Amuné van Rooyen, a grade 4 learner, received the champion award on Book 11. The sharp young mind fought a good battle there. The win made her school and her parents proud. 'When I heard my child's name, I was in tears and screaming with joy. I couldn't be more proud. She worked really hard,' said Nataska van Rooyen, the mother of Amuné. The courageous young mind showcased her skills and determination and brought gold on Book 7. 'We are very proud of La-Rochelle. She loves her maths and has been doing A+ since she was three years old. This is her second year getting gold. Maths is something she loves, and that is never a bad thing. For me, it is nice to see how proud she is of herself because I know how hard she works,' said La-Rochelle Niemand, the mother of La-Rochelle.
