Welcome To The Jungle shoot halted due to Pahalgam attacks, not financial troubles: ‘Schedule will begin post-rains, but not in Kashmir', reveals source
After Paresh Rawal's exit from Hera Pheri 3, another Akshay Kumar-led multi-starrer, Welcome To The Jungle, has reportedly hit a rough patch during production. There were reports that the film's shoot was halted due to financial constraints. However, a source close to the film confirmed to SCREEN that the shoot of the film, the third installment of the popular Welcome franchise, has been halted due to different reasons. The film produced by Firoz Nadiadwala was supposed to have its next schedule in Kashmir, and the temporary halt is due to a location change.
As per the report, it was revealed that the film has faced multiple shoot cancellations over the past few months owing to financial and logistical hurdles, which have severely impacted the production schedule. However, a source close to the film's production has now shared, '70% of the shoot of Welcome to the Jungle is already done. The remaining 30% was to be scheduled in Kashmir, but because of the unfortunate Pahalgam attack, the plan got pushed. The entire schedule was locked, which included helicopters, over 250 horses with horsemen, and 1200 junior artists. But, everything is on track, all 34 actors are excited and set to commence the last marathon schedule. This schedule will begin post-rains at a different location.'
Earlier, the makers had released a promo clip introducing a star-studded cast that included Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharib Hashmi, Inaamulhaq, Zakir Hussain, and Yashpal Sharma. The film also features leading ladies Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, and Vrihi Kodvara. However, it was later revealed that Sanjay Dutt is no longer a part of the film due to scheduling conflicts.

'Paresh Rawal is such a talented actor, 99 percent of the industry would want to work with him,' says Kussh S Sinha about directing the actor in his first film
Kussh S Sinha is set to make his directorial debut with 'Nikita Roy' set to release on June 27. The film stars his sister Sonakshi Sinha in the titular role. It also stars Paresh Rawal and Arjun Rampal. In a recent chat with ETimes, when asked how it was for him to have such talented actors just on his first film, Kussh said, "A lot of it had to do with luck and strength of the story. With Sonakshi, there were multiple times when we wanted to collaborate, but it didn't work out. But with this story, she saw the value of this character Nikita Roy. It was a smart, strong, independent character." He also revealed why in his mind, there were very few actors who could play Nikita. Apart from Sonakshi being his sister, Kussh considers her as a great actor. "She has always been very good. 'Lootera' which was her 2nd or 3rd film but she was so good, of course, Vikramaditya Motwane had a lot to do with it. But she does have something special. Which is also why I wanted to work with her in Nikita Roy. An actor who is willing to put in those emotions, willing to look gritty. In my mind, there were very few actors who could do it." Talking about Paresh Rawal amidst all the buzz around the actor with regards to 'Hera Pheri 3', Kussh said, "With Paresh ji again, I feel extremely fortunate that we just had to have two meetings with him and he was on board. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Florida New Policy for Senior Drivers The Quote General Learn More Undo That gave me confidence when he came on board. He's spoilt for choice. Because Paresh ji is such a capable actor, any director would want to work with him. 99 percent of the industry would want to work with Paresh Rawal ji. " Ask him if it's easy for a director when there are such actors or is it more challenging, Kussh said, "With regards to getting the performance, it definitely makes it easier. It's challenging but it's a good challenge. You have to make sure you are communicating with them the way you need to. You have to evolve and up your game in order to communicate with actors of such caliber."

Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection day 1 early estimate: Aamir Khan's film crosses Taare Zameen Par's opening figures
Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection day 1 early estimate: Aamir Khan and Genelia D'Souza's much-awaited film Sitaare Zameen Par finally hit theatres on June 20. After opening to positive reviews from critics and the audience, the movie is off to a decent start at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk's early estimates, Sitaare Zameen Par has collected around Rs. 8.77 crore India net on its first day in all languages. A spiritual sequel of Aamir Khan's 2007 hit film Taare Zameen Par, the film had a theatre occupancy of 17.73% in Hindi on Friday, with morning shows at 16.74%, afternoon shows at 16.25%, and evening shows standing at 20.21%. The highest occupancy was in the Jaipur region at 29.33 %. However, the film may gain momentum over the opening weekend due to positive word of mouth, following a trajectory similar to Taare Zameen Par. The 2007 drama collected Rs 2.62 crore on its opening day, but it ultimately became a box office hit. An excerpt from SCREEN's Sitaare Zameen Par review read, 'This film wouldn't have worked as well as it does if Aamir hadn't been fully committed to putting himself out there as a hero-who-is-a-jerk, letting us walk past the annoyingly noble Lal Singh Chadha character which never hit any of its marks. This is a film whose express intention is to normalise 'everyone's normal'. It doesn't shy away from being message-y –sab ka apna apna normal hota hai—but it is not, praise be, preachy.' Directed by RS Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Sitaare Zameen Par also features 10 debutant actors – Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
