Photo byAhead of training camp next month, Mahomes took some time to speak out about Kelce. He talked about Kelce's retirement and also what he expects from the longtime star tight end this year.

"I think you have that in the back of your mind. I mean, for anybody that's played a lot of football seasons, there's always a chance," Mahomes said. "If they're going to come back, you have to put in the work. You have to put in the work in the offseason."
He then continued on to look at the 2025 season and what he's expecting from Kelce.
"I expect Travis to be Travis, man. Obviously, the play on the field's going to be high," Mahomes said. "He's going to go out there with the mentality that we're trying to win the Super Bowl this year with us falling short this last year. Then, I think more than anything, it's the leadership that he brings to the building every single day."
Obviously, Mahomes is expecting to have another big season with his close friend and weapon. He's also excited about the rookie class that Kansas City brought in.
"It's kind of cool to see. I don't know if it's like an NIL thing or guys staying in college longer but it's a very mature group," he said.

It will be interesting to see what the upcoming season has in store for Mahomes, Kelce, and the Chiefs. They have the talent to make another run at a Super Bowl.

Kyler Murray finds himself in a QB tier that he can and should disprove with his play in 2025. Yes, it is the season of lists and rankings. CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin ranked and tiered all 32 starting or projected starting quarterbacks around the NFL for 2025. The tiers? As this is a site about the Arizona Cardinals, we want to know where Kyler Murray falls. He was put in the tier for volatile veterans. We're entering Year 7 of the Murray era in Arizona, and no one seems to know whether the former No. 1 pick is past, within or approaching his prime. The quick-footed dual threat can still crack highlight reels with elusive moves and arcing downfield shots, but he's tended to be more volatile than settled as a passer. His 2024 season didn't help. After his return from a torn ACL for the second half of 2023, he was efficient but not spectacular. He was inconsistent last season and eight of his 11 interceptions came in the final seven games, suggesting volatility. Outside of Arizona, this ranking makes sense. If you pay attention to how he plays and the context of some of his inconsistencies (often trying to make up for bad defenses). Murray is truly right on the edge of borderline star and volatile veteran. Opponents view him as an elite playmaker. Murray is truly in a critical year. How he performs this year will more or less determine how he is viewed for the rest of his career.
