Entry to the library and exhibitions is free, with select workshops requiring prior registration.The Cultural Foundation also offers a wide range of paid art classes in painting, ceramics, sewing, and design that cater to the creative minds of all ages.Across town at Manarat Al Saadiyat, the Middle East debut of "Harry Potter: The Exhibition" opens on July 25 and runs through September 14. The exhibition brings the beloved franchise to life with original props, costumes, and interactive experiences for fans, young and old.Currently on display is "Layered Medium: We Are in Open Circuits", a landmark collaboration with the Seoul Museum of Art that explores the legacy of Korea's radical contemporary art scene.Daily art studio sessions also continue at Manarat Al Saadiyat, with a full schedule of workshops and drop-in classes for all age groups.Art lovers can retreat into immersive spaces like teamLab Phenomena in Saadiyat Cultural District. This vast, multi-sensory art destination merges light, sound, and movement to produce artworks that shift and evolve with the environment.Louvre Abu Dhabi is also offering plenty to keep visitors engaged - children enjoy free summer access, while general admission is 30% off online, excluding select seasonal activities.Families can visit the Children's Museum's latest exhibition, "Picturing the Cosmos", a space-themed journey that explores how artists from different cultures interpret the universe.For older children and teens, the museum's ArtLab summer programme returns with multi-day workshops in July and August. Participants will explore ancient languages and symbolism, inspired by the story of the Tower of Babel, through collaborative, hands-on art projects.In July, the museum will unveil a new 30-minute virtual reality experience that allows guests to travel through time and visit historical empires, from Imperial Rome to Mughal India.Meanwhile, WTC Abu Dhabi has launched a seven-month programme of weekly events and entertainment for all ages.Movie nights take over the public square every Tuesday evening with family-friendly screenings and free popcorn. Appointed by an Emiri decree from His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Rashid Al Sharar founded and led the Sharjah Center for Popular Poetry, which he operated for eleven years. Under his leadership, the center became a hub for nurturing poetic talent and safeguarding the region's oral traditions. Today, it continues that legacy under the name Al Hira Literary Council, still echoing with the voice and vision Al Sharar instilled. For nearly four decades, Rashid Al Sharar has been a prominent producer and presenter of cultural and poetry programs across various platforms, bringing the beauty of verse to homes across the Gulf. His impact extended into print media as well, where he served as editor of literary and poetry sections in several newspapers and magazines, including his most recent role at Kul Al Usra magazine. His contributions have not gone unnoticed. Over the years, he has been awarded numerous medals and honors, a testament to his role in enriching Arab culture. Among the most prestigious was an award bestowed upon him by the late Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, recognizing his lifelong dedication to literature and cultural preservation. Beyond the written and spoken word, Rashid Al Sharar's lyrical genius has reached millions through songs performed by major Arab artists. Voices like Mohammed Abdo, Mohammed Omar, Mehad Hamad, and Aydah Al Menhali have brought his poetry to the musical stage, blending heritage with melody in a way that continues to captivate listeners across generations. At the heart of this experience is a global collection of more than 200,000 drawings till today from over 152 countries, a visual testament to the universal yearning for peace. This monumental initiative stems from a decade-long movement led by the Association Colors for Peace. Over the past ten years, children aged 4 to 12 from every continent have contributed their visions of peace, resulting in one of the world's most extensive children's art archives dedicated to harmony and understanding. Founder Aurela Cuku, whose vision brought the World Park for Peace to life, expressed the deeper mission behind the project. 'In a time when the world is seeking answers, we are choosing to listen to the quiet voices of children. These are voices that imagine a world without war, without fear, and without division,' said Cuku. 'The World Park for Peace is not just an exhibition; it is a call to action. It is a tangible space where nations connect without borders, where art becomes diplomacy, and where children lead the way toward a peaceful tomorrow.' The transformation of the House of Peace honors Dubai's heritage while creating a global dialogue rooted in innocence, creativity, and sustainable values.
