Tyrese Haliburton silences Knicks crowd with historic triple-double as Chuck D fumes online
Tyrese Haliburton delivered a historic performance, recording a triple-double with 32 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds, leading the Indiana Pacers to a 130-121 victory over the New York Knicks in Game 4. Chuck D criticized Haliburton's play and the officiating amidst the Pacers' dominant performance. Indiana now leads the series 3-1, one win away from the NBA Finals.
Tyrese Haliburton put on a playoff masterclass at Madison Square Garden, delivering a record-setting triple-double to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 130-121 win over the New York Knicks in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
His electric 32-point, 15-assist, 12-rebound outing with zero turnovers sent the Knicks spiraling to a 3-1 series deficit and earned Haliburton praise across the league… and a bit of heat from hip-hop royalty.
Chuck D calls out Haliburton and referees as Pacers inch closer to Finals
As Haliburton carved up the Knicks' defense, one iconic New York voice had seen enough. Legendary Public Enemy rapper Chuck D took to social media mid-game, calling out Haliburton's ball-handling style and throwing subtle jabs at the officiating.
In a now-viral tweet, Chuck D nicknamed the Pacers guard 'Halle Berry' and claimed, 'Referees are wearing Pacers uniforms tonight.' He also criticized the broadcast crew, saying, 'Stan Van Gundy makes my ears hurt.'

While the tweets sparked debate, Haliburton's composure on the court stood in stark contrast. The fifth-year guard became the first player in NBA playoff history to record 30+ points, 15+ assists, 10+ rebounds, and zero turnovers in a single game.

Not even LeBron James or Magic Johnson have hit those numbers.
Haliburton's dominant Game 4 performance wasn't just about stats, it was about timing. He started hot, scoring in bursts and orchestrating the offense with surgical precision. His floor general play helped Indiana maintain control despite late pushes from the Knicks.
He also joined an exclusive playoff company by becoming the only player with those stats. Just the second player after LeBron James with 15+ points, 5+ rebounds, and 5+ assists in a single playoff quarter, and one of two players (with Russell Westbrook) to post 20+ points, 10+ assists, and 5+ rebounds in a playoff half since 1998
Pascal Siakam and Bennedict Mathurin also delivered.
Siakam scored 30 points, while Mathurin added 20 off the bench. The Pacers' bench outscored the Knicks 36–21, adding to their edge.
With the Pacers now one win away from their first NBA Finals appearance in 25 years, the pressure is on New York. And while MSG crowds are famously loud, Haliburton may have just become their most feared playoff visitor since Reggie Miller.
Game 5 returns to New York. Expect boos, bold plays and maybe another tweetstorm from Chuck D

Who votes for NBA Finals MVP? Rules, panel, and selection process
Jun 21, 2025 04:41 PM IST The NBA 2025 season is almost drawing to an end with the final showdown scheduled to take place between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, June 22, at Oklahoma City's Paycom Center. With this comes the all-pertinent question of which player is destined to secure the NBA Finals MVP title this season. Being distributed ever since 1969, the title has been awarded to some of the most legendary players in basketball history in the past and carries immense weight in value. As the NBA 2025 season nears its end, the Finals MVP title will be awarded after the championship game. The identities of these panelists are kept confidential until after the results have been declared. Up until the 1970-80 season, this task was left up to NBA players. This panel is then responsible for voting for their top 5 candidates from the series. According to the latest set of rules, a player must have played in at least 65 games per season to be eligible. These players are then accorded positions by each panelist. Factors like individual statistics, team success, and overall impact on the league are usually considered while filling out the ballot. These are the points given to each position ranking: 1st place- 10 points 2nd place- 7 points 3rd place- 5 points 4th place- 3 points 5th place- 1 point The player who manages to secure the highest number of points from a tally of all panelists is then awarded the title. According to recent reports, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Doncic, and Nikola Jokic are in the race to clinch the coveted title this season. (By Stuti Gupta)

NBA Finals prize money: How much Pacers and Thunder will earn
By HT News Desk | Posted by Tuhin Das Mahapatra Jun 21, 2025 04:04 PM IST Winning an NBA Finals is more than simply glory and honor; it's about the millions of dollars worth of paychecks credited to each player as well. The Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder have displayed an interesting run-up to the final game of the series on Sunday. Both teams now have a shot at securing the prize money they will be entitled to if they were to win come this weekend. But how much is this payment exactly? Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin (00) reaches for the ball against the Oklahoma City Thunder during game six of the 2025 NBA Finals at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Mandatory Credit: Maddie Meyer-Pool Photo via Imagn Images(IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect) According to The Mirror, $34.7 million is divided among players from all NBA playoff teams over the postseason. This is a significant $1 million increase from the amount received by each player last year. The additional money received depends on the position a team is able to secure in the championship. The NBA Finals award $8,805,000 to winners and $3,803,000 to runner-ups. ALSO READ| What was that? 'Friday the 13th' flashes on screen during Thunder vs Pacers NBA Finals Game 4 If the Pacers win Having finished fourth in the Eastern Conference with a 50-32 record, the Pacers have already secured $372,000 to their credit as a result of their performance. This amount has further increased to $1.99 million as a reward for reaching the Finals and getting through the Eastern Conference playoffs. Were they to win the title, their total earnings from the championship would rake in $10.8 million. This amount could drop to $5.79 million instead if the Thunder were to close out. However, if they were to win Game 7 as well, the team would have $7.42 million to split between its players on account of winning two games in a row. If the Thunder win Reports suggest that the Thunder's winnings could be slightly higher than that of the Pacers if they were to secure the championship title instead. Due to their impressive regular-season standings in the playoffs, the team has already received a bonus of $869,345 for scoring the best among 30 teams. They further added $761,000 to this record thanks to their record in the Western Conference and another $1.99 million for reaching the finals. Were they to win, the Thunder would be taking home the maximum amount of $12.42 million which equates to $828,000 per player. ALSO READ| Who is Scott Foster?
