2025 BMW M3 CS Touring Unveiled with Enhanced Power and Performance
The 2025 BMW M3 CS Touring has officially been introduced, boasting 543 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque from its twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine.
This high-performance wagon comes with a range of exclusive features, including redesigned wheels and a distinctive grille. Carbon fiber has been extensively used in key exterior components such as the hood, front splitter, air intakes, side mirror caps, and rear diffuser, enhancing both aesthetics and performance.
A Global Debut with Limited Availability
Following a series of teaser images, BMW has now revealed the 2025 BMW M3 CS Touring to the public. The official unveiling took place in Australia, just before the renowned Bathurst 12 Hours endurance race. While global deliveries are set to begin soon, this model will not be available in the United States, despite the country being the world's second-largest car market after China.
Performance and Mechanical Enhancements
Mirroring the upgrades seen in the M3 CS sedan launched in early 2023, the 2025 BMW M3 CS Touring has undergone significant performance refinements. The 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine now produces 543 hp, marking a 20 hp increase over the M3 Competition. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, power is delivered to all four wheels via BMW's xDrive system.
This performance machine accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 11.7 seconds. With the M Driver's Package, its top speed is 300 km/h (186 mph). Additional upgrades include electronically controlled dampers, a reinforced front strut brace for enhanced rigidity, and high-performance braking options, including carbon-ceramic discs. The exhaust system, featuring adjustable valves and a titanium rear silencer, ensures an aggressive sports car sound.
Exterior Enhancements and Weight Reduction
BMW has made weight reduction a priority, shaving off 15 kg from the car's overall mass. The carbon fiber components include the hood, front splitter, air intakes, side mirror caps, and rear diffuser, contributing to improved aerodynamics and performance. It also features lightweight M alloy wheels, measuring 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear.
The kidney grille has been redesigned while maintaining BMW's signature look, now featuring a more open structure with sharper detailing. A subtle yellow tint in the LED daytime running lights emphasizes its track-ready nature, while a newly designed rear wing enhances the car's dynamic presence.
Interior and Comfort Features
Inside, the 2025 BMW M3 CS Touring is equipped with electronically adjustable, heated M Carbon seats that include illuminated CS badging. The driver is met with an Alcantara-wrapped M steering wheel, adding to the race-inspired cabin ambiance.

Hydrogen Hits the Scene Hard, with BMW Leading the Way
As debates continue over the true environmental benefits of electric vehicles versus hybrid alternatives, BMW is turning its focus toward hydrogen fuel cells as a promising green solution. In an exclusive interview, Dr. Jürgen Goldner, Head of Hydrogen Technology at BMW, confirmed the company's readiness to deepen its investment in this technology, stating that 'the timing is right' for expansion. The iX5 Hydrogen, first revealed in 2024 and previously tested by Arab GT, served as the company's pilot project—proof that hydrogen fuel cell vehicles can deliver on both performance and practicality. According to Dr. Goldner, BMW is now preparing for full-scale production, with its first hydrogen-powered vehicle expected to reach the market sometime between 2028 and 2030. Also Read: BMW Manager Discusses the Groundbreaking iX5 FCEV A Strategic Alliance with Toyota A key part of BMW's hydrogen roadmap is its strengthened partnership with Toyota. Dr. Goldner highlighted that Toyota is contributing heavily to the development of the new-generation fuel cell system. By leveraging Toyota's deep expertise in hydrogen technology, BMW is positioning itself to meet the cost-efficiency targets necessary for mass production by the end of the decade. Hydrogen Cars: Performance of EVs, Convenience of Gasoline Dr. Goldner noted that hydrogen vehicles combine the best aspects of electric mobility: zero emissions, quiet operation, and quick acceleration. But unlike battery EVs, they offer the major advantage of refueling in just 3 to 4 minutes—comparable to conventional gasoline vehicles. This speed addresses one of the primary concerns many drivers have with electric cars, especially on longer trips where charging downtime becomes a significant inconvenience. Infrastructure Growth and Long-Term Strategy BMW views hydrogen not as a gamble, but as a calculated step toward a more adaptable, clean-energy future. The company is encouraged by the growing hydrogen fueling infrastructure in regions such as Europe, Japan, and South Korea. However, it acknowledges that hurdles remain, particularly in scaling up production and reducing costs. Still, the company now sees hydrogen as a 'strategic opportunity' rather than a technological risk. Public Perception: Divided but Curious The public response has been mixed. Discussions on Reddit reveal skepticism about hydrogen's viability compared to the maturing battery EV ecosystem, especially in terms of efficiency and operational costs. On the other hand, some users highlight the fast refueling times as a compelling reason to consider hydrogen, particularly in areas where charging stations are crowded or slow. In summary, BMW is betting on hydrogen as a complementary path to electrification—one that may appeal to a different kind of driver, in different kinds of markets, and in a future where flexibility could be just as important as innovation.

