Has Mercy for None been renewed for season 2?
At the time of writing, Netflix have not renewed Mercy for None for season 2. Generally Netflix would gauge numerous metrics before renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then looking at the drop-off rate.
With some shows, cancellations or renewals happen quickly. Other times, it can take months before a decision over a show's future is made. So far, Mercy for None has had a good reaction online from critics and audiences alike.
Given the way this show is set up, and the ending we receive, we're predicting that this will not be renewed for a second season.
Having said that, we do also know that completion rate is a massive metric for these streamers so that could play a pivotal role here.

What we know about season 2 so far:
Barely anything is known about season 2 right now. Given most Korean dramas are reserved to one season, it's rare to find these renewed. With the rare exception of ongoing Netflix shows (Love ft. Marriage and Divorce, Hospital Playlist etc.) then it seems unlikely that this one will be renewed.
Having said that though, we have seen Taxi Driver and Tale of the Nine Tailed renewed recently, alongside Alchemy of Souls too. Given how steady the ratings are for this series, could we see this one buck the trend? It seems very unlikely that Mercy for None will buck the trend.
There is always the possibility that the actors return for a follow-up for a sequel or a spin-off featuring the same characters but considering all of this, we believe this will not be renewed.

BTS member Suga discharged from South Korean military service
SEOUL, June 21 (Reuters) - K-pop group BTS member Suga was discharged from the South Korean military on Saturday, the seventh and final member to complete the country's mandatory national service amid expectations of the band's comeback from a hiatus. Suga finished his military tenure as a social service agent on Saturday with little fanfare as fans looked forward to his reunion with the rest of the band, a K-pop sensation since it started up in 2013. "We confirm that Suga effectively completed his alternative service on June 18 by using his remaining leave. His official discharge date is June 21," BTS' label, Big Hit Music, said in a statement. Unlike with his BTS bandmates, there was no public event planned to mark Suga's release because of overcrowding concerns. The seven members of the group put their global music careers on hold in 2022 to begin their military service, starting with Jin in December that year. South Korea's mandatory national service can be for terms of up to 18 months. Shortly after his official discharge, Suga posted a message on fan community platform Weverse, saying he was "sorry for the disappointment and concern caused by what happened last year", and also apologizing to his bandmates. Last year, Suga was fined 15 million won ($11,500) by a court for drunk driving while on an electric scooter. The group is expected to hold its largest-ever world tour in 2026, an NH Securities entertainment analyst said in a report. My 11-year-old son stole this manga book from me — it's that good
Osamu Tezuka is revered as the 'godfather of manga'. When the Astro Boy creator died at the age of 60 in 1989 he left behind a legacy as one of the most influential cartoonists, but he also left one of his beloved characters without an ending. Unico is a 'brave, young unicorn' cursed to forget his identity, so he travels through space and time, spreading love wherever he goes, always on the run from the jealous gods and monsters who seek to destroy him. Unico first appeared in a manga magazine in the 1970s, but the series was never concluded. Now the baton — or should that be the magical, glowing unicorn horn? — has been passed to the American writer Samuel Sattin and two Japanese artists, Chifuyu Sasaki and Naoko Kawano, better known by the name Gurihiru, who have been given permission to complete Unico's story in a rebooted series. The result is enchanting. Dropped by his protector, the West Wind, during a storm, Unico falls through the sky and wakes up in an abandoned factory town where he meets a resourceful mouse named Garapachi. In this strange, gloomy world he befriends Chiko, a sickly girl who lives with her grandfather. Unico learns that his new friends are trapped by Mother, 'the sinister robot who controls the town factory'. Mother is a great villain — imagine an AI nanny gone bad. She is a pointy, floating drone, no bigger than two paper hats stuck together, yet manages to be completely menacing. The artists have done justice to the cinematic sweep of Tezuka's work. It's not for nothing that he was admired by Stanley Kubrick, Akira Kurosawa and Guillermo del Toro. The artwork does all the emotional heavy lifting in the same way an orchestral score does in a film. The action leaps through multiple dimensions, from the gloomy, foreboding world of the factory to the celestial realm of the evil goddess, Venus, who brings a henchman back from the dead to hunt down poor Unico. Even the corny dialogue works: ''Why have I been awakened?' asks Iver, the resurrected ruler of the Red Forest. 'I have a task for you,' explains the goddess. 'There is a unicorn who imperils my reign. You will hunt him and kill him, but most importantly you will bring me a piece of his horn.'' This is the second volume of the series, but each one works as a standalone. Dav Pilkey, the creator of Dog Man, called it 'a spellbinding masterpiece' but don't take his word for it.
