Rockstar Games has officially announced "Money Fronts," the next major update for Grand Theft Auto Online, set to arrive on June 17, 2025. The update introduces a sophisticated layer to the criminal underworld of San Andreas, allowing players to establish seemingly legitimate businesses as covers for their illicit activities, reminiscent of the popular series Breaking Bad.

At the heart of the "Money Fronts" update is the ability for players to acquire and manage a range of storefronts that operate as fronts for money laundering. The entry point into this new venture is the iconic Hands On Car Wash in Strawberry.
GTA 5 Online update: New money laundering fronts
At the core of the update is the Hands On Car Wash, a low-profile but cash-intensive business that allows players to launder dirty money. With support from Martin Madrazo, players will connect with new advisors who help them manage operations, unlock additional fronts, and expand their laundering empire.
Players will be able to expand their legitimate portfolio to include other businesses like the "Smoke on the Water" dispensary and "Higgins Helitours." These additional fronts will not only help launder ill-gotten gains but also boost the earnings from existing criminal enterprises, such as weed farms and air freight cargo.
Owning the car wash will also provide access to other businesses, including the Smoke on the Water dispensary and Higgins Helitours, which enhance earnings from Weed Farms and Air Freight Cargo networks.
Illegal activities tied to these operations will generate Heat, attracting unwanted attention. Players must balance criminal dealings with legitimate business management to keep their passive income flowing while avoiding law enforcement scrutiny.
New vehicles and gameplay enhancements
The
Money Fronts update
also introduces a range of new vehicles, including:
* Karin Everon RS (SUV)
* Declasse Tampa GT (Muscle Car)
* Western Police Bike (for Dispatch Work missions)
Additionally, Rockstar is rolling out quality-of-life improvements, such as:
* Missile Lock-On Jammer support for 50 more vehicles
* Option to skip certain cutscenes when replaying missions
* Arena Points earnings doubled
* Increased delay for global signals during public Sell Missions
* Removal of Boxville van from Biker Sell Missions

CME live cattle sink on long liquidation as beef rally falters
CHICAGO, June 20 (Reuters) - Chicago Mercantile Exchange live cattle surrendered early gains on Friday and slumped to a 2-1/2 week low on long liquidation and profit-taking following recent all-time highs and as surging beef prices showed signs of topping out, traders said. Position squaring ahead of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's monthly Cattle on Feed report, released after the close, also contributed weakness. The market had been underpinned by rallying beef prices before choice beef slipped on Friday. Demand for beef is expected to wane following a series of holidays when beef consumption typically rises, including Father's Day and the upcoming U.S. Independence Day holiday. Benchmark CME August live cattle settled 1.850 cents lower at 209.825 cents per pound, the lowest close since June 3. "You did see the big run-up in choice box beef slow down a little bit today. As we draw closer to the 4th of July, you're gonna have the idea that that's gonna cool off a little bit more," said Matthew Wiegand, broker with FuturesOne. The choice boxed beef cutout value fell $3.29 per cwt on Friday to $390.50 after gaining $28.71 since June 6, according to USDA data. The select cutout was up $2.36 at $376.95 per cwt on Friday. After the close, the USDA reported that the U.S. supply of cattle on feed as of June 1 was down 1% from a year earlier, in line with trade estimates, while May placements were down 8%, a larger-than-expected drop. CME feeder cattle followed live cattle lower, surrendering early gains that were tied to the ongoing suspension of imports from Mexico over concerns about New World screwworm south of the border. The USDA on Wednesday announced new plans to combat the pest as screwworm flies have been moving northward in Mexico. August feeder cattle ended down 1.725 cents at 302.450 cents per pound. CME lean hog futures ended higher, with actively-traded August up 0.450 cent at 112.450 cents. (Reporting by Karl Plume; Editing by Alan Barona)

