HONG KONG, May 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — NetDragon Websoft Holdings Limited ('NetDragon' or the 'Company'; Hong Kong Stock Code: 0777), a global leader in building internet communities, is pleased to announce the official launch of the MHESI Skill platform (www.mhesi-skill.org), an AI education platform co-developed with Thailand's Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation ('MHESI') based on NetDragon's edalearning.ai. This platform serves as a key initiative under MHESI's recently launched 'EV Ready+' electric vehicle ('EV') industry talent development program, offering free, certified training to equip Thai citizens with real-world skills and enhance career prospects in the EV sector.
The MHESI Skill platform will offer a suite of EV-focused training programs, initially launching with two fundamental courses — Basic Electric Vehicle Technology Course and Electric Vehicle Maintenance Course. These will be followed by three additional courses covering EV System Design and Development, EV Infrastructure and Charging Systems, and EV Business Management. All courses will be free of charge and include an official e-Certificate issued by MHESI upon completion.
All 'EV Ready+' courses will be delivered in a hybrid 'online + offline' learning format, combining self-paced online theory modules on the MHESI Skill platform with hands-on practical training at partner universities, including Bangkok Thonburi University and King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (Rayong Campus). MHESI also plans to expand practical training sites to other regions nationwide, ensuring equal access to learners across the country.

Cambodia's Hun Sen warns Thailand on oil export suspension
PHNOM PENH: Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen has strongly responded to a recent proposal by Thailand's opposition party calling for the Thai government to halt oil exports to Cambodia. In a Facebook post on Friday (June 20), Hun Sen rejected the idea, firmly stating that Cambodia would not collapse if it ceased receiving oil from Thailand. He also warned that such a move could backfire on Thailand, particularly affecting Thai companies, such as PTT, which operates gas stations in Cambodia. "This is a dangerous game that may end up backfiring," Hun Sen wrote. "Today, the Thai opposition party has suggested that the Thai government stop selling oil to Cambodia, hoping to pressure us into submission. "We want to make it clear that Cambodia will not fall apart just because we stop buying oil from Thailand. In fact, PTT, a Thai company operating in Cambodia, may feel the impact first." Hun Sen further cautioned that if Thailand implemented this measure, it could force PTT to rely on oil imports from other countries to maintain its operations in Cambodia. He also suggested that the Cambodian government consider diversifying its oil sources and reducing dependence on Thailand for other goods. "I advise the government to seriously consider reducing imports from Thailand. "If the border issues remain unresolved, Cambodia should suspend imports of all canned products from Thailand, including alcoholic drinks, energy drinks, canned fish, and meat, and turn to domestic products or goods from other countries," he added. Hun Sen also highlighted that energy was not the only area of contention. He recalled how Thailand had previously used internet access, electricity, and Cambodian labour as political tools. He remarked that Thailand had once used Cambodian workers as leverage, but now seemed to be more conciliatory, recognising the severe impact it would face if Cambodian workers were sent back. "If you truly dare, try sending all Cambodian workers back and see how Thailand's economy fares," he challenged. Finally, Hun Sen called on the Cambodian people to look beyond the present and plan long-term, especially with regard to economic influence being used as a political tool. He urged the country to prepare for future challenges and the potential misuse of economic power in regional geopolitics. BANGKOK: The Special Operations Centre for Thai-Cambodian Border Situations Management (SOC-TCBSM) has introduced five strategic measures to support farmers impacted by Cambodia's recent ban on Thai fruit and vegetable imports. These strategies aim to assist agricultural communities and mitigate the effects of Cambodia's recent ban on Thai fruit and vegetable imports, which was enforced due to the ongoing border tensions between the two nations. The five strategies are as follows: 1. "Thai Fruit Festival 2025" campaign The campaign will be organised in collaboration with retail and wholesale stores, local markets, and trade associations such as the Thai Agricultural Wholesale Market Association and the Thai Fresh Market Association. The festival aims to promote the consumption of Thai fruits. 2. Purchasing mangoes for distribution as complimentary gifts In collaboration with four fuel station chains—PT, PTT, Bangchak, and Susco—with 1,097 outlets across Bangkok and its vicinity, this initiative will target the purchase of 2,000 tons of mangoes to be given away as promotional gifts. 3. Electric Train Service set to boost Johor tourism
JOHOR BARU: The Electric Train Service (ETS) that is expected to be fully completed by August will significantly boost the tourism industry here, says Tourism Malaysia. Deputy Director General (Promotion) Datuk Musa Yusof said the timing of the ETS completion aligns well with preparations for Visit Malaysia 2026. "The ETS will connect Johor Baru directly to Kuala Lumpur, which will strengthen the industry, especially in terms of tourist movement. "It will allow visitors to travel between these two places in about three and a half hours, enabling them to visit more locations. "If they stay the night for cultural events such as this, it will also help increase hotel occupancy rates," he said. He added that the spillover effects of the ETS, which has reached Segamat since March, are already visible. "We can already see Segamat benefiting from this, especially during the durian season," he said at a press conference after officiating a Gawai and Kaamatan Festival celebration at a hotel here. In March, Transport Minister Anthony Loke stated that two sets of ETS trains from China were expected to arrive in April and would be operational by August after undergoing necessary trials. He mentioned that the trains, along with another eight sets, are being assembled in Batu Gajah, Perak, and will complete the southern route of the line, following the start of the ETS service at Segamat station in Johor on 15 March. 'We don't have to wait for all 10 sets to start operating; we will use whichever set is completed. "For Gemas to Johor Baru, there will be three phases - Phase 1 to Segamat, Phase 2 to Kluang, and Phase 3 to JB Sentral,' he said after travelling on the ETS from KL Sentral to Segamat station in March.
