Tommy Freeman promises ‘fun and dangerous' Lions approach to Argentina clash
Andy Farrell is fielding the biggest centres and wings he has available in his squad with England try machine Freeman joined by Duhan van der Merwe, Bundee Aki and Sione Tuipulotu.
All four weigh over 100kg and the muscular midfield partnership of Aki and Tuipulotu in particular is generating excitement ahead of Friday's curtain raiser to the expedition Down Under.

Freeman is keen for them to make a statement by going for the jugular against a dangerous Pumas side that is ranked fifth in the world.
'Without giving away too much, hopefully there will be a lot of tries and instinctive playing. It's going to be a lot of fun – and dangerous,' Freeman said.
'We're not going to be there to set stuff up and go through phases for the sake of going through phases. We want to score off the back of anything we can.
'There are threats that players have to offer and we have ball players who can put us into space.'
The first outing of a 10-fixture itinerary that culminates in a three-Test series against the Wallabies will provide an early indication of the Lions' tactical identity under Farrell.

Richard Wigglesworth hinted at the creative prowess of half-backs Alex Mitchell and Fin Smith and full-back Marcus Smith when analysing the potential to trouble Argentina, but even the tourists' attack coach concedes it is the combination of Aki and Tuipulotu that really captures the imagination.
'We've got power, pace and no little skill in between. I'm excited to see the centre partnership as they can play through and around teams. They should create some space for those boys outside,' Wigglesworth said.
'They can definitely test the gain line, but they've also got really high-level skill with a short passing game and balls out the back.'
Farrell has lit a fire under those players involved against Argentina by declaring the race for Test places is wide open.
The challenge facing Freeman and his team-mates is to capture the eye of the Lions head coach with individual performances that will propel them into his thinking against Australia, while also serving the greater cause.
'Andy has been really good talking about us impressing each other rather than anyone else outside the picture,' Freeman said.
'You want to obviously play well for yourself and get yourself selected for these Test matches and doing that on Friday night would help, but at the end of the day you have to play well and do your role for the team.
'This week will there will be pressure in the back of your mind and you can't ignore it, but every time you put that shirt on or training gear you want to put your best foot forward and do the best you can for the team and yourself.'

Reason Florian Wirtz chose Liverpool made clear in first words after £116m move
Florian Wirtz is excited for his new adverture after completing his transfer to Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen. The Germany international becomes the Reds' most expensive ever signing after Arne Slot's side agreed a deal that could reach £116million. Liverpool will initially part ways with £100m and could yet secure a British record deal for the 22-year-old if add-ons, which are linked to both the individual success of the player and the team, are met. Wirtz arrived on Merseyside on Thursday to complete his medical ahead of the deal being confirmed, with the final tests being on Friday morning. Liverpool's newest attacker has put pen to paper on a five-year contract. Wirtz made it clear his preference was a move to Liverpool late last month and turned down advances from Manchester City and Bayern Munich. Real Madrid also had an initial interest but decided to pursue other targets. "I feel very happy and very proud," said Wirtz after signing. "Finally it's done and I was waiting for a long time – finally it's done and I am really happy. 'I'm really excited to have a new adventure in front of me. This was also a big point of my thoughts: that I want to have something completely new, to go out of the Bundesliga and to join the Premier League. 'I will see how I can perform there. I hope I can do my best. I spoke also with some players who played there and they told me that it's perfect for me and every pitch is perfect, you can enjoy every game. I'm really looking forward to playing my first game.' Winning the Premier League is already on Wirtz's mind. 'I would like to win everything every year! First of all, we have to do our work, I have to make my work," he added. 'In the end, we want to be successful. Last season they won the Premier League so my goal is for sure to win it again and also to go further in the Champions League. I'm really ambitious.' Liverpool's spending this summer is set to surpass £200m. The Reds are set to land Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth after agreeing a £40m fee. The left-back is set to make the trip to Merseyside for a medical next week. Join our new WhatsApp communityand receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content. The German international is set to become one of the Premier League's highest earners during his Anfield stay. 7 He's reportedly been handed a contract worth a whopping £245,000 a week. That works out to an eye-watering £12.7m a year, nearly TWELVE TIMES what he earned on his last contract with Leverkusen. The midfielder is guaranteed to take home £10.2m of that figure each year, with the remainder being made up of individual and team performance bonuses. Wirtz's mammoth contract has made him Liverpool's THIRD HIGHEST-PAID player. Only Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, who both penned new £400,000-a-week deals with the Prem champions last season, earn more than him. 7 He continued: "I will see how I can perform here. I hope I can do my best. "I spoke also with some players who played there and they told me that it's perfect for me and every pitch is perfect, you can enjoy every game. Liverpool complete stunning Florian Wirtz transfer in £116m mega deal
Florian Wirtz has completed his £116m move to Liverpool as the Reds £200m summer spending spree continues. The Germany star underwent a two-day medical on Merseyside and conducted his media duties before being unveiled by the club. Wirtz, 22, arrived in Liverpool on Thursday afternoon and began the tests. He arrived at the club's training ground on Friday morning to do the second part of the medical before the deal was rubber stamped. The Reds will pay £100m upfront to Bayer Leverkusen with the rest due in add-ons which are linked to both the individual success of the player and the team. He has signed a five-year deal with the Reds in a deal which breaks the club record £85m they agreed to pay Benfica for Darwin Nunez in 2022. And should they hit all the add-ons in the deal it will surpass the £115m Chelsea paid Brighton for Moises Caicedo in 2023, which currently stands as the British transfer record. The Reds negotiated a fee lower than the £127m package which Leverkusen were trying to hold out for. 'I feel very happy and very proud" said Wirtz. I'm really looking forward to playing my first game.' Asked about his targets with the club, he added: 'I would like to win everything every year! First of all, we have to do our work, I have to make my work. 'In the end, we want to be successful. Last season they won the Premier League so my goal is for sure to win it again and also to go further in the Champions League. I'm really ambitious.' Wirtz made it clear he wanted to move to Merseyside late last month after turning down advances from Manchester City and Bayern Munich. Real Madrid also had an initial interest but decided to pursue other targets. The £100m will be guaranteed but, like any modern deal, will be paid in instalments over a number of years while the add-ons will then be paid as and when they are triggered. The huge figure shows the belief within Anfield for the ability of the Germany international both now and in the future. Those who have watched him intently are sure there's still huge scope for improvement for a player who had 30 goal contributions last season. Liverpool's spending this summer is set to go north of £200m as they are also set to land Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth after agreeing a £40m fee. The Hungary left-back will travel to Merseyside for a medical next week. Jeremie Frimpong has already been signed from Leverkusen for £29.5m Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is arriving from Valencia for around £30m after spending last season on loan with the La Liga club. But Liverpool's spending is not stopping there: defender Jarell Quansah is closing in on a £35m move to Bayer Leverkusen and that means the Reds could move for Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi. While a striker remains a target, especially if Nunez departs as expected. Newcastle front man Alexander Isak is certainly admired at Liverpool, among other clubs. Although, the Magpies are under no pressure to sell due to PSR rules so it would take a huge change in stance for them to suddenly listen to offers especially with Champions League football this season.
