Cher's somber son Chaz Bono seen for first time since brother Elijah Blue Allman's overdose

Daily Mail3 days ago

Cher 's somber son Chaz Bono was seen for the first time since brother Elijah Blue Allman's overdose as he stepped out in California on Tuesday.
The legendary performer's youngest child, 48, whom she shared with the late Gregg Allman, 'was rushed to the hospital in Joshua Tree, California, after overdosing earlier Saturday morning.'
Chaz, 56, put on a brave face and wore a poignant 'Strong' shirt as he waved at snappers- three days after the devastating family event.
This comes after harrowing new details emerged in Allman's overdose in Southern California over the weekend.
A San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department spokesman told DailyMail.com: 'On Saturday, June 14, 2025, at about 1:25 p.m., deputies from our Morongo Basin Station responded to a residence in the 2300 block of Cambria Avenue, in Landers, for a male subject acting erratically.
'When deputies arrived, Elijah Allman, 48, was being evaluated by emergency medical personnel. Deputies located drugs inside the home and Allman was transported to the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.'
A source added that Allman remains hospitalized and his 'current condition is unclear.'
DailyMail.com has contacted representatives for Cher for comment and has yet to hear back.
It is unknown what drugs Allman was using - with an insider adding 'Allman is 'very lucky to have survived.
At this time, his mother is focused on 'doing everything she can to get him the help he needs' and only concerned for her son's well-being.
Back in 2014, Allman revealed he began using drugs, like weed and ecstasy, at just 11 and detailed some close calls when it came to overdosing.
'I [was] just looking to escape all the things in my past and, that's when you turn to those kind of drugs, you know heroin and opiates,' he told ET. '[Heroin] kind of saved me … If I didn't have that at that point, I don't know what I would have done …You may jump off a bridge. If you can only just go through that time period and live through it and then get help.'
Allman also revealed he had 'some close calls and some moments of really feeling at the edge of mortality.'
'I always kind of kept it a little bit safe but you never can do that,' he explained. 'Even though you think that in your mind, of course the wrong things can happen. The wrong combination of things can happen and you can just slip into the abyss. I knew it was wrong and I knew that I was very unsatisfied with life at that point.'
The Oscar winner filed for a temporary sole conservatorship over Elijah's finances in 2023, arguing he suffered from 'severe mental health and substance abuse issues.'
'Any funds distributed to Elijah will immediately be spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself, and putting Elijah's life at risk,' the court documents read.
Cher withdrew the request in September 2024, nine months after he had filed court documents stating he was sober and had been attending AA-type meetings.
Allman's father, Gregg, suffered from substance abuse issues which doctors believe lead to his death from liver cancer in 2012.
Chaz, 56, put on a brave face and wore a poignant 'Strong' shirt as he waved at snappers- three days after the devastating family event
His late uncle Duane Allman also struggled with drugs before being killed in a motorcycle accident in 1971.
Allman's reported overdose comes after he was seen looking very sunburned, sweaty and disoriented outside the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles in May.
He is currently going through a divorce from his estranged wife, Marieangela King.
She has cited 'irreconcilable differences' and requested he pay $6,000 per month in temporary spousal support.

Reel Recovery fishing retreat held in Norfolk for men with cancer

A group which aims to help men with cancer by teaching them fly-fishing is hosting its second weekend retreat in the UK. Reel Recovery started in the US in 2003 and says it has helped more than 4,700 men living with cancer. This weekend's event near Dereham, in Norfolk, will teach 12 men how to fly-fish while prompting conversations and offering a space for sharing their experiences of the organiser, Michael Sayers, said men were "notoriously bad" at talking about health and emotions and the fishing trip "really helps them to open up and think about how cancer has affected their lives and relationships and how they view their future". The retreat is free to participants and provides meals and accommodation at the location in North Elmham."Fly-fishing is basically like meditation in motion," said Mr Sayers."You're out there and you're literally immersed in nature or immersed in a river and you have the sound of the water flowing by and rustling the trees, no wifi, no interruptions and it's a simple, mindful, rhythmic act of casting a fly line."Reel Recovery ran its first retreat in the UK in Northumberland last year and it has worked with the Big C Cancer Charity and the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital to organise this one. Comedians Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse have fished in Norfolk with their BBC TV programme, Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing where they share personal experiences of life, and Mortimer's experience of heart problems, while fishing. Mr Sayers said the Reel Recovery activities were "cathartic" and offered men some escape as the weekend, a ceremony is held, where each man receives a fishing vest which has been passed down from each retreat. "We have fishing vests which go back 22 years from when Reel Recovery started this programme in the United States and we get every participant to sign and date it and write a message on it," he said."Some of them will be wearing vests that would have had 22 years of [being worn by] other guys with cancer."There's a real feeling of strength that comes from that, and brotherhood." Busty Blink 182 album model looks worlds away from iconic cover 26 years on

