Muireann explained: "What that means is she dyes the pepper to bring it up to the colour of the salt, it's just evening out the colour.
"The bottom of my hair is still my old masked colour so it will take a while for that to dry out."
Muireann O'Connell shares on-air looks after stressful morning
Muireann gushed over the "difference it made to her life" as she cut out multiple trips to the hair salon per month.
She said: "Hopefully I will only be going every eight to 10 weeks!"
The host then shared the final results of her most recent "grey blending" session with her hairdresser.
Muireann looked incredible with a bright blonde colour in her hair with a lighter tone around her roots.
The broadcaster wrote in her caption: "
So this is the grey-blending process
@normajeanhair
started on my hair in January.
'HERE FOR THIS'
"
It's been a game changer for the scalp ( and a money saver for the pocket) The itch was something ferocious. I used to have chunks coming off my head. Maaaaaanky. Still have dandruff but nowhere near as bad.
"Being grey is a pain in the hoop because the texture of the hair- well at least the texture of my hair- is brillo pad if you're not washing it every day. If people wanna go grey, super! All for it! I don't. Each to their own."
And fans all flocked to the comment section to react to Muireann's latest hair tip.
Roseanna wrote: "Wow, grey blending, I'm here for this."
Carol said: "Love it, it looks soo naturally beautiful."
Maggie added: "So much nicer now ,I dont know why so many more
women
don't embrace it. It's beautiful!"
And Sinead remarked: "Every nine to 12 days wow. This must be life changing!!"

A walk-in ready family home with extras in Dublin 3's Clontarf Park on the market for €795k
Asking price: €795,000 Agent: Karen Mulvaney Property (01) 833 6335 Long considered one of Dublin's swishest addresses, it's easy to see why buyers are prepared to pay a premium for properties in Clontarf. As TV's dynamic duo Phil and Kirstie never tire of reminding us, it's all about location, location, location. Stretching to 4.5km with views over Dublin Bay, Clontarf's waterfront offers green spaces, a cycle track and access to St Anne's Park and North Bull Island. It's a 15-minute drive to the city centre and 20 minutes to the airport, and there are schools, shops and sporting amenities on the doorstep. Within this sought-after suburb, Clontarf Park is an estate of terraced houses set around a communal green. Following a renovation and extension that resulted in an energy-efficient B2 BER and increased the floor area to 1,354 sq ft, No36 will appeal to buyers looking for a walk-in ready family home in a highly desirable area. A hallway with guest WC off leads on to an open-plan living/dining room flowing through to a contemporary kitchen in the rear extension. This is a bright space with an island/breakfast bar, streamlined units, skylights and French doors to the back garden. There's a separate utility room on this level, while upstairs are three bedrooms and a bathroom. Above that is another en suite room in the converted attic. A big bonus outside comes in the form of a versatile garden room that could serve equally well as a home office, studio, den or gym. There's also an EV charging point in the front drive.
