Sunshine, champagne, and sea air set the perfect stage for the Florida Panthers as they celebrated their second consecutive Stanley Cup championship with a massive beachfront parade in Fort Lauderdale.
A crowd of nearly 400,000 filled the sand and streets along A1A to witness the triumphant return of the Panthers — and this time, under clear skies, unlike last year's rain-soaked celebration.

'It's a little better day today than it was last year, but still, this is amazing,' said captain Aleksander Barkov, as he beamed in front of the crowd wearing a shirt featuring teammate Matthew Tkachuk smoking a cigar. The team paraded in style, perched atop double-decker buses and flanked by jubilant fans, many of whom waded into the Atlantic just to get a glimpse of the Cup.
The rally at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park saw the Panthers fully embracing the moment, unapologetically flaunting their back-to-back glory. 'I would like to apologize to absolutely ... nobody because a double champ does whatever ... he wants,' said Tkachuk, drawing a massive roar from the crowd with a nod to UFC star Conor McGregor.
Coach Paul Maurice kept things light and personal, again donning a custom shirt designed by his daughter—this time, featuring his cats Penny and Poppy wearing tiny crowns.
He dubbed this 'the summer of love,' a message echoed by GM Bill Zito, who credited the players and their families for the unity and success: 'It's these players, these coaches … you wouldn't know who the superstar was or who the other guy was.'
Fan chants echoed for forward Sam Bennett to be re-signed, prompting the Conn Smythe winner to close with a playful plea: 'Eight more years, please.' Brad Marchand, a key mid-season addition from Boston, soaked in the love and joked, 'I'm so happy that I don't have to play against these guys anymore.'
Sam Reinhart, who missed last year's celebration due to a wedding, made sure he didn't skip this one. 'The only thing I've heard all day is how this is the best parade that's ever been had in South Florida,' he said, clearly impressed.
As players danced with fans, hoisted the Cup high, and passed cigars around, the Panthers sent one clear message — winning never gets old, and neither does celebrating like kings under the Florida sun.
