Revealed: Jack Grealish makes heartwarming gesture to cancer-stricken dad as insiders tell how the England star has given THOUSANDS away in string of secret acts of charity

Daily Maila day ago

Jack Grealish has reportedly donated £1,400 to a cancer-stricken father in his latest bout of generosity.
The Manchester City star was moved to give the money after coming across the dad's story on GoFundMe while on holiday in Greece.
And The Sun revealed how this was the latest in a spree of giveaways totalling at least tens of thousands of pounds over the last five years.
Earlier this year, the 29-year-old was reported to have pledged £1,000 towards a woman's funeral fees after she died unexpectedly.
Further donations from Grealish include £5,000 to a 20-year-old with cancer in 2023 and £5,000 to a deceased crash victim's family in 2021.
For the 2023 donation, Grealish gave money to young Birmingham City fan Dylan Lamb, who was battling blood cell cancer and needed £1million for a clinical trial of treatment in the United States.
The Sun claims he has given tens of thousands in personal donations over the last five years
Grealish was hailed as a 'class act' for making the top donation but unfortunately Lamb passed away a few weeks later.
In the same year, he gave £5,000 towards the funeral costs of a late Aston Villa season ticket holder.
Villa season ticket holder Shawn Francis, who was expecting his first child with his partner Danielle, was tragically found dead at the age of 29.
'He may be a world-class footballer and love designer clobber but Jack is no stranger to the hardships of life,' a source told The Sun.
'He's passionate about using his fortune to help others.
'GoFundMe is perfect as it goes direct to each case.
'He's also been vocal about supporting Hollie (his 21-year-old sister who has cerebral palsy).
'Growing up with her and seeing challenges she's faced helped open his eyes.'
He also spent a day with Team GB's Special Olympics team in 2023.
Grealish looks as if he is headed for the exit door at Manchester City after being left out of Pep Guardioila's 27-man squad for the Club World Cup.

This divisive 90s shoe trend is back for summer – and this is the pair to wear

Flip flops have officially been given the fashion seal of approval. From smooth leather iterations to jelly styles and classic Havaianas', the sandal style is just as likely to be seen in the city as they are at the beach this season. Minimalist luxury fashion label The Row led the charge last year with its 'beach flip flop' style, plumped for by the likes of Kylie and Kendall Jenner and Zoe Kravitz. Don't be fooled by the name, as these flip flops aren't seen anywhere near the sea. In fact, The Row's newest take for this season is aptly named the 'city flip flop' (£860, But you don't need to spend that eye-watering amount on the style; Ancient Greek Sandals were next with the Saionara jelly sandal (£125, worn by influencers including Lucy Williams and Lizzy Hadfield. The jelly material and pop of colour playfully nod to the Nineties. A more budget way to embrace the trend, the classic flip flop brand Havaianas is officially cool again, thanks to recent collaborations with Zara, Dolce & Gabbana and Gigi Hadid. Of course, the trend isn't for everyone. Some might look on with horror at exposed feet on the commute, while getting your toes out in the office is a divisive topic among colleagues. I cast my own reservations aside to road test the best flip flops to invest in this season – and one pair has shaped up to be my sandal of the season. Perfectly minimalist but sufficiently stylish thanks to the sleek red finish, Russell & Bromley's radford style is a hero investment. At £125, the flats are a more premium choice on the high street, but feel far less flimsy than many leather or faux leather takes. Here's my case for why you should invest too. How we tested I tested these Russell & Bromley flip flops alongside dozens of other pairs from the high street. Considering comfort, styling versatility, value-for-money and aesthetic, here's why I keep returning to the radford style. Coronation Street star in shock comeback months after quitting cobbles – and will clash with love rival

CORONATION Street is bringing back a fan-favourite character for a long stint this summer - and she's already started filming. The ITV soap has tempted scene-stealer Amy Robbins to reprise her role as Christina Boyd for a major new storyline. 2 2 Actress Amy made her apparently final exit as the nightmare mother of former Rovers barmaid Daisy Midgeley earlier this year as part of Daisy's exit storyline. But now The Sun can exclusively reveal that Amy is back playing Christina once again - and she'll be back on screen soon. A source said: 'Amy is back and has returned to filming. 'Obviously with Charlotte leaving it would have been easy to think you'd never see her again but the character is so juicy that everyone jumped at the chance to have her back. 'Christina will be back to her usual tricks causing chaos on the cobbles. 'There's going to be some incredible scenes with her and Jenny clashing. 'And this time she's back for a long stint. She returned to filming recently and she'll be back on screen later this summer. 'It's definitely going to be explosive.' Christina was last seen on the cobbles in May when her daughter Daisy got the better of her and took Jenny Connor's money for herself. While Daisy is now living the life of riley abroad on the cash, Christina was left penniless after trying to double-cross her daughter. And she'll be back in Weatherfield to come face to face with Jenny once more.
