief. That was largely pinned on Thursday's statement from the White House that Trump will decide in the next two weeks - rather than right away - whether the US will get involved in the war. European foreign ministers were to meet their Iranian counterpart in Geneva on Friday, seeking a path back to diplomacy over its contested nuclear programme. The relief the US wasn't charging into the conflict sent oil prices down as low as $76.10 per barrel, although they were last at just over $77 and still up 4 per cent for the week and 20 per cent for the month. " Brent crude is down 2.5 per cent today in the clearest sign that fears over an imminent escalation in the Israel/Iran conflict have eased," MUFG strategist Derek Halpenny said. Gold, another traditional safe-haven play for traders, was also lower on the day although Nasdaq, S&P 500 , and Dow futures were all in the red after US markets had been closed on Thursday. Asian shares had gained 0.5 per cent overnight thanks to a 1.2 per cent jump in Hong Kong's Hang Seng and as newly elected President Lee Jae Myung's stimulus plans saw South Korea's Kospi top 3,000 points for the first time since early 2022. China's central bank held its benchmark lending rates steady as widely expected in Beijing, while data from Japan showed core inflation there hit a two-year high in May, keeping pressure on the Bank of Japan to resume interest rate hikes. That in turn lifted the yen and pushed down the export-heavy Nikkei in Tokyo. Oil retreats The dollar was ending an otherwise positive week lower on the day, with the euro up 0.3 per cent against the US currency at $1.1527 and the pound 0.2 per cent higher at $1.3494. The US bond market, which was also closed on Thursday, resumed trading with the key 10-year Treasury bond yield flat at 4.39 per cent, while German 10-year yields , which serve as Europe's borrowing benchmark rate, fell 2.5 basis points to 2.49 per cent. Gold prices eased 0.5 per cent to $3,354 an ounce, but were set for a weekly loss of 2.3 per cent. But the main commodity market focus remained oil. Brent crude futures were last down $1.60, or around 2.2 per cent, at $77.28 a barrel in London although they were still on track to end the week 4 per cent higher. PVM analyst John Evans said the big market risk of the Middle East troubles was "unintended action that escalates the conflict and touches upon oil infrastructure". "The world has more than adequate supply for 2025, but not if the nightmare scenario of 20 million (barrels per day) being blocked in the seas of Arabia, however briefly that might be," he said.
