Halle Bailey 'granted temporary sole custody of son' after DDG abuse allegations

Perth Now15-05-2025

Halle Bailey has reportedly been granted temporary sole physical and legal custody of her son.
The 25-year-old singer and actress - who had also been granted a temporary restraining order against her ex DDG (real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) - will have their 16-month-old son in her care until a June 4 court hearing after accusing the rapper of domestic abuse.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Bailey claimed she filed for sole custody without notifying DDG because she was "afraid that the violence would reoccur" and that "the other party would take the children out of the area".
It comes after the 'Little Mermaid' star was also granted a temporary retraining order.
Under the temps of the protection order, DDG must stay at least 100 yards away from Bailey and their son, which includes her home and vehicle.
The YouTube and Twitch star is also banned from personally contacting her, while he isn't allowed any visitation with Halo until "further order of the court".
Just over six months after they announced their split, PEOPLE learned via legal documents that Bailey has accused him of various kinds of abuse.
In documents obtained by the outlet, she alleged: "I realize that there is no placating Darryl. I cannot allow this abuse any longer.
"Whenever he wishes to cause upset, he starts badmouthing me to his several millions of fans.
"He claims I am withholding our son and that I am with other men. As a result, I then receive threats and hate on social media. He seems to try to set up drama for his fans.
"He goes 'live' ranting about me and alleges that I am keeping Halo from him. This is false. I have requested a set schedule, which he refuses."
The 'Color Purple' star included photographic evidence with her request, which included pictures of her bearing a chipped front tooth and a large bruise on her bicep.

Surprise Aussie Orlando Bloom sighting amid Katy Perry split rumours

Katy Perry's longtime partner Orlando Bloom has been spotted here in Australia, amid rumours the couple's relationship is on the rocks. Perry is nearing the end of the Australian leg of her Lifetimes tour, with shows in Perth last night and tonight before she finishes her Oz jaunt with four shows in Adelaide. Earlier this month and several shows into the Australian tour, reports surfaced claiming that Perry's nine-year relationship with actor Bloom was all but done. 'It's over,' a source alleged to Page Six. 'They are waiting till her tour is over before they split.' The pair have been engaged since 2019, and welcomed daughter Daisy Dove the following year. But while Bloom wasn't present for the earlier shows of the Australian visit, it appears he's now flown to Perth to join Perry and their daughter on tour. He was snapped walking through the Perth CBD yesterday ahead of Perry's first show in the city, with their daughter on his shoulders. Perry, however, was nowhere to be seen. A source in People made the somewhat unlikely claim that poor sales of Perry's latest album 143 and its accompanying singles were partly to blame for the alleged breakdown of her relationship. 'Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album,' the outlet quoted a source as saying. 'It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.' Other reports alleged that tensions surfaced between the couple over Perry's controversial all-female space flight back in April. A source alleged to The Sun that Bloom was 'frustrated' and 'disappointed' with his partner's decision to go ahead with the brief joy ride into space. Perry looked to be enjoying herself before Bloom joined her on tour, partying at a gay club night held in her honour last week in Melbourne. Perry cheered on the drag shows and mingled with patrons during the 'Poof Doof' party at Melbourne's Chasers nightclub last week, and even addressed the crowd to make a big announcement. 'Because you are my chosen family, a mother must provide for her children,' she told the heaving crowd in the club. 'So as a provider, I would like to open the bar for one hour. The drinks are on me, baby.' Perry and Bloom had earlier split for a year in 2017 before getting back together. The pop star addressed the past break on the podcast Call her Daddy last year, saying, 'We weren't really in it from day one. He was because he had just done a huge time of celibacy, and he had set intentions. I was fresh out of a relationship, and I was like, I can't do this anymore. I need to swim in a different pond, but I had to do a lot real work.'

Hailey Bieber ditches her wedding ring as Justin Bieber divorce rumours loom

Don't miss out on the headlines from Hook Ups & Break Ups. Followed categories will be added to My News. Hailey Bieber fuelled rumours that she and husband Justin Bieber are headed for divorce after she was spotted without her wedding ring while out and about in New York City. The model was photographed going ring-less on Thursday as she stepped out on two separate occasions — the first being for breakfast at The Commerce Inn in the West Village. Photos obtained by Page Six reveal she wore a khaki trench coat and sunglasses for the outing, but made sure to leave her $US500,000 jewellery piece at home. Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber have sparked rumours they're headed for a split. Picture: MEGA/GC Images Hailey, 28, was later seen that evening with models Camila Morrone and Suki Waterhouse as they headed for a girls' night out at Chez Fifi on the Upper East Side. For her second look, the billionaire babe looked chic in a black leather coat and matching high-neck top with wide-leg jeans. A rep for Hailey did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment. Divorce rumours have followed the couple for some time. However, the speculation appeared to be reignited earlier this year after Hailey unfollowed Justin, 31, on Instagram in March. Hailey and Justin have been engulfed by rumours of trouble in paradise. Hailey and Justin welcomed a son, Jack, last year. The Rhode Skin founder claimed the unfollowing happened because of a glitch that took place when Justin deactivated and reactivated his account. Hailey addressed the incessant divorce speculation that has plagued the famous pair since their 2018 wedding in her Vogue interview last month, calling out 'bitches' who won't 'move on.' 'Well, I thought seven years in it would've [died down] already, and it hasn't,' she said. 'You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit, but no,' the first-time mom, who welcomed son Jack Blues with Justin last August, added. 'So I guess these bitches are going to be mad.' The couple also continues to face added scrutiny as many have expressed their concern for the 'Beauty and a Beat' singer's wellbeing after he was seen acting erratically and recreationally smoking marijuana on several occasions. In April, a source confirmed to Page Six that Justin is 'going through a hard time' and that Hailey was worried for him. 'Hailey is doing her best to be there for him, but there's only so much she can do,' the source said at the time. 'Hailey loves Justin with all her heart, but that doesn't necessarily mean she's happy.'
