A Disappointing Update On The ‘Bridgerton' Season 4 Release Date

Forbesa day ago

Bridgerton season 4
We know that Bridgerton season 4 will release in 2026, allegedly. But we now have an update that reinforces just how long the wait has been and will continue to be.
The good news is that Netflix has just shared that season 4 of Bridgerton has wrapped filming as of today. The bad news is how long of a wait there is still to come and how long the gaps between these seasons still are.
So, if filming has wrapped now, which we can round up to the beginning of July, we can use past data to figure out when Bridgerton season 4 is actually going to be released. And it's a while yet.
Bridgerton season 3 wrapped filming in March 2023 and stayed in post-production until May 24, 14 months later. So, if season 4 wrapped now, 14 months from the beginning of July would be the beginning of September 2026.
Given that season 3 of Bridgerton season 3 aired in May 2024, that makes this a gap of two years and five months between seasons. We could scale down a few months maybe if we assume season 3 was interrupted by strikes to some degree, but it's still over two years.
Previously, showrunner Jess Brownell has said outright that there is just no way around this:
She may have said they're trying to speed things up, but given the data we've seen here, that does not appear to be happening unless they can dramatically increase their production schedule. And the idea that shows have to be filmed and edited and dubbed and written (with source material to reference) is not exactly something that other shows don't also have to deal with. But I suppose that's why 1.5-3 years is the new norm.
Bridgerton season 4
There are eight books in the Bridgerton series, and if this large gap remains, it will be the mid-to-late 2030s before the show finishes the source material in full. But given how well it performs, it stands to reason that Netflix has every reason to see it through to the end. Here's the synopsis for season 4 via Netflix:
It remains to be seen whether Bridgerton season 4 will be broken up into two parts like season 3. Fans are sick of that, but it's a coinflip whether or not Netflix keeps doing it with its big shows currently. My guess would be yes. See you this fall. Sorry, next fall.

Armani's global aesthetic shines in bohemian Emporio Armani show, though designer misses Milan bow

MILAN (AP) — Giorgio Armani's admiration for other cultures and global aesthetic was on full display at his latest Emporio Armani show, but the designer himself was notably absent. Armani, 90, skipped the customary bow at the Emporio Armani menswear preview for Spring-Summer 2026 during Milan Fashion Week on Saturday, as he recovers at home. His fashion house confirmed his convalescence in advance but did not provide details about his condition. Despite his absence, Armani was deeply involved in shaping the collection, his fashion house said, working closely with Leo Dell'Orco, his longtime menswear director, who took the final bow. Normally, Armani would have posed with the models at the end of the show — another signature moment missing. Bohemian cool for the world traveler The Emporio Armani collection carried a free-spirited, Bohemian air — a vision for the youthful adventurer who balances comfort with style, ornament with utility. Models sported braids or silver beads in their hair, and layered accessories: beaded necklaces, charms, tassels, and fringes. Jackets ranged from softly tailored with sweeping scarf collars — ideal for wind and sun protection — to intricately detailed styles with feather-light touches or loose weaves. Crafted textures and nomadic vibes Natural fabrics like crepe and linen, often left rough to the touch, contrasted with silky prints inspired by Moroccan mosaics. Trousers varied from gently pleated to dramatically ballooned, paired with long, embroidered tunics. The traveler's ensemble was completed with crossbody bags, tapestry duffels, vintage-style suitcases, woven slippers, and straw hats worn low over the eyes, conjuring the image of a man journeying through sun-soaked lands. A sporty take on desert looks For the EA7 Emporio Armani line — his sporty offshoot — Armani leaned into more technical textiles. A desert-inspired capsule collection played out against a soundtrack of howling wind, echoing the stark and elemental feel of the clothes as the models strode through the showroom, which was decorated with sheer curtains. A tribute to Armani's aesthetic origins The show notes described the collection as 'a moment of introspection and identity. Not to pause in contemplation, but to channel new energy into moving forward, while conscious of one's own origins.' Armani returns to 'shapes and attitudes that have always been present, returning to a founding principle of his aesthetic: A genuine interest in other cultures,'' the notes said. Front-row guests included Olympic champion sprinter Marcell Jacobs, actors André Lamoglia, from the Netflix series 'Elite,' and Michael Cooper Jr., currently starring in the Netflix series 'Forever,'' and NBA players Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers and Anthony Black of the Orlando Magic. Rod Stewart Reveals The 1 Reason His Trump Friendship Is Done: 'I Can't Anymore'

