Farmers Flock to Bhubharati Program in Ija Mandal Seeking Land Issue Resolutions

Gadwal: A Bhubharati grievance redressal program held at the local Rythu Vedika in Ija Mandal witnessed a heavy turnout of farmers seeking solutions to various land-related issues. The event was formally inaugurated by Alampur Market Yard Chairman, Doddappa.
During the program, several farmers from across the mandal approached Tehsildar Jyothi with petitions regarding disputes, corrections, and clarifications related to their agricultural lands. Tehsildar Jyothi patiently listened to their concerns and took immediate action on some issues, offering on-the-spot resolutions wherever possible.
In several cases, farmers were advised to submit formal applications through the MeeSeva portal, while others were directed to seek legal redress in court due to the complexity of their cases. Although a number of farmers expressed satisfaction with the responses, some left the venue disappointed due to unresolved grievances.
Speaking at the event, Market Yard Chairman Doddappa emphasized that the Bhubharati initiative is a continuous and evolving process. 'This is not a one-day event where everything gets resolved at once,' he said. 'Farmers must remain patient as the system identifies and rectifies discrepancies. The Bhubharati Act is being implemented to ensure it becomes a beneficial and fair system for all landowners.'
He further assured that the full implementation of the Bhubharati Act would be achieved soon, offering long-term relief to farmers. 'There is no need for farmers to worry going forward,' he stated confidently.
The event saw participation from a large number of farmers, along with agriculture and revenue department officials. The Bhubharati program continues to serve as a platform for farmers to raise and resolve critical land-related issues, aiming to bring transparency and justice in land management across Telangana.

HYDERABAD: Revenue minister Ponguleti SrinivasReddy on Saturday said the Congress govt is overhauling the revenue administration, which had deteriorated during the BRS's decade-long rule. He said that the Bhu Bharati Act, aimed at providing lasting solutions to long-pending land disputes in Telangana, is being implemented with seriousness and has already brought a positive shift in the system. At a review meeting with senior officials on the successful completion of revenue meets (sadassulu) across the state, the minister said over 10 lakh land-related applications were received across three phases. Between June 3 and 20, revenue meets were held in 10,239 villages across 561 mandals, during which eight lakh more applications were received. In all, 10,725 sadassulu were conducted in 593 mandals, with 8.58 lakh applications submitted. 'In the first phase, held from April 17 to 30, around 12,000 applications were submitted through 72 sadassulu across four mandals. In the second phase, which began on May 5, over 46,000 applications were collected through 414 meetings in 28 mandals. Over 60% of those issues have been resolved, excluding sadabainama cases,' he said. Sadabainama refers to a land transaction, where land ownership is recorded only on paper. Khammam district received the highest number of applications at 67,000, followed by Bhadradri Kothagudem (61,000), Warangal (54,000), Jayashankar Bhupalpally (48,000), and Nalgonda (42,000). The minister said free application forms were distributed a day prior in villages, and special teams were deployed under the supervision of tahsildars. So far, 3.27 lakh applications have been registered online, and officials have been instructed to expedite the remaining cases.

About 8.5 lakh applications received in Revenue Sadassus and 60% of them resolved: Minister Ponguleti

Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said the Congress government was systematically cleansing the revenue system that was plagued by corruption and mismanagement during the decade-long BRS rule. Speaking at a review meeting with officials on Saturday, the Minister stated that the recently concluded State-wide revenue sessions have ushered in a new era of transparency in land administration. Stating that the outreach was extensive, the Minister revealed that 10,725 revenue sessions were conducted in three phases across 593 mandals, during which a total of 8.58 lakh applications related to land issues were received. In the first phase (April 17 to 30), 72 revenue sessions across 4 mandals were held and 12,000 applications were received. In Phase-2 (from May 5), 414 sessions across 28 mandals were held and 46,000 applications were received. In the last phase (June 3 to 20), 10,239 sessions were held across 561 mandals and 8 lakh applications were received. The highest applications were received in Khammam (67,000) followed by Bhadradri Kothagudem (61,000), Warangal (54,000), Jayashankar Bhupalapalli (48,000) and Nalgonda (42,000). The Minister noted that more than 60% of issues, excluding those involving title complexities, have already been resolved, reflecting the responsive nature of the new system introduced by the government. He said special efforts were made to make the process accessible and transparent. On the eve of each revenue conference, free application forms were distributed to farmers in villages. Special MRO-led teams received applications without collecting any fees and provided receipts on the spot. Out of the total received, 3.27 lakh applications have already been digitised and registered online. The Minister alleged that the revenue system, once destroyed and paralysed by political negligence, was now being rebuilt with the trust of the people. The implementation of the Bhu Bharati Act was launched on April 14 by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

Resolve all land issues by August 15, says Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy

HYDERABAD: Reiterating that land disputes continue to be critical issues in Telangana's socio-economic landscape, Revenue & Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Tuesday urged district collectors to work with a clear focus on resolving land-related grievances. He emphasised that the Bhu Bharati Act was enacted to address the issues arising from past irregularities under the Dharani portal introduced by the previous government. Newly appointed collectors — P Pravinya of Sangareddy, K Hymavathi of Siddipet, Hari Chandana Dasari of Hyderabad and T Vinay Krishna Reddy of Nizamabad — along with Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu, Special Secretary, Registration & Stamps, Revenue department, met the minister at the Secretariat to discuss key issues. Speaking on the occasion, Srinivasa Reddy pointed out that hundreds of families in every village were still grappling with unresolved land issues due to flaws in the Dharani portal. He urged the officials to prioritise applications received during the revenue grievance sessions, and ensure just and timely resolution. Stating that the next two months would be crucial for the Revenue department, he directed the officials to resolve all pending, legitimate land-related issues by August 15, 2025. He underlined that it was the primary responsibility of district collectors to implement these schemes efficiently and deliver benefits to all eligible citizens.
