Three lucky winners take home Dh150,000 each in this week's Big Ticket e-draw.
Suseel Kumar Chittari Thodikayil, an HR assistant from Kerala, who has been living in Saudi Arabia with his family for the past 32 years, first learned about Big Ticket five years ago through friends. Since then, the 58-year-old has been purchasing tickets along with 24 colleagues and friends. His winning ticket came through the Buy 2 Get 2 promotion.
'I came across the Buy 2 Get 2 offer during the Eid holidays and decided to take the chance and purchase the tickets. When I received the winning call, it felt completely unreal; it was such an exciting moment. I plan to split the prize with my group, and we will continue participating in upcoming draws," Suseel said.
A 35-year-old sales employee from Kerala, Vishnu Unnithan, has been living in Dubai for 10 years. He has been regularly purchasing Big Ticket entries with a group of seven friends over the same period.

'When I received the winning call, I was overwhelmed with excitement and happiness. I plan to share the prize money with my friends and use my portion to support my family," shared Vishnu.
Another expat from Kerala, Sreeja Nandakumar Yezhuvath, has been purchasing Big Tickets with her husband for the past 10 years. An Abu Dhabi resident since 2002, the couple bought tickets each month, sometimes on their own and other times with a group of friends. This time, the winning ticket was purchased by her husband just a day before the draw, without informing her.
"To be honest, I was never the one really into Big Ticket, it was always my husband who made sure we bought our tickets every month. When I received the winning call, I was in complete shock and disbelief. I genuinely thought it was a scam at first. That's when my husband told me he had bought a ticket for this draw, and I was overwhelmed with happiness. It still feels like a dream.
"We haven't yet decided how we'll use the prize money, but I do have a few ideas in mind, so hopefully everything works out. I've started believing in Big Ticket more now and will continue entering future draws. My husband always says, 'One day, your time will come.' So my advice to others is: never give up.'
Big win in June
This month's promotions include a grand prize of Dh25 million, 3x Dh150,000 weekly e-draws, The Big Win Contest, and more. Even more exciting, Big Ticket is offering a special ticket bundle all month long.
The spotlight is on the Dh25 million grand prize, which will be awarded during the live draw on July 3. On the same day, 3x winners will also walk away with Dh75,000 each in consolation prizes. Leading up to the big reveal, Big Ticket is keeping the momentum going with weekly e-draws all through June, every week, three lucky participants will each win Dh150,000.
And for all the car enthusiasts, Big Ticket's Dream Car series continues with the Nissan Patrol draw on July 3, followed by the Range Rover Velar draw coming up on August 3.
June brings one of the most exciting offers yet. From the 1st to the 30th, online buyers can take advantage of a Buy 2, Get 2 Free deal on both Big Ticket and Dream Car tickets. And for those shopping in-store, the rewards are even greater: Buy 2, Get 3 Free for Big Ticket and Buy 2, Get 4 Free for Dream Car at Zayed International Airport and Al Ain Airport. The more tickets you hold, the better your chances of winning.

Telegram's Pavel Durov to Divide Wealth Among His 100+ Kids

In true plot-twist fashion, Pavel Durov—founder of encrypted messaging giant Telegram —is planning to share his multi-billion-dollar fortune with over 100 children across the globe. Yes, 100+, and no, this isn't a sci-fi storyline. Speaking to French magazine Le Point, the 40-year-old tech mogul confirmed he has fathered six official children, along with dozens more through sperm donations in at least 12 countries. "I don't want them to tear each other apart after my death," he told the publication. His goal? Equal rights and zero posthumous drama. But don't expect these heirs to be cashing in anytime soon. Durov revealed that none of the kids—official or donor-conceived—will have access to their inheritance for another 30 years. 'I want them to live like normal people... to build themselves up alone... not to be dependent on a bank account,' he said, explaining that character matters more than cash. Based in Dubai, Durov recently made his will, citing the risks that come with his mission to defend freedom and privacy in an increasingly monitored world. 'Defending freedoms earns you many enemies, including within powerful states,' he noted. Telegram, launched in 2013, has become one of the world's most-used messaging platforms, clocking over a billion users monthly. But its unfiltered nature hasn't gone unnoticed by law enforcement. French authorities arrested Durov last year for allegedly failing to combat criminal activity on Telegram—accusations he firmly rejects. 'Just because criminals use our messaging service among many others doesn't make those who run it criminals,' he said. From creating an app used by millions to now creating… a massive inheritance plan for over 100 kids, Durov is definitely in a league of his own.

'First teacher': Dubai's royal family hail Sheikh Mohammed on Father's Day

We all love our parents, and while we are pampered by our mother's love, it is our father we look to for guidance. As the UAE celebrated Father's Day 2025 on Saturday, June 21, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council (DMC), and Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Olympic Committee, wrote touching tributes to their father Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. "I learned from my father that giving is a value that makes life flourish.. and that responsibility does not mean a position.. but rather the ability to give," Sheikh Hamdan wrote in a post on X. "From his wisdom we derive our strength.. and from his words we draw our determination.. and with his vision we move forward with confidence and reassurance towards a more beautiful tomorrow, God willing," the Dubai Crown Prince added. Meanwhile, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed said they were raised to believe that "building a person is more important than building a structure." "At Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid School, we were raised to believe that fatherhood is a message and a responsibility... and that building a person is more important than building an urban structure... and the father remains the support and role model... and the truest story told throughout life," Sheikh Ahmed said. Sheikh Mansoor called Sheikh Mohammed his "first teacher." "On Father's Day, we remember the great role fathers play in building people and shaping nations. A father is not just the head of a family; he is the first teacher and an inspiring role model. I learned from my father, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, that a true father is one who instills values before words and leads with actions before words. Happy Father's Day," he said. Meanwhile, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, said: "Every year, you are my source of strength and support, my inspiration and the light that I follow."
