The Department of Technical Education, Andhra Pradesh, will today start the online counselling process for admission to polytechnic courses in engineering and non-engineering institutes of the state. All candidates, regardless of rank, can pay the AP POLYCET 2025 processing fee online between June 20 and June 27. The fee is Rs 700 for OC and BC candidates and it is Rs 250 for SC and ST candidates. Complete information regarding eligibility, counselling, documents required and the official brochure is available on the AP POLYCET website – Candidates who have qualified in the AP POLYCET exam held on April 30 can register for the online web-based counselling and offline document verification process. The department has set different dates for the document verification process as per ranks of the candidates. The Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP POLYCET), held by the Department of Technical Education, Andhra Pradesh, is an entrance exam for admission into diploma programmes in engineering, non-engineering, and technology. These programmes are offered by both government-aided and private polytechnic institutions, including those operating as second-shift colleges within private engineering institutions across the state. The exam is conducted in offline mode. AP POLYCET Counselling process consists of document verification, choice filling, seat allotment and reporting to the institute. DTE will allot the seats to the AP POLYCET qualified candidates on the basis of ranks obtained by them, choices filled and availability of seats. The decentralised certificate verification for SC/ST/BC/OC candidates for AP POLYCET 2025 will take place from June 21 to 28. Th reporting time at the Help Line Centres (HLC) is set at 9 am daily. While candidates with ranks 1 to 15,000 will have to report on June 21, candidates with ranks 15,001 to 32,000 are asked to report on June 22. Ranks 32,001 to 50,000 are called on June 23, candidates with ranks 50,001 to 68,000 will have to verify their certificates on June 24 and those ranking between 68,001 and 86,000 will have to report on June 25. Ranks 86,001 to 1,04,000 will have to go for certificate verification on June 26, those whose ranks fall from 1,04,001 to 1,20,000 are called on June 27 and candidates with ranks from 1,20,001 to the last rank must attend on June 28. On the last day of schedule, options last exercised by the candidate will be frozen and candidate should take a print out. The options recorded in the server on the last day will alone be considered for allotment of seats. The allotments will be placed on the website – on July 3 after 6 pm.
