Belgravia Hartford Announces Additional Bitcoin Purchases and Growing Bitcoin Treasury

Business Wire7 hours ago

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BELGRAVIA HARTFORD CAPITAL INC. (CSE:BLGV)(OTC:BLGVF)(FRA:ECA) (' Company ' or ' Belgravia ') is pleased to announce it has completed two further Bitcoin (' BTC ') purchases enhancing the value and credibility of Belgravia's Bitcoin treasury strategy.
Belgravia increases Bitcoin treasury position.
Belgravia Treasury Bitcoin Purchase
Belgravia today announces that it has used cash-on-hand, derived from the exercise of previously issued convertible securities by shareholders to purchase an additional 1.5316351 BTC for a total purchase price of USD $160,842.59 at an average price of USD $105,013.65 per BTC inclusive of all costs and fees.
This results in Belgravia's total BTC treasury now totaling 6.39316479 BTC at an average cost of USD $103,367.05 per BTC.
The purchases were again made via Coinsquare's regulated OTC trading desk with Company funds and not funded through the previously announced USD $5 million credit facility (the Facility) provided by Round13 Digital Asset Fund L.P. (Round13 DAF) for the Belgravia BTC treasury acquisitions as previously announced on May 28, 2025. The Company intends to continue using the Facility when determined in the best interests of the Company and its shareholders.
Mehdi Azodi, CEO of Belgravia stated: 'We remain fully engaged with Round 13 DAF our strategic advisors, we will collaborate closely to determine the best times to drawdown on the Facility as well as when to use Belgravia's own capital – including future financing options and opportunities as we pursue our 100% BTC treasury strategy.' Mr. Azodi continued, 'As a micro-cap, we have determined regularly adding BTC to the balance sheet is our best use and store of funds, and that such activity is currently imperative for accretive growth in shareholder value. We will continue to drawdown on the Facility where needed, but these recent purchases were with Company funds. We intend to continue using Company funds for BTC purchases by way of ongoing cash injections from the exercise of existing and already issued convertible securities.'
Bitcoin Advisory Team
Belgravia is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Joey Cacciatore as Director of Bitcoin Strategy. Mr. Cacciatore brings deep conviction and a long-term vision to Belgravia's Bitcoin treasury mandate, further strengthening the leadership in digital asset strategy. Mr. Cacciatore's family owns and operates Lakeside Bank, a respected financial institution based in Chicago, bringing additional financial insight and credibility to Belgravia and the Bitcoin-focused capital strategy.
Mehdi Azodi further commented: 'Mr. Cacciatore's credibility and extensive network across the financial and media sectors represent a valuable asset to Belgravia, I am delighted to welcome Mr. Cacciatore to Belgravia's Bitcoin advisory team.'

Crypto stocks soar after Senate passes stablecoin bill, Circle up over 50%

Shares of the first publicly-traded stablecoin company Circle continued to surge on Friday after the Senate passed legislation that would establish a regulatory framework for stablecoins, a type of cryptocurrency designed to maintain a value in line with the U.S. dollar, earlier this week. Shares of Circle are up 53%, soaring from $148 to $227, since the market opened on Wednesday after the legislation passed in the Senate on Tuesday night. Shares of other crypto-related companies increased on the news with Coinbase, the leading crypto exchange in the U.S., gaining 20% since Wednesday. The legislation, known as the GENIUS act, is a first-of-its-kind bill that would establish regulations and consumer protections for stablecoin companies, including full reserve backing, monthly audits, and anti-money laundering compliance. After passing in the Senate, it will be sent to the House of Representatives for a vote and potential revisions. Circle issues USDC, the second-largest stablecoin by market cap behind Tether's USDT. Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire expressed his support for the bill in a post on X after the Senate vote on Tuesday night. 'History is being made, as the US Senate passes the GENIUS Act, taking us one step closer to breakthrough legislation being signed into law that will drive U.S. economic and national competitiveness for decades to come,' he wrote. The surge in Circle's stock price comes weeks after the company's debut on the stock market under the ticker CRCL. After pricing its shares at $31, CRCL opened on the New York Stock Exchange at $69. Within its first day on the market, the company's shares soared to a high of $103.75 before closing at $82.23, showcasing strong retail demand for access to the stablecoin industry. Since 2021, stablecoins have become increasingly popular outside of the U.S. as a means to settle cross-border transfers and protect assets against inflation. Crypto firms, however, have long complained that the U.S. stablecoin industry has been hindered by a lack of clear regulations, especially under Biden-era Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) chair Gary Gensler who initiated dozens of investigations and enforcement actions against crypto companies. The Senate's passage of the GENIUS act was aided by President Donald Trump's vocal support of the broader crypto industry. In addition to pushing for Congress to pass the stablecoin bill, Trump has established a national Bitcoin reserve, pardoned crypto criminal Ross Ulbricht and appointed SEC officials that have ended a number of lawsuits against crypto companies. With support from the U.S. president and increasing regulatory clarity, mainstream corporations are considering implementing them into their payment structures, including Meta, Google, AirBnB and X. What the GENIUS Act Means for Stablecoins and Advisors

