Fortnite's long-awaited return to the Pro-Am format proved to be a resounding success, with the FNCS 2025 Pro-Am pulling in a peak of 643,995 viewers and recording over 2.3 million hours watched during its nearly five-hour broadcast. Held at the Galen Center in Los Angeles on May 10, the event marked a major milestone in the game's evolving esports journey.
Organized by BLAST and backed by Epic Games, the event featured 20 popular duos, each pairing a top-tier professional Fortnite player with a well-known content creator. The result? A high-energy tournament packed with action, entertainment, and fan engagement.
Peterbot and AussieAntics steal the show
The star duo of the night was Peter 'Peterbot' Kata and Shaun 'AussieAntics' Cochrane, who secured first place after six intense rounds. AussieAntics, a Dignitas streamer, teamed up with Peterbot, the reigning FNCS 2024 Global Champion and current Team Falcons player, to beat out stiff competition that included names like NickEh30, Clix, SypherPK, and CouRageJD.

Despite a clear difference in age and prize earnings, Peterbot has earned nearly 40 times more than his teammate - the duo showed remarkable chemistry. Round 2 saw the event's highest viewership as Clix and Lacy clinched a win, but it was Peterbot and AussieAntics who walked away champions.
More than just a tournament
Beyond the competition, the Pro-Am delivered moments that fans won't soon forget. A heat-induced power outage during Round 4 could have disrupted momentum, but CouRageJD quickly improvised by hosting a push-up challenge between SypherPK and NickEh30, much to the crowd's delight.
Fans tuning in were also rewarded with Twitch Drops, offering in-game items like an exclusive spray and backpack. Meanwhile, select AMC theatres across the US screened the event live, giving in-person audiences special redemption codes for Fortnite's Axe of Champions 2.0 Pickaxe.
Adding another layer of depth to the event was the presence of Heather 'sapphiRe' Garozzo, esports Hall of Famer and advocate for women in gaming. She praised the growing female representation, citing platforms like The Milk Cup as crucial entry points for aspiring players.
The FNCS 2025 Pro-Am sets the stage for a busy esports calendar. Next up is Major 3, starting July 16, followed by the FNCS Global Championship in Lyon this September.
With record-breaking viewership and fan-driven innovation, Fortnite's competitive future looks brighter - and bigger, than ever.

Heung Min Son arrives in the item shop Available via the in-game , the Heung Min Son skin can be purchased for 1,500 V-Bucks. However, fans looking to get the full experience might consider opting for the Forward Strike Bundle, priced at 2,000 V-Bucks, which includes exclusive cosmetic additions tied to the footballer's real-life persona. The bundle offers more than just a skin, it features an alternate outfit, the Forward Edge back bling and pickaxe, the Goal Getter wrap, and a signature 'Camera' emote inspired by Son's on-field goal celebrations. The skin and cosmetics will remain in the Item Shop until June 27 at 7:59 PM ET, giving players about a week to claim the Icon before it potentially disappears from rotation. What is included in the Heung Min Son bundle? Here's a breakdown of all Son-themed cosmetics currently available: Heung Min Son Skin - 1,500 V-Bucks Forward Edge Pickaxe & Back Bling - 800 V-Bucks 'Camera' Emote - 300 V-Bucks Goal Getter Weapon Wrap - 500 V-Bucks As of now, Epic Games hasn't bundled this with other football skins in a mega pack, which means players will need to purchase each item individually or as part of the Forward Strike Bundle. Exclusive PC bang rewards in South Korea In a region-specific twist, players in South Korea who log in from PC Bang Cafes can unlock temporary exclusive cosmetics. These rewards, however, only last for the duration of the PC Cafe session and won't be stored permanently in the user's Fortnite account. While details remain scarce, this limited-time perk further highlights Epic's ongoing efforts to grow Fortnite's appeal in Asian markets, particularly with Heung Min Son's immense popularity in South Korea. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now While Son's arrival has generated buzz, his release coincided with the Street Fighter crossover - a move that split fan attention. Several players online expressed interest in spending their V-Bucks on Street Fighter cosmetics instead. Still, for fans of the beautiful game, Son's Fortnite debut is a winning goal Also Read:

Not a spring chicken anymore? Chiefs' Andy Reid is not afraid to limit Travis Kelce's load and become the 'bad guy'
Andy Reid keeps close eye on Travis Kelce's workload — age catching up to the not-so-spring chicken (Imagn Images) The Kansas City Chiefs are back on the grind, laser-focused on securing a fourth consecutive Super Bowl appearance. And at the heart of that ambition stands Travis Kelce—back for his 13th season, defying retirement rumors and pushing his limits even at 35. Kelce's future with the team was clouded in uncertainty following a quiet end to the 2024 playoffs. After logging just 19 receiving yards against the Buffalo Bills and 39 against the Eagles in the Super Bowl loss, many speculated that the three-time Super Bowl champion might hang up his cleats. But the veteran tight end quickly put those whispers to rest during this week's mandatory minicamp. Travis Kelce gets special treatment from Andy Reid "I love football. I don't think I really thought about it that much," Kelce told reporters after Wednesday's session. "... I love coming in to work every single day. It wasn't a very tough one for me. I know I'm getting older, but at the same time I still feel like I've got a lot I can prove in this league. With that being said, it really wasn't that hard of a decision for me." Despite being well into his thirties, Kelce remains a critical force in the Chiefs' offense. In the 2024–25 season, he recorded 97 receptions, 823 yards, and three touchdowns—numbers that many younger tight ends would envy. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? There's no denying Kelce's legacy is already cemented, but he's still hungry to build on it. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, now entering his 27th year as an NFL head coach, has coached legends before—but Kelce is a unique case. Reid understands the delicate balance between pushing a star player and protecting his longevity. "He's in great shape right now, so I think he's looking forward to getting going," Reid noted after Thursday's practice. Asked whether Kelce's age factors into workload management, Reid offered a lighthearted but telling response. "Listen, I always watch him, I always keep an eye on him. I know he's getting older, he doesn't know he's getting older, but I do," Reid said with a smile. "So I can be the bad guy in some cases there if needed. If I think it's catching up to him a little bit, I'll pull off and put him where he needs to be. He hasn't shown me any of that yet; he's done really well with it." The minicamp, which runs through Thursday, has offered a first glimpse of a focused, fired-up Kelce—clearly still enjoying every snap and every drill. For the Chiefs, his return brings not just leadership and experience, but also the emotional spark that could power them to yet another Super Bowl Sunday. As long as Kelce keeps suiting up, Kansas City remains a team no opponent can take lightly.
