It's the summer of Brad Marchand, and he's making sure the party doesn't stop. After a wild night of celebration with the Florida Panthers following their second straight Stanley Cup victory, Marchand showed up at a Dairy Queen in Sunrise, Florida, Friday morning.
He wasn't just there for dessert, he was there to promote his own Blizzard flavor, 'Chocolate Chirp Cookie Dough'.
Brad Marchand's florida trade continues to pay off
Marchand's Dairy Queen appearance also gave him the opportunity to talk about the move that made it all possible, his late-season trade from the Boston Bruins to the Florida Panthers. The shift stunned hockey fans at the time, but now looks like a masterstroke for both Marchand and Florida.
Not only did the deal give Marchand a real shot at another title, it also unleashed a new, lighter side of the gritty winger.
His off-ice appearances have become increasingly entertaining, but they also show a man finally playing with freedom and joy. During Friday's appearance, Marchand fielded several questions about the trade and hinted he would like to extend his time in Florida.
He is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer after completing an eight-year contract signed with Boston in 2016. Panthers GM Bill Zito was asked if Marchand would return next season.

(Image Source Getty Images) Tyrese Haliburton's timeline went dark after Game 1—but his game lit up. As the Indiana Pacers took a tough early hit in the Finals, Haliburton cut ties with every app on his phone. No more scrolling, no more noise. Just basketball. What followed was a performance that shook up the Thunder and forced a Game 7. And all of it started the moment he logged off. By deleting his Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok accounts, he cut out the noise, allowing him to refresh his mind and body for the tough road ahead. In Game 6, Haliburton—though struggling with a sore right calf—was the key player in the Pacers' commanding 108–91 win against the Thunder. His defensive effort triggered a 30–9 run leading into halftime. He scored 14 points, dished out five assists, and made two steals, highlighted by a vital deflection on Jalen Williams that resulted in a no-look assist to Pascal Siakam. The Pacers forced 21 turnovers and created leads as large as 30 points by the third quarter. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Forget Furosemide, Use This Household Item To Help Drain Edema Fluid WellnessGuide Learn more Undo Despite the Thunder's struggles—Voters' MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored just 21 points and had eight turnovers—Haliburton's composed leadership enabled Indiana to take back control of the series.
