Nashik: The first admission list under the Common Admission Process (CAP) for FYJC will be announced on June 26 in respective junior colleges and on students' login portals. The cut-offs for admissions will also be available on the portal. The first round of admission confirmations will begin on June 27, when students can log into their accounts and, if allotted to their preferred colleges, click to proceed with admission. A fresh timetable issued on Saturday for FYJC admissions across the state said that the general merit list will be published on Wednesday. The zero-round for management and in-house quota allocations is scheduled for Thursday, allowing students seeking quota-based admissions to finalize their seats in the respective colleges between June 12 and 14. Students who have filed their forms can go through the provisional general merit list announced by the department of education and suggest corrections or file grievances till Monday, a senior officer from the office of the deputy director of education in Nashik told TOI. Deputy directors of education in all the divisions must address the objections and grievances by Monday evening. The officer said, "The merit list of eligible candidates will be prepared on June 17, and allocations will begin for CAP round 1. The officer added, "Students will then have to approach their allotted colleges with documents for verification and payment of the prescribed fees with the confirmation of admission. All this will have to be done by the students by July 3. Students who do not take admissions despite allocation to the colleges of their choice will have to skip the following round before being eligible to participate in the admission process again. "For students who have been allotted their first preference, it is compulsory to take admission in that junior college. If such students fail to take admission, they will be blocked for the next regular round. They can then only be considered for subsequent rounds," said the officer. According to official figures, 12,71,295 students registered on the portal on the last day of registration last Thursday. Mumbai division had more than 2.9 lakh registrations, the maximum, while the Pune division had approximately 2.2 lakh applications. Other divisions, such as Nagpur, Nashik, Kolhapur, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, also saw robust participation.
