King Salman Orders Hosting 1,000 Palestinian Pilgrims

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud issued on Monday a royal order to host 1,000 Palestinian pilgrims to perform Hajj 2025, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The King has ordered the 'hosting of 1,000 male and female pilgrims from the families of killed or wounded Palestinians' at his own expense, according to the statement.
As part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program for Hajj and Umrah, the initiative seeks to support the Palestinian people amid the ongoing war in Gaza.
Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh expressed his gratitude to King Salman and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for this generous gesture.
Moreover, Al Alsheikh also said that it depicted Saudi leadership's commitment to supporting Palestinians and boosting the bonds of Islamic brotherhood.
The ministry has immediately began developing a comprehensive plan to facilitate the performance of Hajj for the Palestinian pilgrims and provide them with seamless services.
Supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, the program has hosted more than 64,000 pilgrims from various countries.
In the light of this, the program stands as a testament to the Kingdom's ongoing efforts and initiatives to serve Islam and Muslims and strengthen its position as the heart of the Islamic world and the Qibla of Muslims.

Saudi Arabia condemns Israeli strikes on Iran, urges return to negotiations

He called for an immediate halt to military operations, urged all parties to avoid escalation, and emphasized the need to return to diplomatic negotiations between Iran and the international community. PM Sharif orders early Hajj planning, calls for private scheme reform

KARACHI: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday directed the religious affairs ministry to begin preparations for the 2026 Hajj immediately, while calling for urgent reforms to the country's private Hajj scheme following a situation that left thousands of pilgrimage slots unused this year. Pakistan received a quota of 179,210 pilgrims from Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2025, which was evenly divided between the government and private Hajj operators. While the government filled its full allocation of over 88,000 pilgrims, a major portion of the private quota remained unutilized due to delays by companies in meeting payment and registration deadlines. Private operators, however, blamed the situation on technical glitches such as payment issues and communication breakdowns. 'Preparations for next year's Hajj operation must begin immediately,' the prime minister said, according to a statement released by his office. 'The operational plan should be developed in accordance with the Hajj policy issued by Saudi Arabia,' he continued. 'No negligence in serving pilgrims next year will be tolerated.' Sharif also emphasized the need to 'regularize' the private Hajj scheme. Previously, Pakistan's religious affairs minister, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, had confirmed that over 67,000 private-sector slots went unused, despite a last-minute effort to reclaim some of the allocation. The shortfall prompted criticism and concerns over regulation and the capacity of private Hajj companies.
