(Ministry of Transportation/Camera) Drivers are being asked to avoid Highway 417 in downtown Ottawa after a crash involving seven vehicles Sunday afternoon. Ontario Provincial Police posted to X at 3:07 p.m. reporting a multi-vehicle collision in the westbound lanes near Bronson Avenue. Several lanes of the highway remain closed with one lane getting by, according to Ministry of Transportation traffic cameras. An Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson says there were no significant injuries. Four people were assessed by emergency crews at the scene. Two people did not wish to be transported to hospital. Ottawa OPP remains on scene as an investigation continues. Police did not say when all lanes will reopen. This story will be updated