Advocates body seeks CJI intervention after ED issues summons to senior lawyers
The Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association (SCAORA) on Friday raised concerns over the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoning yet another senior legal professional — this time, senior advocate Pratap Venugopal, and urged Chief Justice of India (CJI) Bhushan R Gavai to take immediate suo motu cognisance of what the body described as a serious infringement on the independence of the legal profession and lawyer-client confidentiality. Venugopal was the Advocate-on-Record (AoR) for a legal opinion rendered by senior counsel Arvind Datar that supported the allotment of the Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) by Care Health Insurance to former Religare Enterprises Chairperson Rashmi Saluja. While ED had earlier this month summoned Datar as well, that notice was subsequently withdrawn after protests from the legal fraternity. In a letter dated June 20, SCAORA President Vipin Nair termed the ED's action 'a deeply disquieting development,' cautioning that such coercive measures strike at the heart of legal privilege and the fundamental tenets of the rule of law. Venugopal, who was designated as a senior advocate earlier this year, received an ED summons on June 19 under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. The summons relates to the ongoing investigation into the ESOP matter. In its letter, SCAORA asserted that such actions amount to an 'impermissible transgression' of the sacrosanct principle of lawyer-client privilege. It warned that if left unchecked, this trend could have a chilling effect on the entire legal community, discouraging lawyers from rendering candid legal advice and undermining the independence of the Bar. 'The role of an advocate in offering legal advice is both privileged and protected. Interference by investigative agencies, particularly in respect of opinions rendered in a professional capacity—strikes at the core of the rule of law,' the letter stated. SCAORA urged the Supreme Court to intervene and examine the legality and propriety of issuing summonses to advocates for professional opinions, besides framing guidelines to prevent future incursions into lawyer-client confidentiality. This is the second time in recent days that the Association has raised its voice against such summonses. On June 16, SCAORA issued a public statement condemning the ED's notice to Datar, terming it 'unwarranted' and indicative of a growing trend of investigative overreach. On June 17, the Delhi High Court Bar Association also passed a resolution strongly criticising the ED's move, calling it a direct threat to the constitutional right to legal representation and fair trial. The Gujarat High Court Advocates Association too convened an emergency meeting the same day, with its president Brijesh Trivedi denouncing the ED's actions as violative of legal independence. The body demanded immediate government action to protect attorney-client privilege through statutory amendments to the Indian Evidence Act, 1872 and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023.

Madras High Court initiates suo motu contempt against T.N. Chief Secretary Muruganandam, his predecessor Shiv Das Meena
The Madras High Court, on Friday (June 20, 2025), issued statutory notices to incumbent Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam and his predecessor Shiv Das Meena (thus retired) in suo motu contempt of court proceedings initiated against them and directed both of them to appear before the court on July 21. Justice Battu Devanand passed the orders after being prima facie convinced that the two officials had failed to comply with an order passed by the court on September 19, 2023 in true letter and spirit and had attempted to show compliance only after the court directed the High Court Registry to register the suo motu contempt petition. It was while disposing of a batch of three writ petitions in 2023 that Justice Devanand had directed the Chief Secretary to constitute a committee for recommending necessary amendments to the Tamil Nadu Civil Service (Appointment on Compassionate Grounds) Rules, 2023 since they suffered from various infirmities. The judge had also ordered that the committee should consider the issue of fixing a time frame for providing compassionate employment to the dependants of government employees who die in service and consider the possibility of maintaining a district wise list of dependants eligible for compassionate appointment. Then, the judge had also directed the Chief Secretary to file an action taken report before the court within three months. However, on June 5, 2025 while hearing another writ petition related to compassionate employment, the judge learnt that the Chief Secretary had not complied with the orders passed by him way back in 2023. Therefore, he directed the High Court Registry to register a suo motu contempt of court petition against all officers who had held the post of Chief Secretary since September 19, 2023. Accordingly, the Registry registered the contempt petition against Mr. Meena and Mr. Muruganandam and listed it for admission on Friday. The judge was informed that Mr. Meena had served as the Chief Secretary from September 2023 (when the court order was passed) till August 19, 2024 when he got appointed as the Chairperson of Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA) and that Mr. Muruganandam had been holding the post since then. When the contempt petition was heard on Friday, Additional Advocate General M. Suresh Kumar submitted a Government Order issued on June 11, 2025 constituting a committee, as ordered by the High Court in 2023, for recommending amendments to the rules related to compassionate appointments. However, expressing dissatisfaction over the G.O. having been issued only after the High Court ordered registration of the suo motu contempt petition, the judge decided to proceed with the matter and issued statutory notices to both the officers requiring their presence before the court after 30 days.
