Well… just about everything leaked for the next phone from Xiaomi's sub-brand Poco

The upcoming Poco F7. | Image credit – Android Treasure Back in March, Xiaomi sub-brand Poco launched the Poco F7 series, which includes the Poco F7 Ultra and the Poco F7 Pro. But it looks like Poco isn't quite done yet. A new model – the regular Poco F7 – is on the way and it is expected to be officially announced later this month, most likely on June 25. Now, just ahead of its debut, a fresh leak has revealed just about everything there is to know.
The regular F7 sets itself apart from the other two models in several ways, starting with a different design. Instead of the camera layout used on the Ultra and Pro, this one features a dual camera setup inside a vertical, pill-shaped module. It has leaked in three colors so far: Black, White and Silver edition.
The Poco F7 in White and in Black. | Image credit – Android Treasure Along with the design, the leak gives away nearly all the major specs. The standard F7 is actually larger than both the Pro and Ultra models. It is expected to come with a 6.83-inch OLED display, compared to the 6.67-inch panels used on the other two. The resolution will be lower, though – 1,280 x 2,772 pixels versus their 1440p+ – so the image sharpness might not be quite the same.
The upcoming phone in Silver. | Image credit – Android Treasure Still, the panel isn't basic by any means. It supports 12-bit color, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and can hit a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. Overall, the Poco F7 is the biggest of the bunch at 163.1 x 77.9 x 8.2mm and 215.7g. The F7 Pro, by comparison, measures 160.3 x 75.0 x 8.1mm and weighs 206g, while the Ultra is 8.4mm thick and weighs 212g.The F7 also comes with a noticeably bigger battery. It is said to pack a 7,550mAh battery with 90W fast charging and 22.5W fast reverse charging. For comparison, the Ultra model comes with a 5,300mAh battery and the Pro has a 6,000mAh cell. Even in regions like Europe, where the F7 is expected to ship with a smaller 6,500mAh battery, it's still larger than either of its siblings.
And that is not just big by Poco standards – it is bigger than most phones in the budget category right now. For example, the OnePlus 13R, which is on our best budget phones list, already has one of the biggest batteries at 6,000mAh. So, if battery life is a top priority, the Poco F7 is shaping up to be a solid contender.
Powering it all is expected to be the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. The phone might offer up to 12 GB of RAM and as much as 512 GB of storage. It will run HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 out of the box and include a range of AI-powered features, such as AI writing, speech recognition, interpretation, subtitles, an AI assistant, an AI eraser tool and AI video capabilities.
Camera-wise, the rear setup is expected to include a 50 MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS paired with an 8 MP secondary camera. On the front, there should be a 20 MP camera for selfies.
As for the price, this leak didn't include exact numbers, but it is expected to come in under €500 (around $570 when directly converted) for the version with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
That would put it in the same general range as the Pixel 9a and the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. And considering it offers more storage at that price, it could turn out to be a better deal for some. The Pixel 9a , for example, maxes out at 256 GB.
But here's the catch – Poco phones aren't officially sold in the US. Sure, you can try to grab one from Poco's global online store, but even if you do, you might run into issues with network compatibility on US carriers. So it is something to keep in mind if you are interested in this phone.