In 1999 punk-rock band Blink 182 enlisted Janine Lindemulder to be the cover star of their hit album Enema of the State. She famously posed in a sexy nurse outfit, complete with a white coat flashing a red bra that put her busty chest on display. Lindemulder pulled a blue latex glove over one hand in the famous image, and stared teasingly at the camera while wearing frosty blue eyeshadow and red lipstick. A vibrant blue butterfly was tattooed on her arm, and she wore a tiny white nurse's cap on top of her blonde highlighted locks. The theme continued on the back cover of the CD, with bandmates Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus, and Tom DeLonge standing in front of her wearing nothing but boxers. Today, some 26 years later, the 56-year-old adult film star looks nearly unrecognizable. She famously posed in a sexy nurse outfit, complete with a white coat flashing a red bra that put her busty chest on display Per The Sun, the Enema of the State was originally slated to be named Turn Around and Cough. Photographer David Goldman noted that it was the inspiration behind the hospital-themed imagery. The album went on to sell more than 15 million copies worldwide and spurred the hit singles What's My Age Again? — whose video also starred Janine — All The Small Things, and Adam's Song. However, following the career highlight, the bombshell's personal life began to unravel. In 2002 Lindenmulder was inducted into the Adult Video News hall of fame, the same year she married West Coast Choppers founder Jesse James, with whom she welcomed daughter Sunny. They divorced in 2004. The model served six months behind bars for failing to pay $300k in taxes and upon her release, she fought Jesse for custody of Sunny alongside his new wife Sandra Bullock. The couple cited Janine's drug use as one reason she was an unfit mother, but she insisted she was on a healthy track, telling ABC News in 2009: 'Sandy doesn't know what goes on in my house. I'd love for her to. 'Please come over, you know, I'll make dinner, you know, let's sit down, [as] two women.' Janine married West Coast Choppers founder Jesse James in 2002, with whom she welcomed daughter Sunny. They divorced in 2004 and in 2009 fought for custody of the child; pictured in 2003 James and Bullock divorced in 2010 after he was caught cheating. Meanwhile, Lindemulder was married to third husband Jeremy from 2009-2010. These days, she looks quite different as she's covered in tattoos and sporting brunette hair. On X, she engages a following of 89,000, promoting her page as '18+.' Her location is tagged as Oregon and there is a link to her OnlyFans account, where fans can subscribe for about $10/month. Her profile description boasts: 'Penthouse Pet '87, Vivid girl, AVN Hall of fame, Blink 182 cover model, multiple award winner including Best G/G and B/G.'

