Citroen announces benefits of up to ₹2.80 lakh to celebrate 4 years in India
Citroen is marking its fourth year in India with a series of customer-centric initiatives, including significant discounts and the introduction of a more economical version of its popular C3 hatchback. In line with growing demand for cost-effective and environmentally-friendly mobility solutions, Citroen India has launched the CNG variant of the C3 hatchback. Unlike factory-fitted kits, the CNG setup will be retrofitted at authorized Citroen dealerships across the country. These kits have been tested and approved by the company to deliver a fuel efficiency of up to 28.1 km/kg.
The CNG option will be available for select trims of the C3 — specifically, the Live, Feel, Feel(O), and Shine variants. All these models are powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The CNG upgrade is priced at ₹93,000, and while online bookings are not available, interested buyers can approach their local Citroen dealers to get the retrofit done.

Citroen has ensured that the addition of the CNG kit does not compromise the core performance or comfort that the C3 is known for. A dedicated switch allows drivers to easily toggle between petrol and CNG modes, offering added flexibility. Although the installation of the CNG tank results in a reduction of boot space, Citroen has engineered solutions to maintain the hatchback's drivability. The vehicle comes equipped with specially-tuned rear shock absorbers, reinforced suspension springs, and an anti-roll bar to manage the added weight of the CNG system.

Importantly, the CNG installation does not obstruct access to the spare wheel, highlighting Citroen's attention to detail in balancing practicality with performance. After the US airstrikes on its nuclear installations, Iran is considering closing the Strait of Hormuz, one of the most strategically vital chokepoints in the world, and any blockade by Tehran would pose serious risks for Europe, EuroNews reported on Sunday. Airstrikes using aircraft and drones could disable navigation or radar equipment at major shipping ports in the region. Europe imports oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Gulf states--Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE-- much of which travels through the Strait. If Iran blocks it, global oil prices would spike, and Europe could face energy shortages, especially in countries dependent on Middle Eastern fuel, as per EuroNews.

Following the application process, the first merit list will be published on July 17, while counselling and admissions based on the merit list will be conducted from July 18 to 20. The courses are being offered under the Centre for Indian Foreign Languages (CIFL), a specialised unit within SOL. This year, certificate-level programmes are available, and from the next academic year, diploma-level admissions will also be introduced, offering a pathway for students to deepen their proficiency. The eight languages being offered are Japanese, Korean, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Mandarin (Chinese), and Russian — languages that are increasingly sought after in global job markets and academic circles. "Recognising the diverse needs of learners, especially working professionals and college students, the classes will be conducted in a hybrid format, combining both offline and online sessions. Moreover, most classes will be scheduled on weekends, ensuring flexibility without compromising on the quality of instruction," said an official. The academic delivery of these programmes is overseen by faculty from Department of Romance Studies and Department of East Asian Studies, and the courses are approved by University Grants Commission. Admissions are open to all candidates who completed their Class XII education. The Mega Plan Dassault Aviation and Reliance Aerostructures formed a joint venture (DRAL) in 2017. This venture immediately commenced operations at a new manufacturing facility in Nagpur, India. The facility will serve as Dassault Aviation's first Falcon aircraft assembly center outside of France, specializing in the Falcon 6X and Falcon 8X programs. What Did The Company Say? According to Eric Trappier, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dassault Aviation, 'This new agreement once again signals our firm intention to fulfil our 'Make in India' commitments and contribute to India's recognition as a key partner in the global aeronautical supply chain. This agreement will make the joint venture the first center of excellence for Falcon assembly outside France. This will eventually enable the establishment of the final assembly line for the Falcon 2000.' Reliance Group Founder Chairman Anil Ambani stated that the partnership with the French company is a milestone for the Reliance Group. 'Our partnership with Dassault Aviation is a milestone in the journey of the Reliance Group, as we work together to firmly establish India as an important hub in the global aeronautical value chain,' Ambani said. India's first domestically assembled Falcon 2000 is projected to take its maiden flight by 2028. This follows an announcement detailing the relocation and modernization of assembly operations, intended to meet increasing global demand. The expansion is expected to create hundreds of engineering and technical jobs over the next ten years.
