Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after vehicle hits pedestrians
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a vehicle hit a number of pedestrians in Co Down.
The incident happened in Millisle on Saturday.

Detective Inspector Oonagh Ryan said two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
'We received a report at around 11.05pm, that a vehicle had collided with a number of pedestrians outside licensed premises on Main Street, Millisle,' she said.
'It was reported that the vehicle involved turned around and drove past the licensed premises again before making off from the scene.
'Officers, along with colleagues from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, attended the scene and two people were taken to hospital for treatment of their injuries, which have been described as serious.'

She said the vehicle was found a short time later outside Walkers Lane.
'One man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a number of driving offences, he is currently in police custody,' she added.
'Our inquiries are at an early stage and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, who witnessed the incident, or anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference CW 1805 of 17/05/25.'

A school trust has defended spending more than £200,000 in legal fees for their head teacher's legal action against two Flanagan, head of Pensby High School in Heswall, Wirral, took legal against a couple he accused of harassing him. "The trust is permitted to provide such support through self-generated funds – primarily income generated from private use of its grounds and sports facilities."Mr Flanagan claimed he had been accused of "bullying" children when they were punished for breaking school said parents Keith and Stephanie Critchley had been abusive and threatening several parents denied the claim and said they raised concerns that their daughters were being bullied "on a daily basis" at the school but were not being listened to. Mr Flanagan said the ordeal had been "a hugely upsetting and traumatic period".He added: "Legal proceedings were always the option of last resort and they followed strenuous efforts by the school governors to seek to end the harassment." Two arrests after gunshots fired at Birmingham property
Two people have been detained by police after gunshots were fired at a property in Birmingham. A 50-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life, said police. Emergency services were called to School Road, Billesley, at 01:30 BST on Midlands Police said its Major Crime Unit carried out an immediate investigation and inquiries were still ongoing. A cordon was put in place to allow forensic investigations, the force added. It said no one was hurt during the incident and inquiries were still being carried out, including a review of CCTV footage from around the area. The force said: "We know that incidents like this can be alarming, and our officers will remain in the area today to offer reassurance - please speak to them if you have any concerns."
