
#SHOWBIZ: Karnival Jom Heboh 2025 at KL Base is a celebration of Ejen Ali
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's longest-running outdoor event, Karnival Jom Heboh (KJH), is back for its 2025 edition, perfectly timed for the start of the school holidays.
Malaysians are invited to create cherished memories with their loved ones at KJH, which will kick off at its new venue, KL Base, from May 30 to June 1.
Following a record attendance of over 2.1 million visitors across seven locations last year, KJH returns on an even larger scale, promising fresher content and a more immersive experience.
With over 150 brands participating, KJH remains the ultimate family-friendly destination for weekend entertainment, featuring interactive activities, meet-and-greet sessions, food festivals, and concerts.
A flag-off supercar ceremony was held at Balai Berita yesterday, showcasing an impressive line-up of luxury and high-performance vehicles, alongside the beloved mascots of popular animated teen spies, Ejen Ali and Ejen Alicia.
All these exciting vehicles will be displayed at the carnival, offering visitors a unique opportunity to see their dream cars up close.
KJH will extensively promote Ejen Ali to mark the recent release of his second cinematic adventure, Ejen Ali The Movie 2.
In addition to the Ejen Ali and Ejen Alicia mascots, the movie's voice cast will be at the carnival for meet-and-greet sessions.
Visitors can also participate in various Ejen Ali-themed activities, including a Zumba session with the mascots.
Young fans can explore the Ejen Ali M.A.T.A. Academy section, which offers special board games for youngsters and a colouring competition for fans under 7 and under 12.
The cosplay competition at the Tonton Drama Sangat Studio will challenge participants' creativity in bringing their favourite characters to life through costume acting, with exciting prizes awaiting the winners.
Guests will also have the chance to meet Media Prima personalities and the cast of popular dramas such as Bukan Ipar Sempurna, Nikmat Hanya Sesaat, Polis Peronda, and Aku Bukan Ustazah 2.
These include Shaza Bae, Fazlina Ahmad Daud, Kodi Rasheed, Shah Iskandar, Cahaya Nilam, Fahrin Ahmad, Fedtri Yahya, Naz Rahman, Dayah Bakar, and Fakhrul Radhi.
Guests will also be treated to two nights of concerts, hosted by Ayu from HotFM and Haiza and Muaz Mohamed from Kool 101.
The first night will feature performances by Shiha Zikir, Bunga Isme, Puteri Khareeza, Ameerais, Aisha Retno, Khai Bahar, and A.X.P. The second night will be heated up with performances from Sofia Liana, Marygrace, K.O.I., Ayu Damit, Ara Johari, and Ella.
Interactive booths, including Studio Tonton Drama Sangat, Studio Jom Heboh, NSTP Group, REV Group, and Love Food Fest, will showcase several attractions.
Don't miss the NSTP Car Sim Experience, where visitors can test their driving skills.
The Jam Lokal section offers the public a chance to showcase their hidden talents, while the E-Sport Championship section provides an opportunity for e-sports fans to participate in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang knockout matches.
Throughout the carnival, free motorcycle servicing will be available, limited to 100 motorcycles per day, in cooperation with the Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre.
Professionals from the dental health sector will conduct free dental check-ups.
For the little ones, Soopa Doopa, a children's play zone with safe inflatable structures, promises unlimited fun.

Ejen Ali 2 continues its amazing run as producers now hoping for mission accomplished with an impressive RM65mil haul
Hit animated movie "Ejen Ali The Movie 2" (EATM2) is still doing well with local cinemagoers and producers are now hoping to reach the mission possible of seeing a total haul of RM65 million, itself that will be an amazing benchmark for animated movies. Producers of the movie, Primeworks Studios, have called the Malaysian fans of the movies, whom they have nicknames 'Agents', to continue supporting the movie, which has already hit the magic number of RM55.1 million this week, the highest ever collection for an animated movie in Malaysia. "Agents, time is running out. We are in a mission now. We are hoping for a never before seen collection for an animated movie and we hope our agents will see us through in reaching the target," said Pinework Studios in a statement. The media release also pointed out that the biggest number of fans for the movie are from Selangor, Federal Territories (KL and Putrajaya), Johor, Perak and Kedah . "We are counting on our Agents the deliver and ensure further success of this movie. We thank the fans for the immense support and we have they continue supporting us. "Let's create another big success for local animated films. The producers also promise to up the tempo and raise the bar in our future ventures. Again, we thank all agents (fans) for their fantastic support," said Pinework Studios. Even more impressive, EATM2 has now surpassed the grossing of blockbuster films from Hollywood and Asia over the past two months. Malaysia's top music artiste Hael Husaini's first ever solo concert at Zepp KL only on Aug 8. But tickets has been selling like hot cakes and are expected to be sold out by the end of the month. And currently Malaysia's class act with top hits, Hael, is just so humbled and thankful for the support that he has received from his many fans. According to Hael, this concert is his promise to the fans who have been his backbone since his early appearance in the entertainment world. And he is just so glad that the fans snapped up the 90% of the tickets after going on sale in less than two weeks. "This is an amazing feeling. It is just feels great to be loved by many. I'm so thankful. I thank all my fans. This show is a tribute to them. It will be night to remember and me and my friends will give them an unforgettable night of music," said Hael in an interview with The Star. According to the singer, also known for his extraordinary vocals, creativity beyond the norm and classy style, the "Hael Husaini & Repertoire Concert" promises a night that is not just a concert — but an artistic, fashion and emotional experience that is sure to become a part of the history of Malaysian music. Whether you know him as Sofyank96 or by his real name, Sofian, the local visual effects (VFX) artist has certainly come a long way since his early days of content creation. With an impressive résumé that includes producing spectacular promotional videos for films and collaborations with Hollywood stars such as Paul Rudd and Tom Cruise, there's little doubt that the 28-year-old is well on his way to achieving his dream of making it big. It looks like he'll be adding another Hollywood collaboration to his portfolio. Earlier this week, the local content creator teased his followers that he was heading to the Philippines to work on a promotional video with a very 'super' actor, who is set to release his upcoming film later this year. 'I'll be flying to the Philippines to film a new collaboration with an actor from an upcoming superhero film! Any guesses who it is?' Sofian captioned a photo of himself at the airport on Instagram. With several titles announced this year, many speculated it could be either Marvel's 'Fantastic Four' or DC's 'Superman'. However, the answer was officially revealed yesterday (Thursday, 19th June). The Malaysian VFX artist posted a Reel on his Instagram, showing him walking down a street in formal attire while reading a newspaper. Suddenly, beams of light, possibly missiles, appeared in the sky, with one striking a section of the building directly above him and several civilians. Sofian sprang into action, shielding the bystanders from the falling debris with his body before flying off, as the camera panned to reveal the iconic 'S' symbol in the sky. If that wasn't obvious enough, the influencer confirmed the exciting news in his caption, writing: 'I had the opportunity to join the 'Superman' movie junket in the Philippines. Soon, I'll be filming content with Superman himself, David Corenswet. Pray that everything goes smoothly.' As expected, Malaysians expressed their excitement over Sofian's achievement, praising him for representing the country on an international stage. Some even joked that the content creator collaborating with Hollywood stars is akin to Thanos collecting the Infinity Stones in 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Avengers: Endgame.' Others quipped that it was Superman who was lucky to be meeting Sofian, joking that the iconic 'S' symbol actually stands for the first letter of the Malaysian star's name.
