As US Bombs Iran, Asaduddin Owaisi Has A Nobel Prize Question For Pakistan

New Delhi: As the US joined Israel's war against Iran and targeted three nuclear facilities, AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi launched a swipe against Pakistan, saying that we must ask Pakistanis if they want US President Donald Trump to get a Nobel Peace Prize for this feat. Pakistan yesterday announced that it would recommend Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for the US intervention during the India-Pakistan conflict last month in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack. "This intervention stands as a testament to his role as a genuine peacemaker," Islamabad said. In a quick volte-face after the US airstrikes in Iran today, Pakistan said it is "gravely concerned" at the escalation in the Middle East. It said that these attacks violate "all norms of international law and that Iran has the legitimate right to defend itself under the UN Charter". As Islamabad made an about-turn, Mr Owaisi took a swipe. Speaking to news agency ANI, he said, "We should ask Pakistanis if they want Trump to get the Nobel Peace Prize for this. Did their General (Pakistan Field Marshal Asim Munir) have dinner with Trump for this?" The AIMIM chief said a bogey of Iran having nuclear weapons has been created. "The same thing was used in Iraq, nothing came out, same thing was used in Libya, nothing came out," he said. The Donald Trump administration struck three nuclear installations in Iran -- Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. This is the first time the US has attacked facilities in Iran since the 1979 Iranian Revolution. "Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier," the US President said after the airstrikes. Iran's Foreign Affairs Ministry has condemned the US' "brutal military aggression" and termed it a "grave and unprecedented violation" of the fundamental principles of the UN Charter and international law. "The US military aggression against the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of a UN member state - carried out in collusion with the genocidal Israeli regime - once again laid bare the depth of depravity that governs American foreign policy and revealed the extent of hostility harbored by the US ruling establishment against the peace-seeking and independence-loving people of Iran."

Owaisi's big warning as US bombs Iran's sites: ‘Only deterrence against Israel… having a nuclear bomb'

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, while talking to the media on Sunday, said that having a nuclear bomb and a nuclear warhead is the only deterrence against Israel's hegemony, warning that other countries will also carry out bombings. Owaisi was referring to the US bombing three sites in Iran early Sunday, with the Iran's state-run IRNA news agency confirming that attacks targeted the country's Fordo, Isfahan and Natanz nuclear sites. US President Donald Trump warned of additional strikes if Iran retaliates. 'The bombing of these three or four places by the US in Iran will not deter them... Mark my words, even Iran will do it in the next 5 to 10 years, even other countries will do it because now they have realised that having a nuclear bomb and nuclear warhead is the only deterrence against Israel's hegemony,' Owaisi said. 'The US policy is only to cover up the crimes of the Israeli government. What is happening in Gaza is a genocide, and no one is talking about it. Why is there no one asking how many nuclear waterheads Israel has?" the AIMIM chief added. 'This man (Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu), he has butchered Palestinians... He is doing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in the West Bank and in Gaza. History will remember him as the butcher of Palestinians,' Owaisi added. Owaisi launched a blistering attack on Pakistan's earlier pitch for a Nobel Peace Prize for US President Trump, following America's airstrikes on Iran's key nuclear facilities. According to an ANI report, the Lok Sabha MP questioned whether Pakistan had supported Trump only to see him drop bombs on a sovereign nation. "We should ask Pakistanis if for this they want Trump to get a Nobel Peace Prize..." Owaisi said in Hyderabad, referring to the strikes carried out by the United States on Iran's nuclear sites in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow. The AIMIM leader further mocked Pakistan's military leadership, saying, "...Did Pakistan's General (Army chief Asim Munir) have lunch with the US president for this? They all have been exposed today." The government of Pakistan wrote in a Friday statement on the social media platform X said that it would nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize as reported by several media outlets in the US, including The Hill. Owaisi also warned of serious consequences for India if a full-scale war breaks out in the region. "We must also remember that more than 16 million Indians live in the Gulf and Middle East, and if that area erupts in a war, which unfortunately is very likely, then it will have a grave impact on the Indians living there," he told ANI. He said the region was vital for India's economy. "The investments which Indian companies have made in all these Arab countries or Gulf countries, and a substantial amount of foreign investment comes from this area," he added. Calling the nuclear threat from Iran a "boogie," Owaisi said, "And lastly, this boogie has been created about Iran having nuclear weapons, or this and that, the same thing was used in Iraq, Weapons of Mass Destruction. Nothing, nothing came out."

Egypt's Foreign Minister Postpones India Visit Again Amid Middle East Crisis

Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty has called off his planned visit to India for the second time this year, with sources indicating the cancellation is linked to rising tensions across the Middle East region. The diplomatic trip, originally scheduled for this week, has been indefinitely postponed according to informed officials who confirmed that previous arrangements should now be considered void. Abdelatty was expected to hold bilateral discussions with India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar during his stay in New Delhi. This marks the second cancellation of the Egyptian minister's India visit, following a similar postponement in February 2025. While Egyptian authorities have not provided an official explanation for the latest cancellation, diplomatic sources suggest it stems from the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East, particularly following recent escalations between Israel and Iran. The timing coincides with heightened regional instability triggered by Israel's military operation against Iran on June 13, known as Operation Rising Lion, which has drawn increased U.S. involvement in supporting Israeli military actions. Despite the diplomatic setback, India-Egypt relations have strengthened significantly in recent years. The two nations elevated their partnership to Strategic Partnership status in 2023 during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's state visit to Cairo. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reciprocated by serving as the chief guest at India's Republic Day celebrations the same year. Egypt has now become a critical potential evacuation route for Indian citizens currently in Israel amid the ongoing conflict. The strategic importance of Egypt-India ties extends beyond diplomacy, with both countries having signed a defense cooperation agreement in 2022 following Defense Minister Rajnath Singh's Cairo visit. The bilateral defense relationship has gained momentum through regular Joint Defense Committee meetings, with ten sessions conducted to date. The most recent defense committee meeting took place in New Delhi in 2024, demonstrating the sustained military cooperation between the two nations despite current diplomatic scheduling can make mistakes. Please double-check responses. Sonnet 4