Who wouldn't like a little more stability in their life? In the chaotic world of crypto, at least, some may be on the way. The Senate approved a regulatory framework for stablecoins, dubbed the GENIUS Act, this week. The bill, which has yet to be passed by the House of Representatives, would require tokens to be backed by liquid assets including the US dollar and short-term Treasurys, and issuers would have to publicly disclose composition of their reserves each month. Despite crypto's roughly $3.4 trillion global market cap and even President Trump championing digital assets, they still remain divisive for advisors. While some are comfortable allocating up to 10% of a client's portfolio to crypto products, others wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot pole. However, if the stablecoin bill becomes law, it could bring a greater sense of legitimacy and clarity to the asset class. 'This stablecoin framework, if it sticks, is the first adult move we've seen from Washington in a long time,' said Christopher Haigh, CEO of Iconoclast Capital, adding that his firm is very crypto-forward. 'We're finally talking about guardrails instead of hand-wringing.' READ ALSO: Why UBS Is the Only Wirehouse to Allow Podcasting and How Advisors Can Avoid Becoming Over-Reliant on AI Because stablecoins outlined in the framework would be backed by the dollar or Treasurys, some advisors might be questioning the point: Why not just hold cash or government bonds? However, stablecoins should be viewed less as investments that bring returns and more as a means of doing business, said Campbell Harvey, Duke University professor and Research Affiliates partner. 'Within 12 seconds, you can transfer money anywhere in the world,' he told Advisor Upside. 'There is a role to diversify portfolios, and stablecoins enable that and serve to reduce transaction costs.' He added that advisors place themselves at a disadvantage by ignoring the sheer size of the cryptomarket, including the stablecoin sector. The biggest stablecoins include: Tether, with more than $155 billion in market value; USDC, with more $61 billion; and USDS, with more than $7 billion. Stablecoins' cheap trading costs and automatic accounting on blockchain ledgers make them incredibly attractive to companies and banks, Harvey added. 'Expect to see an explosion in the number of stablecoins,' he said. 'I can't imagine a large bank not initiating a stablecoin.' Natural Selection. It might be easy to think of crypto as only Bitcoin and 1,000 other altcoins with goofy names that operate more like Texas Hold'em than actual stores of value. But in an increasingly digital world, stablecoins are just the next step in managing portfolios, said David LaValle, global head of ETFs at Grayscale. 'There's this common, quick gut reaction that I sometimes get from people that say: 'Oh my gosh, these stablecoins are a real risk to the government, to e-bills or to money market funds in the US,'' he said at the Wealth Management EDGE conference in Boca Raton, Florida, last week. 'It's going to be a really efficient place to park your money, and it's just a natural way to go.' This post first appeared on The Daily Upside. 'November 2021 All Over Again' For Bitcoin? Veteran Trader Sparks Debate With Haunting Chart

Benzinga and Yahoo Finance LLC may earn commission or revenue on some items through the links below. Bitcoin may be set to replicate a tumultuous time in its history, according to veteran commodities trader Peter Brandt. 'November 2021 all over again?' Brandt said last weekend on X, sharing Bitcoin's weekly-candle chart. Much like today, in November 2021 Bitcoin had just surged to new all-time highs. For many cryptocurrency market participants, it felt like the asset was unstoppable. Just as many are predicting a $1 million price for Bitcoin today, many at the time were betting on the asset continuing its run to $100,000. Don't Miss: — no wallets, just price speculation and free paper trading to practice different strategies. Grow your IRA or 401(k) with Crypto – . But what followed was far from what many anticipated. Instead of a straight run to $100,000, Bitcoin kicked off a massive correction culminating in a nearly 80% drop from its 2021 high of $69,000 to trade at about $15,600 almost a year later. Brandt's weekly-candle chart highlights that Bitcoin could be forming the same bearish double-top chart pattern it did in 2021. A repeat of the same price action could see the asset tank as low as the $25,000 price point from its high of $112,000. Could this time be different? Responding to Brandt, Grayscale Head of Research Zach Pandl said unlike 2021, the Federal Reserve 'is more likely to start cutting rates than raising rates.' This remark comes as many view rapid interest rate hikes from the Fed starting in Q1 2022 as one of the major catalysts for the ensuing cryptocurrency bear market. The central bank had embarked on this course of action to fight inflation. Unlike in 2021, inflation presently appears to be steadily inching closer to the Fed's 2% target, making interest rate cuts more likely. It also helps that lower interest rates align with President Donald Trump's policy agenda. Trending: New to crypto? on Coinbase. Pandl is not alone in thinking this time could be different for Bitcoin. Crypto analyst 'AetherX Capital' said the asset's fundamentals are significantly better. 'Bitcoin's fundamentals have never been better,' they said. 'From a technical perspective, there's no reason to worry yet.' Fellow prominent crypto trader 'IncomeSharks' was even more optimistic. They said it would likely be 2021 all over again for Bitcoin. While the tail end of 2021 proved to be underwhelming, the asset had surged as much as 138% within the year. In the near term, Bitcoin is ranging between its all-time high at $112,000 and $100,000 amid macroeconomic uncertainty and escalating tensions in the Middle East. In a Monday note, MEXC Chief Operating Officer Tracy Jin said that all eyes are on the Strait of Hormuz. 'About 20% of the world's oil (20 million barrels) goes through this narrow stretch of land, and any kind of conflict could lead to a sharp rise in energy prices,' Jin said. 'Experts are saying that the price of Brent could go above $115, which might add 70-90 basis points to inflation by the end of the year. That sort of supply shock would probably lead to a risk-off move, which would put pressure on both crypto and equities.' Read Next: A must-have for all crypto enthusiasts: .