The company's latest chip, Dimensity 8450, is basically a Dimensity 8400 with a few minor improvements that probably don't matter in the grand scheme of starters, MediaTek's new Dimensity 8450 chipset is based on TSMC's second-generation 4nm node, just like its predecessor, Dimensity 8400. On top of that, it features the same octa-core configuration: 1x Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.25 GHz, 3x Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 3.0 GHz, and 4x Cortex-A520 cores clocked at the chipset uses the same Mali-G720 MC7 GPU (graphics processing unit), which is clocked at 1300 MHz. The only difference is that the Dimensity 8450 received some gaming and ISP optimizations, according to MediaTek One of the gaming-oriented boosts Dimensity 8450 got is StarSpeed Engine, a powerful GPU technology that promises to further enhance real-world gaming. Besides that, MediaTek says the IPS has been improved with live-stream optimizations, but that's about also important to mention that MediaTek claims the Dimensity 8450 features 'the most powerful generative AI in its class.'Another interesting improvement over the previous generation Dimensity chipset is the addition of a power saving feature: MediaTek UltraSave 3.0+. The latter is supposed to offer greater 5G power efficiency compared to Dimensity new chipset will most likely be included in a bunch of mid-range smartphones in the next coming months. However, considering how quickly new chipsets are launched, smartphone makers will move to the next new thing in a jiffy. The new Dimensity 8450 won't have a long life, but it's a small step toward MediaTek's next big first phones equipped with MediaTek's Dimensity 8450 chipset have already been announced. Reno 14 Pro should make its debut in India very soon, followed by a K series model.

Nothing Phone (1) may no longer qualify for Android 16, but the latest update is the next best thing

Nothing's first-ever smartphone, Phone (1), made its debut on the market three years ago. The device originally shipped with Android 12 right out of the box, but Nothing promised it will provide owners with three major OS upgrades. That means that Android 15 was the last major OS upgrade for Nothing Phone (1), something that hasn't changed even though most companies are now offering several years of OS updates for their phones. Although Nothing Phone (1) is no longer receiving OS upgrades, the UK brand offers customers who are still using the device the next best thing: a feature-packed update. Nothing OS v3.2 is now making its way to the original Phone, the company confirmed over the weekend. The update includes important new features and improvements that Nothing Phone (1) have been hopeful to get ever since they were debuted on Nothing's other phones. New Features : Introducing Privacy space: Swipe right in the app drawer for quick and easy access to your secure zone. You can now set a separate privacy password for both App Locker and Privacy space. Hotspot Manager: Easily manage devices connected to your hotspot. Other Improvements : Fixed issue with incorrect light strip display when playing music in Glyph Composer. Use the touch feedback toggle in Settings to disable the face unlock vibration for the lock screen. Updated to Android security patch for June. Fixed accessibility issues in Launcher, Gallery and other apps. General bug fixes and stability enhancements. Nothing Phone (1)'s industrial design makes it stand out | Image credit: PhoneArena As per Nothing's announcement, your Phone (1) may experience temporary overheating and increased consumption during the upgrade, but it should quickly return to normal after the update is complete. The update is rolling out in waves, so it might take some time to reach all Nothing Phone (1) users. It's unclear whether or not this phone will continue to receive feature-packed updates, so perhaps an upgrade to a newer device might be in order. Secure your connection now at a bargain price! MediaTek announces the Dimensity 8450 with minor improvements

MediaTek announced the new Dimensity 8450, a direct successor to the Dimensity 8400 released back in December 2024. As the name implies, the upgrades are minimal, and the company introduced mostly under-the-hood changes. Interestingly, there's already a phone running the silicon - the Oppo Reno14 Pro. The Dimensity 8450 is still based on TSMC's second-generation 4nm node with an octa-core CPU with 1x Cortex-X4 core ticking at 3.25 GHz, 3x Cortex-A720 cores running at 3.0 GHz and 4x Cortex-A520 cores clocked at 2.1 GHz. The GPU is Mali-G720 MC7 with 7 cores and it's clocked at 1300 MHz. If it sounds familiar, that's because the Dimensity 8400 runs on the same exact hardware. However, the newer chipset boasts gaming and ISP optimizations. The GPU, for instance, now uses the StarSpeed Engine, improving real-world gaming, while the improved ISP has live-stream optimizations. The ISP is capable of handling 320MP sensors with zero-lag HDR imaging. The NPU 880 receives some love too with Agentic AI Engine that allows support for on-device GenAI and LLM workloads. Lastly, the Dimensity 8450's 5G modem gets a new power-saving feature, UltraSave 3.0+, to reduce energy consumption. We should start seeing the chip appear in upper mid-range phones in the following weeks and months. Source
