A native of India, Sharma brings a wealth of international and domestic experience and a deep-seated passion for culinary excellence to JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. After relocating to the United States in 2009, he attended the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in New York and immediately joined Marriott International following graduation. He held impressive roles at The Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island in Florida and The Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman where he learned to appreciate different cuisines while swiftly moving up the ranks from cook three to chef de cuisine during his 11-year tenure.
In 2022, Sharma took on the role of executive sous chef at JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. His innovative culinary skills and collaborative spirit elevated the guest experience at the property's various restaurants, including a refresh of all dining menus at signature restaurants Lincoln Steakhouse & Bar and Rita's Cantina & Bar along with Hoppin' Jacks at Jackrabbit Pool and Tavern 37 at Camelback Golf Club. Sharma is thrilled to take on his new role as executive chef to curate memorable epicurean experiences for the resort's beloved guests. In his free time, Sharma enjoys traveling and experiencing new cuisines and cultures alongside his wife and two children.
