Acne Studios Taps Moomin and Friends on Another Collaborative Capsule
Summary
Like many of us,Acne Studioscan't get enough of Tove Jansson'sMoomins.
After an initial collaboration back in November of 2024, the fashion house is reconnecting with Jansson's characters for another full-length Fall/Winter 2025 collaborative range.
This go around, the pair, who share Scandinavian roots, presents a 16-piece unisex lineup of both apparel and accessories, spanning jersey, denim and knitwear stamped with sketches of the animated Moomins gang.
Arriving as the latest release in Acne Studio's 'Face' series, the extensive release comes dipped in a vibrant pallate of colors, leaning into the whimsical aura of the magical Moomins land. Other characters – Little My, Snorkmaiden, Stinky and the Hattifatteners – materialize in the form of embroidered patches and printed graphics, landing on some of Acne's signature silhouettes such as the brand's 1981 jeans and striped shirting and sweaters.
Footwear rounds out the release, with a pair of classic lace-up sneakers stamped with Acne's Face logo and further elevated with removable metal Moomin patches.
The full Acne Studios x Moomins drop lands online at Acne's officialwebstoreon May 28, followed by an in-person drop at all Acne Studios stores worldwide on May 30.

Halsey and Lauren Jauregui Perform 'Strangers' Together for the First Time in 7 Years
In case you needed an update, Halsey and Lauren Jauregui are far from strangers. The singers, who both openly identify as bisexual, reunited to perform their 2017 hit, 'Strangers,' for the first time in 7 years during Halsey's For My Last Trick Tour stop at Chicago's Huntington Bank Pavilion on June 17. As proven by clips of their performance, there is truly no better way to celebrate Pride month—and, of course, fans went wild on social media once they surfaced. 'ARE U JOKING,' one fan wrote, while another added, 'Can't believe i'd live to see the day that they would sing this live together again.' This marks their first joint performance of the song since June 2018, when the Fifth Harmony alum kickstarted her solo career opening for Halsey on her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour. The song, which details the push-and-pull of a shifty relationship dynamic between two women, became an instant classic in the LGBTQ+ community when it was released. At the time, Halsey shared why she tapped Lauren for the track during an interview on The Zach Sang Show, saying, 'Lauren is a friend of mine and she is openly bisexual, and so am I. Our fans, really this past year, have just really expressed so much support and so much love and indication that they relate to us and that they are happy to us be outspoken about it.' 'I just love that Lauren and I are two women who have a mainstream pop presence doing a love song for the LGBT community,' Halsey said at the time. 'It's rare to see it from a girl's perspective.' The About-Face founder, who's non-binary and uses both she/her and they/them pronouns, also revealed that 'Strangers' was the first song in which she openly used female pronouns. 'It is the first song that I ever wrote where I openly used female pronouns and I have songs that are about women that I have been with but I was 19 and I tried to keep [my debut album] Badlands gender neutral,' she said. She continued, 'I was thinking to myself, 'If I want this song to be believable, it needs to be real.' So I'm not going to put a girl on this song to sing who's straight. I'm just not going to do it. So I reached out to Lauren, she came in and cut the vocal and it sounds awesome.' We can fully confirm it still holds up all these years later.

2 Twin Cities Restaurants and Chefs Win James Beard Awards
Last night, the James Beard Foundation announced the winners of its Restaurant and Chef Awards, with two Twin Cities restaurants taking home awards for Best New Restaurant and Best Chef: Midwest. The Monday, June 16, ceremony at the Lyric Opera of Chicago also included new categories to honor the beverage industry, including Best New Bar, Outstanding Professional in Beverage Service, and Outstanding Professional in Cocktail Service. Find the full list of the 2025 James Beard Award winners here. Karyn Tomlinson, of Myriel in St. Paul, won in the Best Chef: Midwest category. Tomlinson quickly became known for her 'grandma cooking nouveau' style at Myriel after opening in 2021, combining her Scandinavian/Minnesotan heritage and French culinary training. Alluding to that 'grandma chic' cooking, Tomlinson dressed up in the same coral dress her grandmother wore when she was crowned the 'dazzle corn queen' in 1941, part of a celebration marking the University of Minnesota's efforts to identify cold-tolerant corn crops for Minnesota. She ended her acceptance speech with some Midwest pride, saying 'the Midwest is beautiful, the Midwest is diverse, the Midwest is tenacious and strong.' Bûcheron won the Best New Restaurant category, with co-owner Jeanie Janas Ritter accepting the Kingfield bistro's national award. Bûcheron was one of 10 nominees in the category, and the only restaurant from the Midwest and Great Lakes regions. (The only other Minnesota restaurant ever nominated in the category was Owamni, which brought home the award in 2022.) 'It's the neighborhood restaurant we always wanted in our neighborhood,' Jeanie Ritter said during her acceptance speech, adding that some of her guests have come out to Chicago to celebrate with them tonight and thanking them 'for making it possible to do what we love.' She and her husband Adam Ritter spoke to Eater earlier this month about how they built the 'Midwest French' restaurant so they could spend more time with their two toddlers. Fresh off the stage, Ritter shared with Eater that several customers and friends joined her in Chicago for the awards. 'We had regulars fly here and get tickets to be with us. We have my dear mentor who just passed away, her husband and best friend surprised us, which is just — I'm still trying to wrap my head around it,' she said. 'We have the best community, and we are so grateful for them.' As for what she and Bûcheron's supporters would be doing on Monday night to celebrate: 'Oh man, hopefully we're not going to get as drunk as we did last night, but it might be unavoidable. We're having fun.' In her speech, Ritter said that, 'Minnesota cuisine is defined by the ingredients rather than the technique.' It was a sentiment echoed by Tomlinson during a post-win interview in the press room. She was proud of both Myriel and Bûcheron's wins as both are 'proudly Minnesotan and Midwestern and are exploring that in different ways in our connections with farmers.' She hopes that the Midwest will be recognized more in the future for its diversity and the many cultures that define the cuisine of the heartland. Bar Brava did not take home a Beard in the new Outstanding Wine and Other Beverages Program. (Charleston in Baltimore brought home the win.) At the Media Awards on Saturday, June 14, Vinai chef Yia Vang and the Twin Cities PBS producers of Relish received an award in the Lifestyle Visual Media category. Kim Kardashian Doubles Up on Crocodile Print in Cabo
Kim Kardashian is saying 'see you later, alligator' to quiet luxury. Over the weekend, the Skims founder traveled south to Cabo San Lucas ahead of her daughter North West's 12th birthday. While the crew celebrated on a yacht, Kardashian embraced the semiaquatic in multiple iterations of crocodile print. The reality star and shapewear mogul layered a flowy gray Acne Studios button-up over her bikini top, which she wore knotted at the waist.
