Edifier Unveils Its New LolliClip Open-Style Wireless Earbuds For Sporty Types
The new LolliClip open style earbuds are designed for sporty types or anyone who needs to be aware ... More of their surroundings.
Award-winning audio brand Edifier has joined the stampede towards open-style earbuds increasingly requested by sporty types or anyone else who needs to be aware of their surroundings while listening to their favorite music.
The new Edifier LolliClip earbuds include adaptive noise cancellation, a secure multi-curve ear hook and immersive spatial audio which can track the user's head movements. The earbuds are also certified for Hi-Res wireless audio and promise a big sound thanks to their large 13mm dynamic drivers featuring a titanium-coated diaphragm.
Equipped with three microphones each side, the Edifier LolliClip earbuds have an AI algorithm for making phone calls clearer. The earbuds have an IP56 rating for resisting dust and water. There is also Multipoint connectivity that offers seamless switching between two Bluetooth host devices.
Each LolliClip earpiece attach to the ear rim with the speaker directed towards the ear canal but ... More without blocking it. The open style leaves the listener aware of what is going on around them.
Users can select advanced ANC levels based on the physical fit of the earbuds and the surrounding conditions. The result, says Edifier, is a clear and immersive listening experience even when in noisy environments, all the while maintaining the comfort of an open-ear design.
An innovative multi-curve ear hook is wrapped in skin-friendly silicone and provides a fit that is both secure and comfortable, making the earbuds suitable for daily use when working out, hiking or enjoying music while working.
Directional acoustics technology used in the Edifier LolliClips reduces any sound leakage even though the earbuds have an open-ear design. The 13mm dynamic drivers are large enough to deliver a sound that's powerful enough for an open design.
Other features on the LolliClip earbuds include support for the Hi-Res LDAC audio codec with a wireless sampling rate up to 96kHz, that's three times the data transmission rate of standard Bluetooth codecs. Hi-Res Wireless certification provides clear and lossless audio and the earbuds feature 360-degree Spatial Audio with real-time head-tracking powered by sensors in each earpiece for an immersive and dynamic sound that can adapts and move with listener.
The Edifier LolliClip earbuds can provide up to 39 hours of playing time with the charge in the ... More earbuds and their storage case.
Audio Channel Detection And Multipoint Connection
With a symmetrical design and intelligent audio channel detection, the LolliClip earbuds are automatically calibrated enabling interchangeable wear on either side so you don't need to check which is the left and right earpiece. Multipoint connectivity lets the LolliClip earbuds pair with two different Bluetooth devices at the same time and then the suer can switch seamlessly between them and have music playing on one device while being able to take phone calls on the other.
Speaking of phone calls, Edifier says the LolliClips have three high-sensitivity microphones in each earpiece backed by an AI algorithm for producing clearer hands-free calls. And if the phone call goes on a bit, the LolliClips can provide up to nine hours of playing time from a single charge. With the power held in the storage case, there is a total of 39 hours playing time. A quick 15-minute charge provides 3 hours of listening time.
These new LolliClip earbuds are compatible with Edifier's latest vesion of its ConneX smartphone app which can unlock additional functions such as heart rate and blood oxygen detection, a drainage function, personalized control settings and much more.

Magnificent 7 May Need to Make Room for Broadcom
Broadcom joined the trillion-dollar club late last year, and its market value has continued to climb since. The software and chip company has been riding the AI wave as companies like Alphabet and Meta place orders for its custom AI chips. The tech giant's stock doubled in each of the past two years, climbing more than 350% from the start of 2023 to yesterday's close. With a $1.2 trillion market cap, Broadcom is the S&P 500's seventh-most-valuable company, worth more than either Walmart or Berkshire Hathaway. Broadcom's skyrocketing value has some Wall Streeters wondering whether it's time for a shakeup of the Magnificent Seven, which currently includes Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia and Tesla. READ ALSO: OpenAI Careens Toward Messy Divorce From Microsoft and Drones Steal the Paris Air Show Analysts expect Broadcom's sales to soar 22% this fiscal year and 21% in 2026. Broadcom reported earnings earlier this month that topped analysts' estimates after raking in $15 billion in revenue in its most recent quarter. Nvidia is the only company in the Magnificent Seven whose sales growth surpasses Broadcom's. In contrast, Tesla's revenue has contracted 1% this year, and its shares have tanked. The automaker's market cap is just above the $1 trillion mark. Four of the companies in the Magnificent Seven have seen their shares fall this year. Meanwhile, Broadcom's business is booming, especially its AI arm: Broadcom has a sprawling empire of technology that ranges from Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chips to cybersecurity software, but its custom AI chips now make up nearly a third of its revenue. The tech company made $4.4 billion of its revenue from AI in the second quarter (a 60% annual uptick) and expects $5.1 billion next quarter as cloud providers like Alphabet place more orders. The company predicts AI growth will continue next year. Name Games: The Magnificent Seven is a way of grouping together some of the S&P 500's most influential companies, similar to its predecessor FAANG (made up of Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Google before Facebook and Google changed their names). But some experts say the purpose of these groupings is to track trends, not just the most valuable companies. If the trend investors are eyeing now is AI, then swapping Tesla out for Broadcom may not make sense since Tesla is also leveraging AI (for robotaxis and humanoid robots). Another option might be to simply expand the Magnificent 7 to a Magnificent 8. This post first appeared on The Daily Upside. Early Prime Day deals include the 8BitDo Micro gamepad for only $17
Amazon Prime Days begins again on July 8, but early deals are already starting to trickle out. For instance, the 8BitDo Micro gamepad is on sale for just $17. This is a record-low price and represents a discount of 33 percent. However, the deal only applies to the green colorway. The Micro is a Bluetooth controller designed for the Nintendo Switch and Android devices, but it should also integrate with gadgets like the Steam Deck and iPhones. The company has released a firmware update for Switch 2 compatibility, so that should work too. We've tested other 8BitDo controllers with Nintendo's new console and came away impressed. This is a record-low price. $17 at Amazon This is an extremely tiny gamepad that still manages to pack in 16 buttons. It's a near-perfect way to play retro-tinged 2D platformers. Did we mention it's small? This thing will easily fit in a pocket or just about anywhere else. The company wasn't kidding around when they named it Micro. There's one caveat. The diminutive size of the 8BitDo Micro doesn't allow for actual joysticks and there's no haptic engine for rumble or anything like that. This isn't the best controller for brand-new AAA games. If you absolutely must have a pair of joysticks, for FPS titles and the like, the 8BitDo Lite SE is also on sale for $22. Follow @EngadgetDeals on X for the latest tech deals and buying advice .
