Inflection Resources to Acquire Portfolio of Australian Copper-Gold Projects from Newmont Corporation

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 16, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Inflection Resources Ltd. (CSE: AUCU / OTCQB: AUCUF / FSE: 5VJ) (the 'Company' or 'Inflection') is pleased to announce it has entered into definitive agreement dated June 13, 2025 to acquire an 100% interest in a portfolio of Australian copper-gold exploration projects in New South Wales and the Northern Territory from subsidiaries of Newmont Corporation ('Newmont').
Summary Highlights:
Alistair Waddell, Inflection's President and CEO, states: 'We are pleased to announce the acquisition of this high-potential project portfolio, which represents the culmination of an extensive evaluation process. The Tennant East and Bell River projects meet our rigorous selection criteria, particularly regarding the scale and quality of individual exploration targets and concepts. These new projects complement our existing New South Wales portfolio and will be explored in parallel with our current AngloGold Ashanti-funded exploration program. We look forward to applying our systematic, systems-thinking exploration approach to unlock the potential of these projects once the transaction is completed.'
Bell River Project – New South Wales:
The Bell River tenement (~115 km²) is located approximately 65 km north of Newmont's Cadia mine and 23 km south of the town of Wellington, New South Wales within the Molong Belt of the Macquarie Arc (Figure 1). The Macquarie Arc is the most fertile porphyry copper-gold terrane in Australia, comprising the Junee-Narromine Volcanic Belt which hosts Evolution Mining's Northparkes and Cowal mines and the Molong Volcanic Belt which hosts the Bell River project and Newmont's Cadia mine.
The Bell River tenement is largely comprised of the calc-alkaline Mid-Ordovician Fairbridge Volcanics and Oakdale Formation comprising of basaltic to andesitic tuffs, breccias, lavas, latites, and minor sedimentary rocks and limestones which host Alkane Resources Ltd.'s Boda-Kaiser porphyry systems 40 km to the north
Reconnaissance mapping and geochemical and spectral surveys by the previous owners have identified significant zones of advanced argillic alteration at several prospects, which are interpreted by Inflection to represent relic porphyry-related lithocaps. At a prospect referred to as Bakers Swamp, the interpreted lithocap is bordered by a zone of propylitic alteration to the west and south and elevated As-Mo-Ag-Ba-Sb-As-S-Se in soil samples. Locally surface rock sampling of intensely silicified andesitic volcanics returned gold values up to 40.8 g/t and 1% copper.
At the Bellevue prospect, outcropping silica ridges bordered by pyrophyllite-paragonite-muscovite alteration are accompanied by sporadic outcrops of quartz-chalcopyrite-pyrite cemented hydrothermal breccias. The Bakers Swamp prospect is defined by a broad zone of silica-clay-goethite-limonite alteration that is coincident with a 1.5 km wide aeromagnetic low and copper-in soil anomalism. Mineral assemblages typical of advanced argillic alteration (dickite-alunite-pyrophyllite-zunyite) have been identified by previous explorers.
These alteration assemblages are well recognized as representing the upper levels of magmatic-hydrothermal systems and are noted in many porphyry deposits globally. Previous explorers effectively defined the alteration but did not drill test the potential of these zones, leaving significant potential for discovery of copper-gold mineralization at depth.

