Man found dead on rural Perthshire road named as tribute paid
Emergency services were called to the Dunning to Kinross road, between Dunning and Path of Condie, at around 7am on Friday after the body of a 29-year-old man was discovered.
Two men, aged 36 and 42, have been arrested and charged in connection with the death and are due to appear in Perth Sheriff Court on Monday.
Police Scotland Tayside said the death is being treated as murder and extensive enquiries are ongoing.

A GoFundMe page has been set up by Speedie's family to help with funeral costs.
A tribute reads: 'Our son Stephen Speedie sadly passed away suddenly on Friday, June 13.
'The funds will be used for funeral costs and to give him the best send off and would help us massively.
'Stephen sadly leaves behind his beautiful two-year-old daughter, who he adored dearly.'
Pete Wishart, MP for Perth and North Perthshire, paid tribute to Speedie as he said: 'I was deeply saddened to learn of the death of a man found near Path of Condie, now named as Stephen Speedie.
'My thoughts are very much with Stephen's loved ones during this most awful time for them.
'This will have also been hugely unsettling news for local residents, but it has now confirmed that the incident is being treated as isolated, and there is not believed to be any outstanding threat to the wider community.
'My sincere thanks go to the police for their swift and extensive response.'
Meanwhile, Jim Fairlie MSP for Perthshire South Kinross-shire, added: 'My thoughts are with Stephen's family and friends at what must be a very difficult time.'
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'Around 7am on Friday, June 13, 2025, we were called to the death of a 29-year-old man on the Dunning to Kinross road in Perth.
'Two men, aged 36 and 42, were arrested and charged in connection with the death.
'They are due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Monday, June 16.
'A 40-year-old woman was also arrested and has been released pending further investigation.
'Enquiries remain ongoing.'

It is understood that on Friday, June 20 Jacob Rutkowski was at the river Tees in County Durham when the tragedy took place. It is believed he entered the water in Gainford but began to struggle, sparking a huge emergency response. After a 999 call was made at around 2.30pm the air ambulance, mountain rescue crews, police helicopter, paramedics and fire crews all rushed to the rural village. Drones and rescue dogs were also used in the search in a desperate bid to save Jacob. Despite their best efforts Jacob was unable to be saved and several hours later police Durham Police confirmed that they had pulled a body from the river. Their statement on Friday night read: "We're sorry to report that a body has been found in the river at Gainford this evening. It is believed a 20-year-old man had entered the water this afternoon and got into difficulty. "Formal identification has yet to take place but the man's family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. We would like to thank all our emergency services partners for their assistance." While police have yet to formally identify the body as the 20-year-old from from Darlington, County Durham, a GoFundMe page set up by Jacob's loved ones suggests it was Jacob. The page was set up to raise funds for his funeral and a heartbreaking message shared to the page read: "As many of you have already heard, our family experienced the unimaginable. This devastating loss has left our entire family heartbroken beyond words. He was a son, a brother, a loving boyfriend — and above all, a beautiful soul taken far too soon. "We are raising funds to help with funeral and memorial costs, and to support the family during this painful time. Anything you can give will help ease the burden and allow us to focus on grieving and honouring his memory. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts." Families to march against knife crime through streets of Glasgow
Starting at 1pm, the Parents Against Knives march will be joined by the family of Kory McCrimmon, who died after an attack involving a bladed weapon on May 31 2024. His family said the 16-year-old's life 'will not be in vain' as they urged others to join the march.