Grammy-winning singer Rod Stewart says he can't be friends with President Donald Trump anymore, citing his administration's ongoing support for the brutal Israeli military campaign in Gaza that has killed more than 55,000 Palestinians since October 2023 according to the Gaza Health Ministry. Stewart recently sat down for an interview with Radio Times to promote his upcoming set at the Glastonbury Festival, only to tear into Trump, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu — after being asked if he still considers Trump a friend. 'No, I can't any more,' Stewart told the outlet. 'As long as he's selling arms to the Israelis — and he still is. How's that war ever gonna stop? And we should stop selling them as well. What did Starmer say yesterday? They dropped the talks on trade?' 'What fucking difference is that gonna make?' the singer continued. 'Someone's gotta do something. What Netanyahu is doing to the Palestinians is exactly what happened to the Jews. It's annihilation, and that's all he wants to do — get rid of them all.' 'I don't know how they sleep at night,' Stewart added. This isn't the first time Stewart has criticized Trump. The rock icon reportedly said ahead of the 2016 election that he didn't think Trump was 'presidential,' called him a 'prick' in 2020 for pulling out of the Paris Climate Accords and ridiculed him onstage last year. Stewart used to frequently socialize with the former real estate tycoon, however. The rock icon explained during his interview Tuesday that he lives 'literally half a mile' from Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida — and once 'knew him very, very well.' 'I used to go to his Christmas parties,' Stewart told Radio Times. 'He's always been a bit of a man's man. I liked him for that. But he didn't, as far as I'm concerned, treat women very well. But since he became president, he became another guy.' 'Somebody I didn't know,' he reflected. The singer mocked Trump last year during a Las Vegas concert ahead of the 2024 election for 'turning orange,' as Trump made the racist claim that then-Democratic nominee, former Vice President Kamala Harris, 'happened to turn Black' before announcing her run. Stewart is a model railway enthusiast at home, but also politically active in his spare time. In 2017, he covered all necessary expenses for a group of children with disabilities — whose parents couldn't raise enough money to travel to Washington, D.C. — to protest a GOP health care bill that included proposed cuts to Medicaid. 'I'm neither a Democrat nor a Republican, but I am a father,' he said at the time. Prince William welcomes latest additions to royal family in rare birthday tribute

Kate Middleton is celebrating her husband Prince William on his 43rd birthday. In a rare and sweet tribute, the Princess of Wales shared a never-before-seen photo of Prince William, as he affectionately posed with the newest additions to their royal family – four adorable puppies born to Orla, the couple's beloved black cocker spaniel. "Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!", the social media caption read with a paw print emoji, as the Prince of Wales embraced the four-legged friends. The affectionate birthday post was signed by Princess Catherine of Wales, 43, and their three children – Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7. Prince William is seen lovingly looking down at one of the puppies in his lap as he is dressed in casual blue denim jeans and a dark green buttoned-up collared shirt. In April, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a heartwarming photo of their pet, Orla, on National Pet Day. "Celebrating the animals who bring so much joy, companionship and love to our lives," the caption read on Instagram. A dog was seen posing in the grass, looking off to the side in the sweet photo. Meanwhile, Prince William's birthday tribute is a rare public declaration of Kate's love and support for her husband. People magazine previously noted that the Prince and Princess of Wales don't typically write personal messages on their social media. Princess Kate's birthday message comes after she unexpectedly pulled out of a scheduled return to Royal Ascot, Fox News Digital confirmed earlier this week. The Princess of Wales was set to appear at the annual horse racing event with her husband on June 18. The mother of three was said to be disappointed not to be there. However, the princess is still trying to find the right balance as she returns to public engagements following her cancer treatment. Princess Kate was originally on the carriage list. However, William was seated with his father, King Charles, and stepmother, Queen Camilla. Kate's mother, Carole Middleton, was pictured arriving at the racetrack. Last year, William attended Royal Ascot solo while Kate was undergoing chemotherapy for an undisclosed form of cancer. His in-laws, Carole and Michael Middleton, were also present. In March 2024, Kate announced in a video she had cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. The revelation came after weeks of speculation about her health and whereabouts. In January of that year, she was hospitalized for unspecified abdominal surgery. In September 2024, Kate announced she had finished her preventative chemotherapy, although she said her path to full recovery would be long and that she would take it day by day.