Tennant East Project – Northern Territory:
The Tennant East project is highly prospective for large-scale IOCG style mineralization. The project comprises twelve individual exploration licenses totalling approximately 4,200 km² located approximately 180 km east of the town of Tennant Creek in Australia's Northern Territory (Figure 2). The project is easily accessible and located on and adjacent to the Barkly Highway, which runs from Tennant Creek to Mount Isa in western Queensland. All targets occur under relatively shallow post-mineral sedimentary cover interpreted to be less than 150 metres thick.
The exploration licenses were initially staked by Newcrest Mining as part of a country-scale targeting exercise and only received cursory exploration that returned encouraging early results, including the drilling of thirteen holes into a wide variety of geophysical features.
Figure 2: Location map of the Tennant East exploration licenses and major copper-gold and gold mines
IOCG deposits represent expressions of large crustal-scale alteration events driven by intrusive activity and are among the world's most significant sources of copper, gold, uranium and critical commodities making them exceptionally valuable mineral systems that often support large-scale, long-life mining operations.
The largest known deposit of this type is Olympic Dam, located 560 km north of Adelaide, South Australia with other Australian examples being Prominent Hill, Carrapateena, Ernest Henry and the Tennant Creek district. Other notable global examples include Candelaria in Chile and Salobo in Brazil.
These deposits are characterized by an association of copper, gold and uranium with highly elevated iron oxides (hematite and magnetite). The deposits are typically associated with large scale hydrothermal alteration, brecciation and mineralisation controlled by deep-seated faults. These deposits are highly amenable to cost-effective geophysical exploration due to their close association with magnetite and hematite.
Inflection's exploration strategy will involve targeting thorough systematic review of previous exploration data, detailed geological interpretation and development of integrated geological, geochemical and geophysical data.
Further details regarding the individual targets will be released once the titles have been transferred to Inflection.
Newmont Agreement Terms:
Bell River Agreement Terms: Inflection will acquire 100% interest in the Bell River project by issuing Newmont 1,000,000 common shares of the Company. Inflection also agrees to pay Newmont a one-time payment of AUD$2.5M upon completion of a JORC or NI43-101 compliant Pre-Feasibility Study and AUD$5.0M upon commencement of commercial production. Newmont shall retain a 2% net smelter return ('NSR') royalty on the project, of which Inflection may purchase 1% NSR for AUD$5.0M at any time.
Tennant East Agreement Terms: Inflection will acquire 100% interest in the Tennant East project by issuing Newmont 250,000 common shares of the Company and reimbursement of the 2025-26 tenement renewal fees. Newmont shall retain a 1.5% NSR on the project, of which Inflection may purchase 0.5% NSR for fair market value after completion of a NI43-101 compliant Pre-Feasibility Study.

Investing in Gowing Bros (ASX:GOW) five years ago would have delivered you a 75% gain

If you want to compound wealth in the stock market, you can do so by buying an index fund. But in our experience, buying the right stocks can give your wealth a significant boost. For example, the Gowing Bros. Limited (ASX:GOW) share price is 51% higher than it was five years ago, which is more than the market average. In comparison, the share price is down 3.6% in a year. So let's investigate and see if the longer term performance of the company has been in line with the underlying business' progress. This technology could replace computers: discover the 20 stocks are working to make quantum computing a reality. Gowing Bros isn't currently profitable, so most analysts would look to revenue growth to get an idea of how fast the underlying business is growing. Generally speaking, companies without profits are expected to grow revenue every year, and at a good clip. That's because fast revenue growth can be easily extrapolated to forecast profits, often of considerable size. In the last 5 years Gowing Bros saw its revenue grow at 0.2% per year. Put simply, that growth rate fails to impress. The modest growth is probably broadly reflected in the share price, which is up 9%, per year over 5 years. The business could be one worth watching but we generally prefer faster revenue growth. You can see how earnings and revenue have changed over time in the image below (click on the chart to see the exact values). We consider it positive that insiders have made significant purchases in the last year. Even so, future earnings will be far more important to whether current shareholders make money. Dive deeper into the earnings by checking this interactive graph of Gowing Bros' earnings, revenue and cash flow. When looking at investment returns, it is important to consider the difference between total shareholder return (TSR) and share price return. The TSR incorporates the value of any spin-offs or discounted capital raisings, along with any dividends, based on the assumption that the dividends are reinvested. So for companies that pay a generous dividend, the TSR is often a lot higher than the share price return. As it happens, Gowing Bros' TSR for the last 5 years was 75%, which exceeds the share price return mentioned earlier. This is largely a result of its dividend payments! Investors in Gowing Bros had a tough year, with a total loss of 0.7% (including dividends), against a market gain of about 13%. Even the share prices of good stocks drop sometimes, but we want to see improvements in the fundamental metrics of a business, before getting too interested. Longer term investors wouldn't be so upset, since they would have made 12%, each year, over five years. It could be that the recent sell-off is an opportunity, so it may be worth checking the fundamental data for signs of a long term growth trend. I find it very interesting to look at share price over the long term as a proxy for business performance. But to truly gain insight, we need to consider other information, too. Take risks, for example - Gowing Bros has 4 warning signs (and 3 which can't be ignored) we think you should know about. There are plenty of other companies that have insiders buying up shares. Peter Schiff Says He 'Gets Bitcoin' But Not USD-Pegged Stablecoins, Floats Gold-Backed Token Plan

