Here's why Pheladi will not return to 'The Mommy Club' for season 4

TimesLIVE20-05-2025

Reality TV star Pheladi Madungandaba says she has no interest to making a return to The Mommy Club after her stint in season 3.
Pheladi's absence from the show's reunion episode had already sparked speculation, with her citing health reasons for her non-attendance.
Despite being part of the show's third season, Pheladi's experience seems to have left a lasting impression, leading her to rule out a potential return.
On the show, the audience saw Pheladi engage in verbal altercations with two cast members: one with Nokwethemba 'Noksie' Khumalo and the other with Kabelo 'Mrs J' Jantjies, which got heated when her children were brought up and she was called a hoe because she mentioned she previously dated a married man.
In a candid interview with Palesa Madisakwane, Pheladi shared her reservations about the dynamics behind reality TV. She said she was initially reluctant — having been approached before to do The Real Housewives of Johannesburg — to join the show but wanted to share her story.
'We get into these things thinking there's an open policy, there's transparency. It's not the case, people have their own agendas. Also us as the cast, we came in with our own agendas, production have their own agendas, whatever they want to achieve, the audience and the media have their own agendas,' she said.
'It's unfortunate. It's not a space where I have control. I like to be in a position where I can control.'

'We are 100% a multicultural family!' she says. 'For example, we celebrate Christmas the Dutch way but also honour Zulu practices.' She says her work as a life coach has supplemented her parenting style. 'My coaching practice has shaped my motherhood journey in the best way possible. The biggest lesson has been to learn to feel my feelings and be present,' expressed the mother of two. 'This has helped me walk alongside my kids, seeing them as equals – real human beings with their own thoughts and feelings. Forget the old-school 'children should be seen and not heard' mindset! In my house, my kids are both seen and heard.' She hopes that one day, when her kids search for her on the internet, they will find inspiration and admiration. 'I want them to see a legacy of helping people become the best versions of themselves, of authenticity, and of loving life as it is while growing,' said Tsipa. 'Even though being human means striving for more, I also want them to feel contentment with where they are. I hope they find something peaceful, wholesome, and calm – something that makes them proud to say, 'That's my mom'.' Nozipho Ntshangase's husband of 17 years marries second wife

Nozipho previously opened up about the pain caused by her husband's decision to take a second wife. The Mommy Club star Nozipho Ntshangase's husband of more than 17 years, Zola Ntshangase, has officially taken a second wife. In a statement issued in March 2024, Zola confirmed he was taking another wife, revealing that lobola negotiations were underway at the time. He also condemned social media backlash directed at his soon-to-be second wife. 'I have noted the media outroar and backlash misdirected towards the name of my soon-to-be second wife, Ms Misokuhle. The disparaging remarks levelled at Ms Misokuhle are tantamount to unfair treatment characterised by abuse and stigmatisation,' the statement added. This past weekend, Zola and his 25-year-old bride, Misokuhle Nomsheshe, celebrated their union with a traditional wedding ceremony. Misokuhle has since shared images and videos from the lavish celebration on her Instagram page. In an episode from the show's second season, Nozipho opened up about the emotional toll the decision had taken on her and her children. 'The plan has changed, and I find that this plan has changed only to bring me pain and to bring my kids pain. So, I am not happy with the plan, and I don't think it's fair because what am I going to do? 'You spend 17 years building with someone, you spend your whole life not having to worry if someone will be there for birthdays and Christmases. You spend the rest of your life planning that when we are both 50 years old, we are going to do this and that — and then suddenly, out of nowhere, the plan changes,' Nozipho said, tearing up. Nozipho Ntshangase's heartbreak: Husband Zola marries second wife

Reality TV star Nozipho Ntshangase. Image: Instagram Nozipho Ntshangase's husband of 17 years, Zola, married his second wife, 25-year-old Misokuhle, this weekend. Last year, the reality TV star, who has eight children with her husband, shared that she was not in favour of the union. On The Mommy Club, Nozipho openly expressed her heartbreak regarding Zola's intention to take a second wife, stating, "The plan has changed to bring me pain and to bring my kids pain. I'm not happy with the plan". Last year, a video showing a heated argument between Zola and his family, including Nozipho and their children, went viral. In the video, Zola demanded his car keys to leave the house, while Nozipho insisted she needed the vehicle to take the children to school. The argument escalated, with Zola accusing his sons of ganging up on him. The fact that he went ahead and married his second wife has sparked debate among South Africans. The public reaction has been largely sympathetic towards Nozipho, with many criticising Zola for proceeding with the marriage despite her clear objections. Facebook user, Yolokazi Chagi, shared a post telling women to prioritise themselves when it comes to relationships. Yolokazi Chagi tells women to put themselves first. Chagi writes, 'If as a woman you are not taking notes from these celebrity marriages I don't know uba at what point will u learn that men will choose themselves and their happiness over their children & wife of years. When it's time for him to pack nothing will ever make him change his mind so nawe as a woman do not be blinded by love, always put your goals and dreams before indoda because he can switch up anytime if he wants to and not even God will stop him once he finds new love (emoji)' Many women took to the comment section agreeing with the Chagi. 'Absolutely… focus ladies, focus', responded one person. 'Men will leave you in the desert WITHOUT WATER,' commented another woman. Another felt sorry for his new wife, saying, 'I feel for that woman because he is gonna show her flames, but it's safe to say she deserved everything coming her way.'
