Mid-cap construction sector stock PNC Infratech over the week end ( on Saturday 7 June 2025) announced winning ₹ 240 crore order. In its intimation to the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd and the BSE or the Bombay Stock Exchange, PNC Infratech announced Receipt of 'Letter of Acceptance' from PWD-Rajasthan.
The scope of works for the PNC Infratech as per the received Letter of Acceptance' from PWD-Rajasthan is for construction of a flyover in Bharatpur . The PNC Infratech in its release said that "Company has received Letter of Acceptance dated 06.06.2025 from PWD-Rajasthan for the project namely "Construction of Flyover from Heeradas Chouraha to Kumher Gate Chouraha in Bharatpur City, Bharatpur" on 07.06.2025.
The domestic Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) order is to be completed by PNC Infratech in 24 months from the issue of order. The broad consideration of the order or contract as per PNC Infratech or the Awarded value id Rs. 239.94 Crore.
Mid-cap construction sector stock PNC Infratech share price that opened at ₹ 307.80. At the time of opening PNC Infratech share price was up close too 1% over the previous days closing price of ₹ 305.10. The PNC Infratech share price thereafter gained further the intraday highs of ₹ 319.80 which translated into intraday gains of close to 4% for the PNC Infratech share price.

State wants global architects for Maha Vista, to float fresh tender

MUMBAI: The response to the state's grand plan for a Maha Vista has not been 'maha' enough. The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance government will therefore float a fresh tender, inviting architects from all over the world to submit designs for a makeover of the Mantralaya precinct in South Mumbai. Chief engineer Ranjeet Rahane said, 'The tender we floated earlier drew a response from just three Indian architects. The government wants more architects, and global ones. Plans to completely remodel the Mantralaya precinct, in the offing for a long time, began to take shape in February last year, when deputy chief minister and finance minister Ajit Pawar announced the Maha Vista project in his budget speech. With the space crunch at the secretariat assuming alarming proportions, and given that the building itself is more than 60 years old, the government plans to redevelop the secretariat and annex; the iconic Vidhan Bhavan, or state legislature; and the row of British-era ministerial bungalows on Madam Cama Road opposite the secretariat. After the Mantralaya fire in 2012, several government departments such as medical education, public health, rural development and water supply have been operating from independent premises. Currently, the secretariat is undergoing major renovations to accommodate the ballooning staff of the ministers, many of whom have been assigned cabins being built in the corridors. The row of colonial-era ministerial bungalows opposite Mantralaya too will be razed, making way for residential towers to accommodate IAS officers and ministers. They will be equipped with modern amenities and adequate parking facilities. Since the precinct is defined by art deco norms, the rules are likely to be tweaked so that the towers align with the area's architectural identity. Since colonial times, the area where the ministerial bungalows stand and its periphery were marked for a garden. Over time, the Mahatma Gandhi Garden was developed near the LIC Building, while part of the space opposite was developed into Jawaharlal Nehru Garden. The rest was taken over to build the state BJP office, and other offices for political parties.

Tamil Nadu Governor emphasises urgent need to address intellectual disabilities

Intellectual disabilities are increasingly becoming a key issue in the country and must be addressed as a top priority, Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi said. He noted that a solution has to be found for intellectual disability. Speaking at the South Zone Regional Abilympics and Conference 2025, said: 'Developing technology which will benefit people with disabilities (PwDs) in the long run is the need of the hour. I am hopeful that institutes like IITM will come up with the right R&D for the PwD sector.' Organised by the National Abilympic Association of India (NAAI) in collaboration with Sarthak Educational Trust, and supported by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Government of India, TPCDT, and IndusInd Bank, the event saw over 100 PwDs from across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Puducherry. Jitender Aggarwal, Secretary-General of NAAI and Founder & CEO of Sarthak Educational Trust highlighted that they have help over 1 lakh people with disabilities to secure jobs. also pointed out that Sarthak Educational Trust is planning to launch Sarthak Global University, which is aimed to fill in the gaps in Early Intervention and therapy for infants and children, shortage of rehabilitation professionals and more. The plan is to start with 5 schools in 20 departments providing over 200 courses which is aimed to train 10,000 professionals specializing in disability rehab, inclusive education, assistive technology and more. This will enable 100,000 PwD's through education, vocational training, and skill development programs. V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras said, ' We have a centre developed for mobility in IITM. As a country we have the human capital to develop these technological needs which can benefit PwD's in their daily life. We are looking forward to a long technical collaboration with Sarthak to provide mobility and accessibility solutions for PwD's.'

GHMC to build twin three-lane flyovers at Kukatpally ‘Y' junction

HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will soon take up the survey, investigation and construction of two three-lane flyovers at Kukatpally 'Y' junction — one on the left-hand side (towards Ameerpet) and the other on the right-hand side (towards Miyapur) along NH-65. The Rs 180 crore project will be executed under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) model and is part of the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) initiative, aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving urban connectivity. The state government granted administrative sanction in December 2024 and permitted the GHMC to invite tenders. Bids have been called for the Kukatpally 'Y' and IDL lake junctions flyovers. The scope includes standard and obligatory viaduct spans with sacrificial shuttering, reinforced soil (RE) and RCC toe walls, crash barriers, friction and approach slabs, anti-carbonation coating on exposed concrete, safety view barriers, overhead gantries, landscaping below the viaduct, electrification, signages, road studs, drainage connections and utility shifting.