Amanda Bynes looks downcast on rare solo outing after joining OnlyFans

Amanda Bynes looked downcast as she was seen on a rare solo outing after joining X-rated subscription site OnlyFans. The 39-year-old actress was seen looking rather despondent as she hit luxury grocery store Erewhon in Calabasas on Thursday. Bynes kept her look simple as she sported a light grey full zip hoodie with skinny black jeans and matching Vans Old Skool high-top sneakers. She had her hands full as she carried a brown paper bag from the celebrity-favorite organic supermarket along with a pink Elfbar vape. Her blonde locks were worn down as the sides were pinned up to resemble a mullet style haircut as she wore minimal make-up. This comes weeks after it was revealed that Bynes is seeing her OnlyFans venture as a 'career renaissance' and wants to use it to divulge stories from her time at Nickelodeon, a year on from an explosive documentary which exposed the 'toxic environment' at the TV network. Bynes announced her foray into the X-rated subscription site in April, telling fans she was using it merely to communicate with them, and insisted she will not be sharing anything 'sleazy.' Now, a source close to the former child star has claimed the move will not only afford her the opportunity to make money, share her fashion designs and provide a potential springboard into reality TV, but will also be a safe space to reveal 'what happened from her past at Nickelodeon.' 'Amanda was looking into making money and is convinced that OnlyFans will bring some serious cash her way,' the insider told 'Her intentions are to do this before she seeks any reality show opportunities. 'She understands the stigma around OnlyFans, but she is determined to make this very safe – nothing naughty. She wants to share some of her future designs with her fans, collaborate with them and she also wants to tell stories to people who don't know everything about what happened from her past at Nickelodeon. 'She wants to make it a spot where fans can go and treat it like a meet and greet.' She pursued fashion and art at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, graduating with an Associate's of Art degree in 2014. The insider said she 'doesn't care if friends won't like that she is doing this' as she is 'looking to change course on how she has lived her life the last few years.' They added: 'She is seeing OnlyFans as a bit of a career renaissance.' Bynes announced her OnlyFans debut on Instagram, 15 years after quitting the entertainment business. Bynes, 39, announced her foray into the X-rated subscription site on Tuesday, telling fans she was using it to communicate with them, and insisted she will not be sharing anything 'sleazy' 'I'm doing onlyfans to chat with my fans through dm's,' she wrote alongside a screenshot of her new profile. 'I won't be posting any sleazy content. Excited to join.' She is charging fans more than $50 per month to access her page which currently has mirror selfies. Bynes has maintained a relatively low profile since quitting Hollywood in 2010. In December 2024, she hosted a pop-up art show that was attended by celebrities including Miley Cyrus' younger sister, Noah. It followed a tumultuous time for the troubled star who suffered a highly publicized breakdown in the early 2010s before being placed under a legal conservatorship by her parents for nine years back in 2013. Her downward spiral hit the headlines again last year after the release of Discovery documentary Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids, which shone a light on the 'close' relationship that producer Dan Schneider had with the teenage star. Schneider – who helped create some of the network's most popular shows like All That, Drake & Josh, Henry Danger, Kenan & Kel, Sam & Cat, The Amanda Show, Victorious, Zoey 101, and iCarly – was accused of being overtly inappropriate with Bynes, who is 20 years his junior, as well as with other employees. In the wake of the documentary a video circulated of a bikini-clad Bynes, who was a child at the time, sitting in a hot tub with a fully clothed Schneider. The clip was taken from Bynes' recurring sketch, Amanda's Jacuzzi, which saw the young star interview guests in the bubbling pool. Commentators recalled Schneider and Bynes being 'very close' – including 'physically.' Karyn Finley Thompson, who worked as an editor on several Nickelodeon shows, said: 'There were many times that I saw Amanda sitting behind him, hugging him or giving him like a neck massage or whatever. 'Dan and Amanda had a close relationship, and I didn't think anything different than that. The hot tub scene though I always thought was a little odd.' Schneider departed from the network in 2018 amid numerous allegations of misconduct. At the time, Nickelodeon said it had performed an internal investigation and found that evidence to back up the allegations was 'non-existent.' Schneider, who joined the network in 1993, responded to the allegations made on the documentary in a 19 minute YouTube video in which he admitted that he 'regretted' his past actions and that he owed 'some people a pretty strong apology.' He said he was 'embarrassed' by his behavior in the writer's room and also apologized for his frequent requests for massages from female members of staff while in the studio. But he denied he was involved in any sort of sexual abuse either on the set of, or behind the scenes. In May, two months after the documentary was released, he filed a defamation legal case against the producers, branding the show a 'hit job.' Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV described Nickelodeon in the early 2000s as an 'insidious environment rife with allegations of abuse, sexism, racism and inappropriate dynamics with its underage stars and crew.'