Peter Schiff, vocal proponent of gold and a longtime critic of cryptocurrencies and bitcoin BTC, said he intends to launch his own gold-backed token while taking a dig at the value of U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoins. 'I get bitcoin, but not U.S. dollar stablecoins,' Schiff posted Friday on X. 'If you're going to introduce a third-party custodian, why settle for a token backed by a flawed fiat currency like the dollar, when you can own one backed by gold?" In a reply to a user who encouraged him to launch a gold-backed stablecoin, Schiff confirmed: "They already exist. But I do intent [sic] to launch my own." His remarks come as the U.S. Senate passed the so-called GENIUS Act to regulate the rapidly growing stablecoin sector, a type of digital currency with prices anchored to an external asset such as fiat currencies. The stablecoin market mushroomed to over $260 billion, with Citi forecasting that it could become a $3.7 trillion asset class by the end of the decade. These tokens have become a key piece of trading infrastructure and are increasingly popular for cross-border payments and remittances. The market is dominated by U.S. dollar-backed tokens like Tether's USDT and Circle's USDC. Gold-backed tokens, meanwhile, make up a niche but growing segment with a market size of around $2 billion. Contrary to fiat-backed stablecoins, gold tokens are mostly used as a store of value, like their physical version, but on blockchain rails. However, there are ongoing efforts to bring more utility for gold tokens in decentralized finance applications, for example using as collateral for in retrieving data Sign in to access your portfolio Error in retrieving data Error in retrieving data Error in retrieving data Error in retrieving data

Quiet town beating the rest of Australia in big national race: 'Saving $6000 annually'

As Australia pushes to cut carbon emissions and reduce household bills, electrification has emerged as a key focus — from the cars we drive to the way we power our homes. But while rooftop solar is booming, the transition to electric vehicles (EVs) and fully electric homes remains modest. Nationally, just 2.7 per cent of vehicles on Australian roads are electric, according to the Electric Vehicle Council. While over 10 per cent of new cars sold are now electric, that figure still trails the UK (17 per cent), Germany (19 per cent) and Norway (over 80 per cent). At the household level, gas is still widely used, and many homes are poorly equipped to make the switch. Advocates argue the future of EVs in Australia looks bright, but in a quiet corner of Victoria's Bass Coast, one community has already quietly surged ahead, offering a glimpse of what a fully electrified future could look like. At The Cape, a purpose-built sustainable estate in Cape Paterson, more than 30 per cent of households now own an electric vehicle. Every home is powered without gas, using rooftop solar and passive solar design principles, and achieves an average eight-star NatHERS energy rating — well above the national average of 6.2 stars for new builds. "More than 30 per cent of households have an EV," Director and resident Brendan Condon told Yahoo News Australia. "Homes are 100 per cent electric with no gas connections, powered by rooftop solar, and designed using passive solar principles. This community-wide commitment to electrification, from the grid to the garage, makes [us] a national front-runner and an insight into the future of a fully electrified Australia." The estate comprises 230 residential lots, with about 140 homes completed and over 250 residents. More than 95 per cent of EV charging is done at home, helping cut costs and reduce strain on the wider grid, particularly in a regional area where public charging infrastructure remains limited. "Even in regional areas, most trips are local or to nearby centres like Wonthaggi and Inverloch, which are well within EV range," Condon said. "A round trip to Melbourne is under 300 kilometres, which is easily achievable by numerous long-range EVs now on the market." The Cape also challenges the notion that electric living is the preserve of wealthy inner-city enclaves. While upfront costs are still a barrier, residents claim long-term savings. Condon says homes that pair solar with energy-efficient design and an EV can save upwards of $6,000 annually. Once fully built, the community is projected to save more than $1 million a year. "These are 'super bill-busting' homes," he said. "That money stays in household budgets and bank accounts, which is significant in the current cost-of-living crisis." Experts agree that electrifying homes and vehicles is essential to meeting emissions targets. The Climate Council estimates that switching to solar and electric could save households $3,000 to $5,000 a year and cut domestic emissions by up to 42 per cent. It also supports energy independence and grid resilience by decentralising power generation. Still, challenges remain. Critics point to the cost of EVs and the difficulty of retrofitting older homes. There are also concerns about supply chains, mineral dependency for batteries, and whether the national grid is ready for widespread electrification without major upgrades. Empty Bunnings shelves sparks major change theory Plea to electric car owners ahead of expected 'hottest summer on record' Driver spots Tesla in shocking highway act: 'Licence revoked' But Condon believes communities like his show what's possible when sustainability is designed from the ground up. With the federal government introducing a New Vehicle Efficiency Standard in 2025 and aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050, more neighbourhoods may follow suit. "[We're] a real-world blueprint," he said. "It shows how communities can decouple from expensive fossil fuels and thrive — creating zero-emissions, climate-resilient neighbourhoods that aren't just imagined, but built."
