Surprise iPad A16 deal helps you save on this 256GB variant
Did you know Amazon had a pretty awesome $149 discount on the 10th Gen iPad? Well, it did, but the tablet sold out in its Silver color. Does that mean you can no longer score a 256GB entry-level iPad at a lower price? Not at all! In fact, the newer iPad A16 is currently 13% off — which, believe it or not, is a rare bargain.
$61 off (13%)
How would you like to buy a base iPad for everyday entertainment at a rare discount? If that sounds tempting, now's the time to buy the iPad A16 at Amazon. Currently, the 256GB variant in Silver sells for 13% off, which isn't an offer you can see every other day. Buy at Amazon With a standard price of around $450, the 256GB iPad in Silver is now available for just under $390, which saves you $61. In case you're wondering, we've seen just one more substantial discount so far, and it didn't even happen on Amazon. Usually, the device sells for about $50 off in all storage and connectivity models, so the current bargain is worth your attention. With its A16 chip, the latest iPad model is much more powerful than its predecessor, and it easily leaves the Google Pixel Tablet in the dust. You can expect excellent daily performance and some gaming potential — at that price, what more could you ask for?
As for the display, it's an 11-inch IPS LCD Liquid Retina panel with a fairly sharp resolution and great color accuracy. The most outdated part about it is the 60Hz refresh rate, but at least this isn't the only Apple tablet stuck at such unimpressive numbers (ahem, iPad Air M3). Compared to the previous model, the 2025 base iPad has a slightly larger 7,698mAh battery. We've tested its endurance in various scenarios and think it's a great pick for iOS-loving power users. As noted in our iPad A16 review, it easily lasts over 10 hours of continuous browsing and more than seven hours of gaming.
So, what do you think? A $60 discount might not sound like much, we agree, but it's still a better-than-average savings opportunity. If you need a contemporary iPad that offers plenty of value, this might just be the one to buy.

Rare deal slashes the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 to their best price
Prime Day 2025 is still some time away, but Amazon is already spicing things up for Google fans! The Pixel Buds Pro 2 have dropped to their lowest price on Amazon and are $50 off their original ~$230 price. $50 off (22%) Amazon launches an ultra-rare promo on the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 in Peony that you wouldn't want to miss. Possibly for a limited time, the earbuds are available at a $50 discount, which brings them to their best price. Act fast and grab your pair for less with this amazing bargain. Buy at Amazon This is a super-rare promo, by the way. In fact, we haven't seen a $50 price cut since Amazon Spring Sale, which was three months ago. Just a heads up—you can only buy the Peony model for $50 off; all other colorways remain at their standard price (for now). Don't miss out and grab your savings before it's too their small and ultra-lightweight design, these buddies enable all-day comfort without any fuss. They're IP54-rated, too, so you can wear them on your casual runs, but it's best to refrain from using them during heavy workout sessions at the gym. Audio performance is just as splendid as the design. In our Pixel Buds Pro 2 review, we've praised the balanced tuning, and for a good reason. Out of the box, they offer silky-smooth highs, punchy but not overwhelming bass, and wide mids. Simply put, these bad boys sound great no matter what you throw at them—and that should be more than enough for most users. In terms of ANC performance, they do a good job of keeping low-end hums and drums out of your listening sessions. However, you can occasionally hear high-pitched noises, especially when no audio is playing. With a battery life of up to eight hours with ANC, the Buds Pro 2 easily beat many of the best earbuds on the market. For context, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro only give you up to six hours of playtime with ANC. With the charging case, the Google earbuds provide a total listening time of up to 30 hours. Now, that's a stellar result however you look at it. Ultimately, the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 check a lot of boxes—awesome design, excellent sound, superb battery life. The best part? You can get them at their best price at Amazon, but you might want to hurry. This promo might not last long after all. Secure your connection now at a bargain price! T-Mobile's purchase of UScellular assets is delayed thanks to shorthanded FCC
