Ranking the uniforms in the Women's College World series
The Women's College World Series gets underway on Thursday in Oklahoma City, with eight teams hoping to put their best foot forward in hopes of securing a national championship.
The Oklahoma Sooners are hoping to become the first team to win five straight national titles but will face significant challenges from Texas, Florida, Texas Tech, Tennessee, Oregon, UCLA, and Ole Miss. It's one of the best events in college sports, as over the next week and a half, softball will take center stage. As the teams take the field, so will some iconic uniforms. From classics to alternates, there will be some fantastic fits on display in Oklahoma City. Who has the best?
8. Florida Gators
When you think of the Florida Gators, this is what you picture. It's a uniform that looks like something you'd expect out of a team from Florida. It's a solid look but not quite as nice as some of the others in the Women's College World Series.
7. Oregon Ducks
The Oregon football team has some of the best looks in college sports. This is the softball team's best uniform. It looks like a storm's brewing and with the way the Ducks have played this season, it's fitting. The only knock is that the all-green and all-yellow looks don't come together quite like some of the other solids in Oklahoma City.
6. Ole Miss Rebels Powder Blue
There's a lot of blue on the list, but the Ole Miss Powder Blue is about as good as it gets.
5. UCLA Blue and Gold
UCLA is one of the blue bloods of the sport and their UCLA Blue evokes memories of a long history of success in college softball. They get the blue bump over Ole Miss simply out of respect for what UCLA Blue and Gold have meant to the sport.
4. Texas Longhorns' Icy White
The all-whites are a great look, and not only because it minimizes the amount of burnt orange one has to see, but it's reminiscent of their best football look as well.
3. Texas Tech's All Black
Few athletic programs wear black as well as Texas Tech. With red script and accents, it's an ominous look, especially when the best pitcher in the game, NiJaree Canady, is standing in the circle.
2. Oklahoma Sooners All-Crimson
The Oklahoma Sooners have a lot of really good looks, but none as clean as their all-crimson fit. It's strong and powerful, much like this team.
1. Tennessee Volunteers 'Summitt Blue'
When you think of Tennessee, you may not think of the blue they wore to clinch their super regional over Nebraska, but their "Summitt Blue," named after the Lady Vols legendary women's basketball coach Pat Summitt, is fantastic. The white accents, along with the orange lettering, are a great look.

Texas A&M Softball adds depth, eyes return to host Regionals in 2026

Texas A&M's softball season came to an abrupt end in the Bryan-College Station Regional, despite being picked as one of the favorites to reach the NCAA Women's College World Series. To add insult to injury, SEC newcomer Texas won its first World Series in program history while A&M watched from home. After some time for reflection, which Coach Ford admitted was difficult, she knew she needed to hit the portal to replace lost production and solidify the infield. In a surprise to fans, Texas A&M star utility player Amari Harper entered the portal for her final season. Harper, one of the last recruits from Jo Evans who remained after Ford took over, understandably wanted to test the waters. Outside of Harper, the Aggies had a relatively quiet portal season with only a few departures. Coach Ford, however, is focused on improvement, bringing in a handful of talented players that include an NCAA career leader in saves and a Golden Glove winner. Below are the current transfers Aggie fans can expect to see at Davis Diamond for the 2026 season. Taylor Pannell - LHP - Missouri Micaela Wark - DP/IF - Oklahoma State Tallen Edwards - UTL - Oklahoma State Maya Bland - OF - Oklahoma Paislie Allen - IF - Georgia This is an absolute haul by Coach Ford, addressing several key needs. If she can add one more pitcher, this group could be viewed as the perfect core to help the Aggies return to regional host status and potentially fuel another run at a Women's College World Series appearance. Tight end target Luke Sorensen commits to Nebraska football over Ole Miss

A three-star tight end recruit has announced his commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Luke Sorensen chose the Huskers over finalists Ole Miss and Penn State. Sorensen plays tight end for Servite High School out of Anaheim, California. It should be no surprise that the tight end chose Nebraska. The recruit recently told On3 that Nebraska's offensive scheme is attractive to him. 'Nebraska is another school I like a lot. I think Dylan Raiola is a great quarterback and I like the offense they run too. I see a great opportunity to play there too. In their tight end room, I feel I could make an impact. It is Big Ten football, so they are looking for bigger tight ends like me.' In 11 games last season, Sorensen had 15 receptions for 183 yards and two touchdowns. The tight end is the sixth recruit for the Nebraska class of 2026. The Huskers have made the tight end position a priority on the recruiting trail and in their offensive scheme. With talent like Heinrich Haarberg, Luke Lindenmeyer, and Carter Nelson already on the roster, it should be no surprise that Nebraska would want to add to that depth via recruiting. Social media reacts to Bowe Bentley's commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners

The Oklahoma Sooners' 2026 recruiting class has its quarterback after four-star prospect Bowe Bentley committed to OU on Friday evening. Bentley is one of the ten best quarterbacks in the 2026 cycle and has been a rising star over the last six months. After starring in the Navy All-American Bowl in January, Bentley's recruitment took off, and he received offers from Ohio State, Georgia, Missouri, and more over the last few months. The Celina, Texas native attended the Elite 11 finals and had a standout performance on night two, earning praise from a number of recruiting outlets. The commitment is the first big high school quarterback pledge earned by offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle. Arbuckle offered Bentley less than two months after his arrival to Norman and was able to beat an LSU football program that boasts two Heisman Trophy winners since 2019, a Heisman front runner for 2025, and a strong wide receiver recruiting class. It's a huge win for the Sooners and it's given them a big boost ahead of one of the most important recruiting weekends of the year with the ChampU BBQ happening June 20-22 in Norman. Bentley's commitment had social media buzzing on Friday evening, and here are some of the best reactions to the news. Home Run from Arbuckle Oklahoma got their guy He's Home Let's Goooo!!!
