Magnatech simplifies unused credit management for TMCs

Magnatech enhances OnTrackplus with full NDC ticket status automation across Amadeus, Travelport+, and Sabre, streamlining airline credit tracking for TMCs.
Magnatech Travel Management Solutions has announced a significant enhancement to its capabilities, reinforcing its commitment to simplifying airline credit tracking for Travel Management Companies (TMCs). This latest advancement enables seamless automation of processing NDC ticket PNRs booked in the GDS across all three major Global Distribution
Systems (GDSs) – Amadeus, Travelport+ (Galileo), and now Sabre.
Magnatech has successfully been reading NDC PNRs from all three major GDSs since March 2023. This capability has ensured that GDS NDC bookings have been integrated into all of Magnatech's offerings over the past two years: OnQueue interactive itineraries and invoices, SafeToGo traveller tracking and automated risk messaging, MTWorkflows automated workflows, and OnTrackplus tickets-on-hold tracking and reporting.
The recent update focuses on the OnTrackplus platform. Through dedicated innovation and strong partnerships, Magnatech has further streamlined the flight credit tracking process. OnTrackplus requires not only reading the PNR but also determining the ticket status.
Previously, automation of flown status identification was limited to Amadeus and Travelport+. The inclusion of Sabre NDC ticket status automation now achieves full ticket status tracking parity across all three major GDSs. This advancement ensures that TMCs can track and manage ticket statuses with unparalleled simplicity, regardless of the GDS booking channel. This is particularly valuable for agencies with multiple GDSs seeking workflow consistency.
'The ability to identify and collect NDC tickets booked in the GDS, combined with automated ticket status tracking across Amadeus, Travelport+, and Sabre, empowers TMCs to deliver greater efficiency and accuracy in credit management, making sure no money is left on the table,' said Paul Gioia, CEO of Magnatech. 'As airlines globally continue to ramp up NDC bookings and GDSs expand NDC ticketing, our solutions ensure TMCs can meet these demands seamlessly.'
These enhancements have been made possible through strong and collaborative relationships with Amadeus, Travelport, and Sabre. Magnatech acknowledges the dedication and partnership of these GDSs in achieving this milestone. Their support underscores a shared goal of driving innovation and simplifying operations for TMCs worldwide.
Magnatech remains committed to delivering solutions that add measurable value to its clients and support the evolving needs of the travel industry. As the landscape of NDC bookings continues to grow, Magnatech is leading the way with solutions that simplify and streamline complex processes for TMC partners.

Navitaire unveils Navigate mobile application

Navitaire launches Navigate, a mobile airport app enabling airline agents to assist passengers anywhere, reducing queues and improving operational efficiency. MINNEAPOLIS, MN USA – Navitaire, an Amadeus company, has unveiled Navigate – a cutting-edge airport agent app that harnesses the power of mobile technology, giving flexibility for Navitaire airlines' agents to work virtually anywhere within the airport. This innovative technology allows airline agents that typically provide services at check-in counters or departure gates to use a mobile device connected to a mobile network to help travelers. As the agent can move freely through the airport, this can speed up the boarding process at the gate or reduce lines at check-in counters. Navigate enhances the traveler's experience by increasing convenience, minimizing queues and offering personalized services. It empowers agents to assist travelers wherever they are, leading to shorter wait times and a smoother journey. In addition, the new mobile app decreases operational costs and boosts efficiency by requiring minimal infrastructure and reducing energy consumption. It provides instant scalability of resources as needed, adapting to passenger flows through the airport. Navigate's intuitive interface requires little training for airport agents, ensuring quick adaptability. It is compatible with both Android and iOS devices, adapting seamlessly to various screen sizes, whether on a mobile phone or tablet. Four airlines participated in the testing phase of Navigate, offering valuable hands-on experience, feedback and suggestions for improvement. TUI Group, the largest leisure, travel and tourism company in the world, was one of the early testers of Navigate. Amanda Grafton, Technical Team Lead – Ground Operations Airline Technology of TUI Group said, 'Navigate gives our agents the freedom to check in passengers while on the move, which reduces wait times and improves efficiency at key passenger touchpoints, leading to a better overall airport experience.' David P. Evans, CEO of Navitaire added; 'Navitaire has always endeavored to deliver innovative solutions that address the unique challenges faced by our airline partners. Navigate embodies the evolution of that concept. It empowers agents to meet passengers where they are – amidst queues and various airport locations – improving the airport experience through modern technology.'
