Did BTS' Jimin break up with Namjoon after posting ‘drunk' message for ARMY? Hilarious Weverse translation sends fans into chaos

Time of India14-06-2025

BTS chaos is officially back! After the group's epic reunion at J-Hope's Hope On The Street concert on June 13, fans were treated to a surprise message from Jimin, posted late at night and allegedly while tipsy. But what really set ARMY off was a mistranslation on Weverse that claimed Jimin had 'broken up' with Namjoon, sparking a hilarious frenzy online.
Jimin's late-night emotional message for fans at BTS Festa 2025
At 3 AM KST, Jimin dropped one of the most emotional and unexpectedly raw messages on Weverse, and fans are still trying to recover. In a late-night post that feels like a drunk text wrapped in poetry, he opened up about missing ARMY, growing older, and how even saying 'I miss you' has started to feel complicated. This was his first lengthy note for fans after his discharge from the military on June 11.
'When I don't see you for a while, I end up really wanting to see you,' he wrote. 'But when I say it too much, it feels like those words lose their weight, so I hold back," he wrote in Hangul.
He got real about how expressing emotions isn't as easy as it used to be, confessing, 'It's kind of funny, right? How saying 'I miss you' gets harder and harder. But… I miss you.' And just when you think it couldn't get deeper, he admitted that hearing the word 'ARMY' now makes him 'reach for a drink.' (Cue ARMY spiraling.)
Jimin also reflected on how often he apologizes, even though fans have told him not to. 'Do you know how curious I get?' he asked. 'How many times from now on will I say 'thank you,' 'I love you,' 'I'm sorry,' or or 'please forgive me'?' His thoughts eventually circled back to something simple but powerful: 'Maybe 'I love you' is actually a really small phrase… in the end, it always comes back to respect. So, I respect you all. And I love you.'
He wrapped up up with the words,, 'After how many days and nights will this feeling fully reach you?'' Probably… it won't, right?'
JIMIN's LETTER ON WEVERSE:when i don't see you for a while,i end up really wanting to see you.but honestly, sometimes even i feel like i'm far away and when that happens, i end up saying 'i miss you' oftenbut when i say it too much, it feels like those words lose their… pic.twitter.com/Zp2eDChj4K
Jimin's Weverse post sparks fake breakup rumors with Namjoon
This is where things took a chaotic and unintentionally hilarious turn. After pouring his heart out in the emotional late-night message, Jimin followed up with another post, casually mentioning that he had spent time with Namjoon before uploading the note.
He wrote, "I'm not sure if the spelling is correct, and I uploaded it, but when I wake up and find out there's a problem, I'll delete it." I really missed you today and kept talking about it with Namjoon hyung, and we just parted ways. Anyway, I love you so much. I was the happiest when I saw Hobi hyung's concert. If I can give you as much happiness as I felt today, I'll be so touched. That love... that's RM. Namjoon really loves ARMY the most. I love you too."
The vibe was warm and sincere until Weverse's auto-translation decided to throw the fandom into panic mode. Instead of 'parted ways,' the platform interpreted Jimin's message as 'broke up with Namjoon hyung.' Within minutes, ARMYs were spiraling online, questioning if the two had fought or were in their 'breakup era.'
Of course, there was no actual fight or drama. It was another classic Weverse translation fail. Still, it didn't stop fans from flooding timelines with hilarious reactions, with fans joking he was probably drunk late at night. He has since deleted both the posts and instead posted, "I am sorry."

Why BTS' V, aka Kim Taehyung's new Instagram post disappeared for some fans — and what it could be hinting at

BTS V's Instagram post restricted| Credit: Instagram/thv BTS member V, aka Kim Taehyung, has been treating fans to glimpses of his life since his military discharge on June 10. On Saturday, he shared a new Instagram post capturing moments from his military discharge celebration with close friends, including Wooga Squad member Park Seo Joon. But shortly after it went up, many fans noticed the post had seemingly disappeared. While some assumed Taehyung had deleted it, that's not the case. The post is still live on his account, but it's hidden in several regions due to Instagram's content restrictions. Why is Kim Taehyung's post restricted by Instagram? According to fans and social media watchers, the post is likely being limited because it features a wine bottle. Instagram tends to restrict visibility in countries with stricter guidelines around alcohol-related content, especially when it's tied to public figures. The post hasn't violated any rules, but regional policies around alcohol consumption may have triggered the filter. This isn't the first time a celebrity has faced such an issue—similar restrictions have affected other K-pop idols and influencers before. The post features Taehyung celebrating his military discharge with a cake among friends, along with several candid moments, like him casually balancing a wine glass on his head, walking down the street with a glass in hand, and a lineup of empty wine bottles in the background. WITH THE LINK OF THE POST BELOW — TAEHYUNG BASE (@popbaseTHV) June 21, 2025 Is V teasing a wine collab? Interestingly, Taehyung recently hinted during a live broadcast that something new is on the way. While he didn't spill any details, his latest post featuring rows of wine bottles has led fans to speculate: is he planning to launch his own wine brand? Or could he be collaborating with—or becoming the ambassador for—a luxury wine label? Nothing's confirmed yet, but the timing and aesthetic have definitely raised eyebrows among fans. With his military service officially behind him, Taehyung seems ready to step into his next chapter, one Instagram post at a time. Whether he's teasing a new brand, a creative project, or just sharing memories with friends, fans are here for it. And if Instagram's algorithm tries to hide it, ARMYs are ready to make sure it stays seen. For all the latest K-drama, K-pop, and Hallyuwood updates, keep following our coverage here. From Suga to Jung Kook, all 7 BTS members are now done with mandatory service

BTS' management agency, Big Hit Entertainment, had said earlier that no events were planned for Suga's release out of concern for overcrowding. read more Suga, a rapper and songwriter in the global K-pop sensation BTS, has been discharged from South Korea's mandatory military service, marking the official return of all seven members from their enlistment duties. The label confirmed that Suga completed his alternative service duties on Wednesday after using up his remaining leave. His official discharge date is Saturday. BTS' management agency, Big Hit Entertainment, had said earlier that no events were planned for Suga's release out of concern for overcrowding. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD It is a momentous occasion for fans of the K-pop group BTS. The seven singers of the popular K-pop band plan to reunite as a group sometime in 2025 now that they've finished their service. Last week, BTS superstars RM and V were discharged from South Korea's military after fulfilling their mandatory service. Jimin and Jung Kook were discharged a day later. All four were enlisted in December 2023. Six of the group's seven members served in the army, while Suga fulfilled his duty as a social service agent, an alternative form of military service. Jin, the oldest BTS member, was discharged in June 2024. J-Hope was discharged in October. In South Korea, all able-bodied men aged 18 to 28 are required by law to perform 18-21 months of military service under a conscription system meant to deter aggression from rival North Korea. The law gives special exemptions to athletes, classical and traditional musicians, and ballet and other dancers if they have obtained top prizes in certain competitions and are assessed to have enhanced national prestige. K-pop stars and other entertainers aren't subject to such privileges. However, in 2020, BTS postponed their service until age 30 after South Korea's National Assembly revised its Military Service Act, allowing K-pop stars to delay their enlistment until age 30. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD There was heated public debate in 2022 over whether to offer special exemptions of mandatory military service for BTS members, until the group's management agency announced in October 2022 that all seven members would fulfill their duties.