‘Greatest 24-hour race on the planet': Oman's Al-Harthy's journey at Le Mans
LE MANS: As the racing world turns its eyes to the Circuit de la Sarthe for the weekend of June 14-15, Oman's Ahmad Al-Harthy returns to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans for a third time — this year behind the wheel of the BMW M4 GT3 with Team WRT. For the latest updates, follow us @ArabNewsSport With a Le Mans podium already under his belt and growing support from BMW Oman, BMW Middle East and national partners, Al-Harthy continues to fly the sultanate's flag high on the global motorsport stage. Here are some of his thoughts. On representing Oman at the iconic race … Coming back here for the third time is very emotional. To be able to race and represent Oman, the GCC and everyone from the Arab world is a very proud moment for me. Le Mans is something I've been following since childhood. To me, it's the greatest 24-hour race on the planet. More importantly, it's a place where I truly enjoy racing and driving around, and I'm looking forward to this third experience. On his technical and mental progress since his first Le Mans podium in 2023 … It couldn't have started any better for me. Finishing on the podium in my first-ever 24-hour race was unbelievable, and I still get goosebumps when I think about it. The race was filled with so much emotion. Coming into 2024, my first race with BMW here was going well, but unfortunately, the weather affected us. We feel we have unfinished business, which makes us even more determined and hungry. As a driver, every time you compete in these events, you mature and gain a deeper understanding. I've had quite a few 24-hour race experiences, but Le Mans is always different. When you ask if I'm ready, physically, yes; mentally, it's the challenging part. Le Mans is a demanding circuit because the speeds are very high for extended periods. We are also racing alongside Hypercars and sharing the circuit with that level of speed always pushes your concentration to the limit. I believe that every year we come back, we are slightly stronger. We must take all the positives and learn from every single lap, every single turn. On the buzz of driving his BMW M4 LMGT3 … The first thing is realizing how blessed I am to share the track with some truly iconic names in motorsport. I often reflect on my early days in motorsport, and it fills me with emotions. I also get excited by the speed because it presents a massive challenge. You hear sounds and see things that you don't experience at any other racetrack in the world. I have certain spiritual rituals that I perform for all race weekends, and it's the same in that sense. This is my third 24-hour race, but I have competed at the 'Road to Le Mans' in 2017 and 2019, and I was fortunate enough to stand on the podium three out of four attempts. I feel that this race has been very kind to me, and I hope to continue that streak in 2025. On the chemistry with teammates Valentino Rossi and Kelvin Van Der Linde … You mentioned a very important point: Teamwork. For us to win and achieve great results at any endurance weekend, it's all about teamwork. It's not just about the three drivers; it involves everything from the pit crew to the engineering and support teams. Everyone must be on the same page. The harmony we share at Team WRT is something unique compared to many other teams on the grid. We spend a lot of time together; we are like a family away from home. It's not just about seeing each other in the race car; it's what happens behind the scenes. This closeness allows us to operate at a much higher level. Endurance racing is a long journey, and while it may feel like a sprint, you don't always need the fastest drivers to achieve the best results. You need drivers who can work together. We complement each other and focus on making the car the fastest, rather than just one driver. On the backing from BMW Oman throughout your journey … When we first announced our move to BMW, it was an exciting partnership. BMW's support on and off the racetrack means a lot to me. I'm proud to be an ambassador for the brand, and I've been a fan since I was young. Having a manufacturer support you from your home country in the Middle East is something I take great pride in. A message to young Arab and Omani athletes … The main message is that in motorsports, there are no shortcuts. We would love to see more Arab drivers coming through the ranks. We have some of the best circuits in the world, and it's time to develop these drivers correctly without taking shortcuts. To reach Le Mans, you must come through the ranks, and I hope my presence here creates a path for that. I want to motivate the younger generation to believe that they can be here and achieve their dreams. It takes time, and we need to understand that these things cannot be accomplished overnight. It's a tricky formula, but it's worth it.

BMW Design Shift Is About to Change Everything
BMW is embarking on a full-scale design revolution that will transform every vehicle in its portfolio. Dubbed the BMW Design Shift, this sweeping change will begin with the highly anticipated iX3 electric SUV, set to debut later this year, and extend to every model in the Bavarian automaker's lineup within the next four years. This bold move represents more than just a new look—it marks a strategic pivot in BMW's design identity. At the heart of the BMW Design Shift is the Neue Klasse design language, a minimalist, forward-thinking aesthetic first showcased in 2023 through concept vehicles. Now, this design vision is going mainstream. Group design chief Adrian van Hooydonk confirmed that the BMW Design Shift is not limited to electric models. Every car in BMW's stable—from the sporty 2 Series to the luxurious 7 Series and rugged X models—will adopt the new styling. 'We're ensuring that the Neue Klasse design becomes the defining face of every BMW,' van Hooydonk stated, noting that the rollout begins this year and will leave 'no car behind.' Interestingly, the transformation will start with the recently updated 5 Series sedan. Despite launching a new generation in 2023, the 5 Series will receive a visual refresh incorporating the Neue Klasse design. Although it remains on the current CLAR platform, this facelifted model will serve as the vanguard of the BMW Design Shift. Other key models, including the X5, X2, X7, and 2 Series, will follow shortly. Product development head Bernd Körber emphasized the speed and scope of the initiative, stating that the BMW Design will be completed within just three and a half years. This accelerated timeline reflects BMW's urgency to unify its brand image across all powertrains—combustion, hybrid, and electric. While the Neue Klasse aesthetic will bring cohesion to the brand, BMW assures fans that individuality won't be sacrificed. Each model will retain unique design elements and character traits, ensuring that the Design Shift enhances diversity rather than eliminating it. Initially intended exclusively for EVs, the Neue Klasse approach has since been extended to gas-powered models as well. The massive kidney grilles that once dominated BMW's front-end styling are expected to be replaced by sleeker, more refined surfaces and restrained detailing—hallmarks of the new design philosophy. The BMW Design Shift isn't just a cosmetic update—it's a statement about the brand's future. With a lineup that will soon speak a common design language, BMW is positioning itself to remain a leader in both innovation and visual identity as the industry evolves.
