BL actor Miko Gallardo opens up about sexual abuse, blackmail: 'Let me go. I want my freedom.'
Trigger Warning: Mentions of sexual abuse, mental health struggles, suicide
Miko Gallardo opened up about 'what I have been growing through my whole life,' in a video posted on YouTube Tuesday.
In the video titled "My Final Message," the actor and 'It's Showtime's' 'BidaMan' introduced himself, saying his real name is Dwayne, and his name online is OchoMiko.
Gallardo said he is not asking for sympathy or attention, 'I simply want things to end.'
'For the past 10 years, a whole decade of my life, I have been blackmailed and exploited,' he said. 'I'm sending this message out to the person, you know who you are.'
Gallardo did not drop any names.
He added he wants things to end smoothly. 'Let me go. I want my freedom.'
'I am begging. I am not asking. I am begging for things to end. I want it to end. I want my freedom,' Gallardo said.
'[Ten] years of this blackmail and threats and extortion, I am done. I will do whatever you want me to do for things to end.'
According to Gallardo, he is willing to end his relationship and pay the person back just to end the situation.
'Whatever your reason is, whatever your wants are, I will, I will give it. I will do it because I'm done and I'm tired. I'm asking in return is my freedom and my peace so I can go about my days and my life without having to worry anymore,' he said.
Gallardo added that he wants to go home as he misses his grandmother.
In his video, Gallardo told stories about his past abusive experiences to give a sense of his current situation. He revealed being raped 'by two people I trusted as older sisters" when he was only eight years old.
Gallardo added he was also 'almost raped by older men' around the same age.
'The only reason why they didn't go through with it was because they almost got caught, but I did not speak up,' he said. 'I was a scared little boy who never talks, but this time, I'll say it all. I don't care. I don't give a fuck. I don't give a fuck anymore.'
Around 16 and 17 years old, Gallardo also revealed that he had a sexual relationship with a 'woman who was way older.'
'Growing up, that really fucked up my mind. Filled my head with anger, lust, and bad choices, and that's the reason, maybe, why I'm here,' Gallardo said.
He also revealed that while his acting career started, 'I got people sexually assaulting me in this industry, in the acting industry.
'Filipino P. Diddy did try to get me many, many times, but I never spoke up. They told me to shut up and take it in and just focus on my career. And that messed me up big time,' Gallardo said.
Gallardo said those experiences led him 'to bad decisions, bad choices, substance abuse, alcohol, you name it.'
He said, 'They never got hold of me, because I always tried to find a way to reason out or run away, but I was never able to fight back. Because if you do, you know what happens when you fight back in this industry. You know what happens? They bury you. I don't want to be buried.'
Gallardo then addressed the person involved again and is 'begging for my life back.'
'That person who has control over me right now, you know what I've been through.
You know the shit that I had to crawl my ass out of,' he said.
Gallardo added, 'So let's make a deal. Let's end things peacefully. Give me a chance to live again.'
'But if you give me no choice and just tell me to end my life while you laugh about it or celebrate over it, you tell me I deserve it, then you leave me no choice. Who gives a shit, right? The world keeps spinning,' he added.
Gallardo said, 'I want to live. I want freedom. If you still have any humanity and sympathy left in you, let me go.'
'Maybe I can only blame myself for being in this situation, for trusting you, so only I can end it. Let me go. I'm tired, fucking tired.'
Gallardo went viral early this month for his cryptic Instagram Stories, saying that it was 'Time to end.'
Following the YouTube video, Gallardo's agency Oxin Films released a statement on Facebook, saying the video reached the agency.
'Mr. Gallardo has reached out to us for assistance, and we are actively working to coordinate with him regarding these very serious concerns, which are significantly impacting his mental health and overall well-being,' Oxin Films said.
'We want to assure everyone that we are taking this matter with the utmost seriousness and will be coordinating closely with the appropriate authorities to address these allegations. We appreciate your understanding and concern during this sensitive time,' the statement added.
Gallardo is known for acting in the Boys' Love (BL) series 'My Day' and 'Ben X Jim.' He also appeared in an episode of 'Family Feud' in 2022. Gallardo's YouTube video is here.

PH accuses China ships of aggressive maneuvers in Scarborough Shoal
The Philippines accused Chinese Coast Guard ships on Friday of carrying out aggressive maneuvers and targeting its fisheries vessels with water cannons while they were delivering supplies to Filipino fishermen at the disputed Scarborough Shoal on Friday. One of the four Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) vessels involved in the mission was briefly struck by a water cannon, while another evaded being hit, the Philippine Coast Guard said in a statement. ''At approximately 10 a.m., BRP Datu Taradapit faced aggressive maneuvers from the Chinese Coast Guard vessel CCG-4203, which approached within 600 yards and fired a water cannon from 15.6 nautical miles southwest of Panatag (Scarborough) Shoal,'' the PCG said. ''Despite these aggressive actions, including blocking maneuvers and a water cannon attack that briefly struck the port quarter of BRP Datu Taradapit, the vessel adeptly maneuvered away to avoid significant damage. At 10:30 a.m., CCG-3105 targeted BRP Datu Tamblot with a water cannon from a distance of 18.1 nautical miles southeast of the shoal, but the attack missed its mark,'' it added. The PCG said it monitored six China Coast Guard vessels, two PLA Navy warships, and multiple Chinese maritime militia vessels during the operation. It also said the BFAR was able to distribute fuel subsidies to over 20 local fishing boats. ''Despite the unprofessional and illegal actions of the Chinese Coast Guard, which endangered Filipino crew members and fishermen, BFAR vessels remained resolute in their mission to protect local fishing boats,'' the PCG said. Scarborough Shoal, which is also referred to as Bajo de Masinloc or Panatag Shoal, is a triangular coral reef formation that surrounds a lagoon and is famed for its rich marine resources. The shoal is located 124 nautical miles off Masinloc, Zambales, and is considered within the Philippines' 200-nautical mile exclusive economic zone, based on the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). In 2016, the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague ruled in favor of the Philippines over China's claims in the South China Sea, saying that it had "no legal basis." China refused to recognize the ruling. — with a report from Reuters/VBL, GMA Integrated News

The cast and crew of the new 'Superman' film have expressed their profound joy and gratitude following their visit to the Philippines, which was the first stop of their world tour. In Nelson Canlas' report in '24 Oras' Friday, David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan talked about the love they felt from the Filipino fans. 'To show up and have people dressed as Superman and dressed as Hawkgirl and Mr. Terrific, and there were definitely some Lois Lanes out there, it's really just we get to come and celebrate this amazing legacy of these characters in this world and get excited for the new chapter that we're bringing,' David said. 'You know, we're the new kids on the block, and to feel that warmth and that kind of support as we're kicking off this tour was really, really special. (Screenshot from RTVM) President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. and First Lady Louise ''Liza'' Araneta-Marcos on Friday visited the Philippine Pavilion at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. The First Couple was given a guided walk-through inside the Philippine Pavilion, which features the largest collaboration of Filipino weavers, with more than 200 handwoven panels created by master artisans from across the country. Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco and Deputy Speaker and Cebu Representative Duke Frasco joined the First Couple during the walk-through. The woven panels formed part of a dynamic façade that opens throughout the day to showcase live performances, the Presidential Communications Office said. Meanwhile, Marcos also visited the circular structure of the Japan Pavilion that carries the theme ''Between Lives.'' Embodying the cycle of life, this features a biogas power generation using food waste from the Expo site and other cutting-edge Japanese carbon recycling technologies in order to create a cyclical loop.
