Potential location of Trump's presidential library revealed in new report
President Donald Trump is considering the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) campus in Boca Raton as the site for his forthcoming presidential library, according to a new report.
The president and his advisers have chosen the site due to its proximity to his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, and negotiations between Trump's lawyers and the FAU over a 100-year lease at no cost are said to be currently ongoing, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Trump's team is meanwhile planning a campaign to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for the project's construction.
Eric Trump, his wife Lara Trump, and the president's son-in-law, Michael Boulos, married to Tiffany Trump, are reportedly leading the cash drive and have already established a non-profit to support the library.
Tens of millions of dollars in leftover inauguration funds, as well as more than $37 million recouped from lawsuits involving ABC News and Meta Platforms, will be allocated towards bankrolling the project, the Journal reports. Private donations from wealthy individuals and businesses are also likely to play a significant role.
The newspaper adds that Trump is hoping to install the controversial $400m luxury jet he was gifted by Qatar at the site as a tourist attraction once its years of service are over, taking inspiration from the housing of Ronald Reagan 's decommissioned Air Force One at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
'He redefined the presidency, so there is no question in my mind he will redefine the post-presidency, including what a modern presidential library looks like,' said historian Mark Updegrove, chief executive of the LBJ Foundation, looking ahead to Trump's library.
The president could have pressed ahead with the construction of a library honoring his legacy at the conclusion of his first term in 2021, but decided against it after concluding it would signal the end of his political ambitions.
At the time, Trump was dreaming of mounting the spectacular comeback that few believed possible in the aftermath of the Capitol riot, but which duly came to pass.
Now, he is turning his attention towards building a 'MAGA Mecca' to cement his legacy, which will host events and house memorabilia from his time in the White House, as well as official documents from his tenure pending negotiations with the National Archives and Records Administration.
The first American presidential library was opened by Franklin D Roosevelt in 1939, and there are currently 16, with Barack Obama 's in Chicago due to open to the public next year.

Hegseth claims US ‘obliterated' Iranian nuclear sites despite lack of assessment
The US defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, on Sunday repeated claims by Donald Trump that US strikes had completely destroyed Iran's nuclear facilities and its ability to acquire nuclear weapons even as the Pentagon acknowledged it was too early to provide a full damage assessment. At a news conference, Hegseth and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, Gen Dan Caine, said the strikes, codenamed Operation Midnight Hammer, devastated the Iranian nuclear program. The remarks from Hegseth in particular amounted to repeated praise for Trump and the operation that targeted the nuclear enrichment sites at Natanz and Fordow, the key facility buried deep underground, and a third site at Esfahan where Iran was seen to store enriched uranium. 'It was an incredible and overwhelming success. The order we received from our commander in chief was focused,' Hegseth said wearing a blue suit and US flag motif pocket square in the Pentagon briefing room, the first time he has appeared there since becoming the secretary. 'Thanks to President Trump's bold and visionary leadership and his commitment to peace through strength, Iran's nuclear ambitions have been obliterated,' Hegseth said. 'The operation President Trump planned was bold and it was brilliant.' According to Caine, who was seen in pictures released by the White House to have been in the Situation Room as the operation unfolded, the bombing raid involved a two-part strike package of B-2 bombers and fourth- and fifth-generation fighter jets launching from the US. The operation started around midnight on Friday, when the main contingent of bombers departed from the Whiteman air force base in Missouri and flew towards Iran, while another contingent flew in the opposite direction over the Pacific Ocean as a decoy effort. The main contingent involved seven B-2 bombers flying for 18 nonstop hours into Iranian airspace, refueling multiple times in the air, while unidentified fighter jets swept ahead of the group for possible Iranian fighter jets and surface-to-air missile threats over the nuclear sites. Caine said the Pentagon was not aware of any shots fired at the bombers as they flew into Iran and dropped the first of 14 so-called 'bunker buster' bombs, technically known as GBU-57s on the Fordow enrichment facility under the cover of darkness around 2.10am local time. After the bombers dropped the GBU-57s on Fordow and Natanz, Caine said, a navy submarine fired a series of Tomahawk missiles at the Esfahan site, as the aircraft turned around to fly back to the US. 'We are unaware of any shots fired at the Package on the way out. Iran's fighters did not fly, and it appears that Iran's surface-to-air missile systems did not see us throughout the mission. We retained the element of surprise,' Caine added. The actual extent of the damage in particular to Fordow, the site Trump has been most focused on destroying because of its hard-to-reach nature, was not immediately clear. Neither Hegseth nor Caine provided details beyond their initial assessment that it had been 'obliterated'. Following Trump's remarks in a televised address from the White House on Saturday night that the US could launch more attacks on Iran unless they started peace talks, Hegseth said the administration was in contact with the country's leadership through public and private channels. 'They understand precisely what the American position is, precisely what steps they can take to allow for peace – and we hope they do so,' Hegseth told reporters. 'I think Tehran is certainly calculating the reality that planes flew from the middle of America and Missouri overnight, completely undetected over three of their most highly sensitive sites,' Hegseth added. 'We believe that will have a clear psychological impact on how they view the future.' Hegseth also said at the news conference that congressional leaders were notified about the strikes after the bombers left Iranian airspace – a decision that is sure to draw criticism from Democrats that Trump engaged in a conflict without the authorization of Congress.

'The perception of 30 has changed because cosmetic procedures have become normalized, especially on social media,' Dr. Ann Monis, a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist at Medical Anti-Aging told the Daily Mail about the phenomenon. '[Influencers and public figures are sharing] their injectables, skin treatments and surgical tweaks,' Dr. Monis explained. 'That constant visibility shifts what we think is typical for 30.' Dr. Monis added that the shift isn't just cultural, but psychological as well. 'This is happening because repetition changes how the brain sets expectations,' the medical professional explained. 'When someone sees the same kind of edited or altered face over and over, the brain will then start treating that image as the baseline. It becomes the new 'normal' even though it is not natural or accurate.' She said in the past, people tried to dial back the clock all at once, whereas now, due to a combination of accessibility and new procedures, the change is happening slowly and from an earlier age. 'What used to be considered early signs of aging is now something people feel they need to erase before it fully appears,' Dr. Monis pointed out. Dr. Joshua Korman, a board-certified plastic surgeon and founder of Korman Plastic Surgery, based in Northern California, agreed, noting that '30 years ago, 50 really was kind of middle age.' 'I think a lot of times middle age may be 70 now,' Dr. Korman, who has worked as a plastic surgeon for 30 years, continued. Dr. Korman claimed the ideal face of a 30-year-old is: 'No pimples and no wrinkles.' '[People are] turning to technologies and medications to make the skin more rejuvenated, even at a young age, like in the 20s and as people approach 30,' he said. Dr. Korman shared that we age in four ways, which can be remedied through various treatments. 'We age with gravity, volume loss, skin texture and dynamic wrinkles, the wrinkles when we smile,' he explained. 'So there's treatments for each one of those things, and surgical stuff really deals with the gravity.' Dr. Monis noted the normalized surgical approach to halting age has resulted in an unrealistic standard being set and normalized - something she personally has noted. 'Patients will bring in filtered photos, not to say they want to look enhanced, but because they believe that's how people their age actually look,' she revealed. Dr. Monis warned this can lead to people constantly aiming for a version of 30 that 'is not even grounded in reality.' 'The constant exposure to curated faces has trained people to see youth as a polished look, not a stage of life,' she said.