When T-Mobile agreed in May 2024 to acquire UScellular's wireless customers, retail stores, and spectrum assets owned by the nation's fifth-largest wireless carrier for $4.4 billion in cash and debt, the thinking was that the deal would close in the middle of 2025. Well, perhaps you haven't noticed but we will hit the mid-way point of the year on July 2nd at 12 noon, and the transaction still hasn't received regulatory approval from the FCC. The FCC currently has only two sitting commissioners including Chairman Brendan Carr and Anna M. Gomez. A quorum of at least three members is required before the FCC is allowed to resume normal operations. In case you're wondering the FCC is made up of five commissioners and no more than three can come from one political party. Each commissioner is appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. The commissioners are appointed to serve for a five-year term. Since no mergers or acquisitions can be approved by the FCC without a quorum, Telephone and Data Systems, the company that is selling the UScellular assets, and T-Mobile , the buyer, are both unable to complete the transaction. T-Mobile is paying $2.4 billion in cash and will take over responsibility for $2 billion in UScellular debt. The deal also gives T-Mobile 30% of UScellular's spectrum assets including airwaves in the 600 MHz, 700 MHz A Block, PCS, AWS, 2.5 GHz, and 24 GHz (mmWave) frequencies. The latest thinking has the T-Mobile-UScellular deal closing in August or September. The delay was caused when Democrat Commissioner Geoffrey Starks and Republican Commissioner Nathan Simington both left their posts in June. This left the agency one commissioner short of the necessary quorum. The sale of USM's spectrum to AT&T and Verizon is also on hold until the FCC regains its quorum. That could take place on July 1st when Commissioner Olivia Trusty will start her term as an FCC commissioner. Trusty was approved by the Senate 53-45 on June 17th. Her presence on the FCC will give the Republicans a 2-1 advantage at the FCC. Once the FCC does regain its quorum, the agency will be able to vote on whether to approve T-Mobile 's purchase of UScellular's assets and USM's sale of spectrum to AT&T and Verizon . Considering that T-Mobile received FCC approval for its $26 billion acquisition of Sprint during the first Trump administration, there shouldn't be an issue getting the UScellular transaction to close. Apple will reportedly use this tool inside the iPhone 17 Pro models to beat the heat
If you believe that where there's smoke there's fire, it probably means a lot that at the start of this year, we told you about another report stating that Apple would be adding a vapor chamber to keep the internals of the iPhone 17 series nice and cool thus preventing the A19 and A19 Pro application processors (APs) from causing the phones to overheat. Tipster Majin Bu has yet another vapor chamber rumor to tell us about and we will get to that in a second. First, you should know that currently, Apple uses Graphene sheets to draw heat away from the A18/A18 Pro chipsets on the iPhone 16 series and move it toward cooler parts of the phone. Apple also replaced the foil covering the batteries powering the iPhone 15 line with a metal covering for the cells used to power the iPhone 16 series. This is another way to draw heat away from the battery and spread it out through the inside of the phone. Apple also tends to rely on the metal and glass body of the phone itself to cool it down internally. A thermal plate using a copper surface could be used to distribute heat inside the iPhone 17 line. | Image credit-Majin Bu The latest rumor, again, this one from tipster Majin Bu, claims that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will each use a vapor chamber which is a small sealed metallic plate or chamber with a small amount of liquid inside it. When the device heats up, the liquid in the chamber evaporates. The vapor moves across the device returning to a liquid state when it is cooler inside the phone. This constant cycle allows temperatures to drop quickly allowing the device to cool down without having to resort to throttling the performance of the chipsets. Majin Bu, who has a mixed record when it comes to accuracy, says that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max both face a higher degree of thermal issues. That's because the two models feature a more advanced and powerful application processor and display features. The non Pro models, the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air, will use traditional methods to dissipate the heat. If the vapor chamber does its job, users should notice the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max remaining cool to the touch even during extended use. For example, a long video game playing session would typically heat up an iPhone. Secure your connection now at a bargain price!
